Always a great experience and great safe place to get away from hone during Covid. They are safe and staff is super friendly.

Always have a wonderful time here, great comics and a solid menu. I usually get the chicken tenders, you will not be disappointed! Smaller venue but thats one of the reasons I like it, you and the comic can interact if they choose to do crowd work.

In town and working and just so happened that Drew Lynch was in town. Always wanted to see him and he was as good as I expected. So its five stars for Drew and three stars for the club. Having a two item minimum on the menu is probably industry standards. Its a nice club its got typical bar food but what kills me is it stated on their menu as a convenience 18% will be added for the tip. When your check comes theres room to add a tip although one has already been added. The service was fine but being forced to tip is not the way to go. If you didnt force that tip onto the check I probably would have tipped more but seeing how I was obligated to tip what you wanted I saw no sense in adding to it. I think the club is hurting their staff by automatically adding 18%. I usually tip between 20 and 25%

We recently saw Drew Lynch at Zanies over the weekend. The show was great, food was great, and staff was super friendly. I highly recommend the stress reliever and the nachos!! I was however completely shocked that there were so many people in such a small place, and that masks were only required when standing. We wore ours the entire time that we weren’t eating, as tables and seating are in there TIGHT (You literally can reach out and touch people in all directions). We opted to stay for the show as we had already invested in the tickets and the trip into town, however had we known we would have stayed in KY. I do wish they had limited the capacity and increased the number of shows to accommodate some social distancing. However, at this point we can only pray we didn’t bring Covid home with us to our families. If you are at all concerned with getting sick during this pandemic this is not the place for you!

No temporatures were taken at the door. No Social Distancing, patrons that do not know each other share tables & tables are right next to each other not 6ft apart. Also there was little to zero actual enforcement of mask mandate while not seated once inside.

Karlous Miller is hilarious. Loved the way he interacted with the crowd. He was a welcome distraction from our current pandemic.

Great atmosphere, respectful staff, parking was relatively easy to find. But the 2 food/drink item per person policy is ridiculous. Be prepared to drop $28 for 4 Blue Moons that would have cost you $5 at home. Or you can buy the $12 chicken tenders or $16 burger ...tough call.

Love Zanies, go as often as we can. If you need to eat for your 2 item minimum, the pork tacos and chicken wings are highlights of the menu. Theyre doing a great job with spacing people for Covid now.

A jem of a club. Fantastic comics and MC. The atmosphere was fresh and electric. The staff was respectful and friendly. Crowd was a excited for the show. If you are ever interested in something to do, go have a good time.

What a fantastic way to end or even begin your evening! We had a 7pm show, caught a bite out to eat, arrived at 6 pm. We were sat and got a couple of cocktails. They had a DJ get the crowd all singing along to some Great music. Show started on time with 1st of 3 comedians. All were very funny and laughed till I cried with the headliner, Southern Mamma. Was home by 9pm. Truly Great date night! Looking forward to Many more like this. Go to Zannies, you will Not regret it!!

Just went to my first show here and they were very nice. Food was OK, pretty much typical not good comedy club food. Pitcher of margaritas was so bad. So much sour mix I had to pour water into half the glass so it was drinkable. They were WEAK. A pitcher between 2 people and we felt no buzz. I also had indigestion for the rest of the night and next day due to how awfully sour they were.

I love Zanies and its a great place to enjoy comedy. The only draw back is the price of food and drinks. The prices are somewhat ridiculous.

Preacher Lawson bombed. I dont believe he prepared. Forgetting jokes his opening act was better then him.

Cool place to watch comedy, has a balcony level that has a good vantage point. Staff is friendly and the food is decent.

The comedians were great the staff was very nice. Drinks were little high but was made very well made

Kate Quigley was good and so were the guys. It would have been amazing if the sound was louder because often we couldnt hear what they were saying over a group talking loudly on a table next to us. Service was good, snacks etc. Nice place

Foods expensive & I get it they have to charge to survive but $12 for a mixed drink is kinda nuts. 4 drinks for $48.If they charged a bit less people would get more. Just a thought

Zanies Comedy Night club is friendly, affordable, has lots to offer if you are hungry or thirsty. I Had fries. They were perfectly cooked. I was very satisfied overall.

One of our favorite places to go to when visiting Nashville. Great place for laughs and food. The comedian lineup is always good. Tonight was a different night with a sold out show, extremely busy but overall staff did a good job.

Well always be a great place to go for laughs... but on the other hand it’s super small, weird and super close sitting also difficult parking... it would a good idea for expansion but not to much because the intimate atmosphere with the comedians are a great plus

Went early, got great seats! Yes it is tight in there! Food was great, our waiter was beyond awesome (didnt get his name and wish I did so his manager would see this) and funny!! The show was spectacular, Josh Blue had me laughing so hard I was crying!!!! Definitely going back!

The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. I understand many venues ask no pictures or video, but being forced to put your phone in their phone jail sleeves that can only be opened if you leave was a bit extreme. The box office had to run our card 3 times before getting payment to work, and the manager on duty was by far the most rude, horrible manager I’ve ever spoken to. The opening comedian/host was awesome. I regret paying to see Chad Daniels though.

