Difficult to deal with. My wife tried to register through LiveAuctioneers for a Neal Auction Co. event. Despite LiveAuctioneers already having our credit card info, Neal Auction Co. insisted that we enter the payment info on their website, as well. When we did, Neal Auction Co. refused to accept the registration because the LiveAuctioneers account is in my wifes name and the credit card is in my - her husbands - name (we have the same last name.) We decided to walk away rather than jump through any more hoops for Neal Auction Co. There are plenty of other auction houses out there who want to do business without all the headaches. Business must be very good for Neal Auction Co. if they have no problem turning away qualified bidders.

Pity Google doesnt offer zero or negative stars. Note this companys fine print regarding condition reports:We regret that we do not accept requests for Condition Reports on items with low estimates of $500.00 or below.Is this arrogance, laziness, dishonesty-- or some combination of all three? Their policy is especially repulsive considering the low quality of their catalog descriptions.RECOMMENDATION: the world has no lack of auction houses. Shop elsewhere.

Some nice things, but some fake Chinese items. Rude staff.

My husband and I have had nothing short of a wonderful experience with Neal Auction. Incredible selection of art and furniture from all over the world. Plus, their entire staff from the guys that helped us pick up our purchase to the auctioneer are knowledgeable and kind.

If I could give a zero I would! This last bad experience (we had one other where we agreed to purchase a clock and then went off to get the money and when we walked in, the price went up $1000.00). Well this time we put in a bid on a baby bed the day before the auction started and received an email that we were the high bidders for $150.00. Then the day of the auction we received a notice saying we lost the item and it was sold for $52.00. What! We called Neal Auction immediately and reported the issue to a female who was quite condescending and stated there was nothing she could do since the auction was going on. She promised a return call the following day. Of course nothing. When we called we were told the bed was gone and too bad....we do make mistakes. Dont waste your money or time with this auction house. There are far better ones in the City. Our next stop is the BBB.

Neal Auction is a treasure. Ive been buying and selling there for more than twenty years, and Ive never had a bad experience. The quality of material offered is always first rate, and Ive enjoyed great success with the things Ive consigned for sale. Ive also had the pleasure of getting to know many of the people who work at Neal. They are pros--helpful, friendly, and easy to deal with. I couldnt recommend the place more highly.

Sent an email via invaluable to request some additional photos and condition report, was ignored. Called in the day before the auction to follow up and was told no one has time to help. Only 1 blurred picture of the item on the website, cant imagine anyone could bid online with such little information. Very ignorance and rude to potential buyers.
