Good and affordable venue, opened about 15 years ago, the BAC features several floors. If you are reading this short review, the chances are you will be heading to Jerome Robbins Theater, itself located on two levels, floor 3 is for the Orchestra section of the theater and 3b for the Balcony. The access is via both the elevator or the stairs, located on the left of the main entrance. Taking the stairs includes one trick. Once you get to the 2nd floor, the further portions of the stairs is blocked off. You then have to take the alternative staircase accessed through the standard emergency exit door.To check in your outwear, you have to use the coat check (self-service) in front of the Orchestra doors. The venues design is excellent, due to the steep incline, almost every seat in the audience allows for an unobstructed view. Most of the BAC shows are offered at a budget-friendly price of $25 per person. The lower level (Ll) houses Mary Flagler Cary Hall and Victor & Sono Elmaleh Musicians Lounge. The 1st floor houses Charles Grossman Cafe, Norman S. Benzaquen Hall, Marianne Lockwood Green Hall, and Virginia James Learning & Media Studio, while the 2nd floor is a home for Charles Grossman Lounge, Baisley Powell Elebash Room, and Robert & Jean Ashton Music Library. The 4th floor houses Howard Gilman Performance Space, Rudolph Nureyev Stdio, as well Danny Kaye & Sylvia Fine Kaye Studio. The 5th floor is reserved for BAC and OSL (Orchestra of St. Lukes) offices, and the last, 6th floor houses John Cage & Merce Cunningham Studio and Christina Sterner Studio.

A learning, entertaining and growing experience always @BACSpace. I was able to see a wealth and variety of art develop before my eyes. And the setting was fantastic as well. My photo (last) and theirs (there are artists of many media).

Saw the artists in residence-beautiful facility, nice and helpful staff, horrid location but definitely worth the tea 3 block walk (get run thinner!), but the artists never have anything to do with ballet! But the B is for Baryshnikov, and not Ballet....
