OMG!!! We had a blast at the Little Tropical Isle!!! Our bartender was named Stella and she was so awesome! We were there on Christmas Eve, we had great drinks (hand Grenades) , and she was very helpful with giving us some tips on great restaurants in the area! We have more family flying in for the holiday and will definitely be back to this location. Anyone that’s looking for a great spot to have drinks, I definitely recommend Little Tropical Isle!!!!

Went there yesterday while bar hopping and the bar tender is the most abrasive and rude one ever.. We ordered for a round of shots and she was serving everything as if she doesn’t need/want to.. wouldn’t give eye contact or smile or answer properly to anything!! We hated the behavior of her and did not order any of the hand grenades which in the first place attracted us towards the storeTotally unacceptable behavior

Only one bartender was working but he somehow managed to keep up with the huge crowd. We didnt wait long for a bar seat. Very friendly place. The Hand Grenade was awesome, but I think I liked the Horny Alligator more.

You will find bars and live music everywhere opens till late.

Nothing like a hand grenade!

I wasnt necessarily in Call of Duty but the grenade here was definitely the bomb! This is their signature piece so it seems that all the bartenders pretty much have it down pact on how to create this famed drink of choice.We only had a couple of these as this is what they were known for so we definitely took the touristic route. As far as the atmosphere of the bar it is very dim and low lit at night. But thats okay because sometimes we would rather have it that way.I know there was a lot of foot traffic because we went when it was very cold but the place look very dingy and kind of dirty all over. You definitely would not want to slip up and fall and have your hands and face touch the floor, you might feel like you need a hazmat suit afterwards.Other than that TVs are very ample if you want to drop in and watch some sports and they have a lot of cool Nostalgia features around the bar and second fun room. The place is very easily accessible as it is right off Bourbon Street and the sign really catches your eye. Definitely stop in and have a grenade you will feel military mane afterwards. Some creep up on people some hit you right in the face.

Always a pleasure to visit & get the best margaritas n town However this isnt the location with the frozen tropical drink So i had 2 settle for the infamous hand grenade No issues jus wasnt feelin like a hand grenade at that moment lol

I got the famous hand grenade drink here. It is called the most powerful drink in New Orleans, so drink cautiously. They had live music there when we were there. Pretty good atmosphere.

Always a good time, bartenders always friendly and attentive. Handgrenades are really the best deal in town. Can get extremely crowded on busy nights, like barely standing room only but that is always a good sign if you ask me.

When in New Orleans , a hand grenade is All YOU Need. Preferably Frozen, its the best, Iced not so much, you taste the concoction of Liqueurs (which supposedly is a secret recipe and no bartender will tell you). I guess its a French Quarter thing!

This is the first place I ever bought a drink. I bought a hand grenade and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar. Everyone was very friendly and the bartenders were very fast with the service. The beer was a little expensive, but I guess thats just to be expected in new Orleans.

I wont ever go into this bar again. I love a good Long Island Iced Tea. I do not accept watered-down versions and when I order, I always say, I dont want a watered-down version. Give me a real one. The bar tender on this afternoon was a piece of work. He said, I only make good drinks... or something to that effect. He gave me the drink and I tasted it. He wandered in the other direction and I waited. I told him, This is not a Long Island...it is a watered-down version. He scowled at me and said rudely, Well, we dont give refunds. I smiled and raised my eyebrow and said, Well, thats just fine. I dont pay for watered-down drinks I cannot enjoy. With that, I got up and left. He pointed at me and said, Ill report you. Yeah, right. What a poor excuse for a bar-tender. Wont go back and wont recommend this corner bar.

To long of a line and bartender was serving people who cut in front of the line. Only one bartender and could not taste the alcohol it was watered down so much wasted experience.

Visited NOLA last year for the second time and finally got to try the grenades, which were fantastic!! However the first tropical isle we tried on Bourbon, had a very rude and nasty doorman. He accused my friend and I of having fake IDs because the expiration date was in 2054...WOW! Ive never had that happen before haha! In Arizona our license doesnt expire until we are 65! We insisted for him to check with management on this, but he refused and proceeded to kick us out. Anyways we ended up going to another Tropical Isle, where they treated us amazingly throughout our visit. Please make your doormen aware of this. Bourbon street gets a lot of tourists, and I would hate for a fellow Arizonan to get treated that way.

I entered in at the bar and the lady said I will be right with youand started serving other guest who just walked in.I Asked her about it. She said I dont like your attitude and asked the security guard to escort me out and threaten to call the police. So was not loud and she made a scene. I then Request to speak with a manager and she refused. I Called to speak with a manager and she hung up. She isVery ignorant woman. If you want to spend money at an establishment and treated poorly this would be the place.

Ok, listen...a hand grenade tastes like Hawaiian Punch with Cayenne (to replicate the alcohol burn) its not as strong as having a martini or a Manhattan so if you are past your early college drinking days and still want to get drunk find a good classic cocktail or 2 beers or 2 glasses of wine
