I loved this little display of the family’s Mardi Gras costumes. It is like a step back in time and in history.
Our tour guide was amazing and so very knowledgeable! He told us many interesting tidbits of Mobile history! Definitely worth it!!
Very nice and informative visit. Quite a history lesson of the time period.
Lots of fun. Even got a slice of kings cake
Beautiful personal collection of historic mardis gras costumes.
Not a museum, really, just a small gallery of badly maintained costumes. It was interesting to see, but I would have been outraged if they had charged money for it. Most of the pictures posted to this location are actually from a larger museum down the road.
Helen was an amazing tour guide. We learned the history of the indigenous peoples, their costumes and meaning of Mardi Gras!
Museum is a bit of a stretch. It is basically one room above a restaurant, with some dresses and costumes in glass displays and a bunch of photographs hanging on the wall. Yes it is a nice display, but it should not take you more than five minutes to complete your self-guided tour.95% of the photos attached to this location are from a separate location called MARDI GRAD WORLD, which is down by the port and that is where you see all the floats are made and stored.
Small but cute.
It has so much potential. But the visit is just a video and the storage of past events
Awesome
Cool stuff
Only open when restaurant is open
