The day a dear friend brought me to this arts enclavechanged my life. It has been a precious venue to me ever since. The curators are excellent! We, the artistic community have a great debt to Joe and Coreen Overstreet. As a teacher, they equipped and fortified me to return to my classroom. Every month they made me whole. Every month they made me happy. When they return..I will be there...God Speed!!!
The best for art in my hood
I love the fact that the gallery looks at non-western influences in their support for artists. There are many myths that surround African-American art, its origins, its past and its present reality. I know of no other gallery like it.Youre authentic- not looking approvals. You choose it again and again. Not an easy job to do. More recognition is due.