This place is a Nashville gem. Zanies is a great comedy club with locations nationwide, and because of that has the ability to bring through some really spectacular acts. These will be folks ranging from big time writers, comics, actors, and performers, to really sharp up-and-coming folks who will have you crying in your seats. The 5 stars for this place goes purely to their consistent ability to bring amazing talent through, night after night.Beyond the performers though, the place makes some pretty solid cocktails. Beware the food, I dont think I recall a single item on the menu that isnt fried.Get here 30min early for a floor seat, you dont want to be upstairs.

Its tight in there so if you have issues with personal space this might not be the spot for you.The sound is good but Im not a sound gal.Never had bad service the staff stays on top of things throughtout the show. They give you your check back toward the end of the show and if its a cell phone free show where you are required to lock your phone in the security bag the lighting is low and the tab cant be read.But its a great intimate spot to see comedy.

My first time at a comedy club and got to see DL Hugley. He was hilarious!! Had the best time ever.

Wonderful night of good food, great cocktails, and terrific people. Loved the comedians, our wait staff was wonderful & the atmosphere was charming.

The service was not good because we had to constantly look for our server to return to check on us, the chicken sandwich was dry, the hamburger was dry as well and it was 65.00 for two sandwiches and three drinks

Even though we were nearly last in line, still good seats. Wait staff was on point! Good show, good time. Just watch where you park, we got our window busted out and items stolen. Rough neighborhood.

The comedians were good but the place is way too small and we had to wait in the freezing cold for over an hour before we were able to get in. My first and probably last time going unless I go in the spring or summer when the weather isnt as bad. Their menu wasnt bad pretty standard bar menu. I ordered the chicken nachos and they were pretty good!

Terry and Melissa are fabulous! They had me rolling with laughter, and I made new friends in them. Everything was amazing..food and drink too!

Seating is horrible. Tables are small and they require you to sit your whole party on one side of the table, so then you can look at strangers on the other side. The completely rude host told us to sit on one side, then another person said we were just fine to sit across from each other. Then the same guy host (short, brownish blonde hair) comes back and tells us the exact opposite. So at this point I’m clearly irritated because the communication of the staff is apparently non existent. To top it all off, there’s a two item minimum, which would be great if the food was edible. The wings looked like they were cut from a dying chicken. More bone than meat. Then have the nerve to put in automatic gratuity for a party of 2. Never felt more ripped off in my life. Told us there were no refunds (before the show started). The only good part was seeing Jess Hilarious.

The entire Zanies Staff was awesome tonight. These are hardworking people who managed to be super attentive. Brandon was our server and this guy didn’t miss a beat. Always have a great time here, the acts were awesome tonight, will come any time we have chance.

The show was excellent. A very tight squeeze since it is such a small club. Highly recommend to call ahead and do reserved seating if possible.

Zanies is my all time favorite comedy club around. Drinks and food always good. Staff is usuallt always on point. Check in and seating is fast. Love this place.

A fun night of comedy. We were looking for mid-week date night option and were quite happy to have stumbled on Zanies. Main act was hysterical. Food is good bar food and the service was great.

Good show, many laughs... seating isnt the best set up, especially if youre in the back row on the top floor. The food looked good, the drinks were good

Unless you get reserved tickets you wont have a table. You are given chairs to sit in with very little room for the waitress to get through. With the two order item requirement, it was difficult keeping my order from falling to the floor. My drink did spill however. The club itself was great. The environment was great also.

The social distancing is a great change. DL is great.

This place was pretty fun! It was smaller than expected, but still pretty comfortable. the headline performer, Stavros Halkias was great! the bar could really improve their drinks, they had decent cocktails but all the drinks were super sugary, which is not my thing! bathrooms were surprisingly clean and i did not miss the show when i used the bathroom because the luve show is played in there.I already have tickets to go back!

Nice place! Kind of a tight fit, but what do you expect from an older establishment downtown. The staff was very friendly. Parking is near non-existent so park legally and walk it in. Parking is enforced around the joint. Enjoy yourselves!

My wife and I come here quite regularly. Considering how many people get crammed into this space the staff is amazing. Very intimate place to see a comic before they start selling out arenas and Ryman. Always catch the late show, park across the street on the hill beside subway and show up 30 minutes before doors open and you will be in good shape!!!! Enjoy

If I could give a worse rating for my experience tonight I would. The MANAGER needs to train her servers to take care of and check on their people. Maybe then, she would have run the credit card when she asked for it. Then they wouldnt have felt the need to chase me and friends down in the parking lot displaying the worst and argumentative attitude I have ever seen. We were happy to take care of the bill since the server obviously failed to do so, I guess. We did not care for nor appreciate the MANAGERS aggressive attitude. She called the security guard on us and he told me we were lucky they didnt call the cops and have us arrested. Let me say, we werent running. We were in no hurry. We honestly thought the bill had been handled. We were not offended that they came after us asking us for payment. Mistakes happen. It was the way she treated us. She acted like we were common criminals. We got upset and expressed our feelings about it, yes but not until she came at us like she did. She didnt know but she was dealing with two branch managers, a federal employees and one of the wealthiest ladies in Wilson County. We all had the means to pay. Ive been to Zanies many times. This was my second time seeing Cindy Kaza there and she was awesome but I will never spend another dime in that establishment. The MANAGEMENT needs a serious overhaul. Hire someone with people skills and teach the staff to care about the customers. Theyll make or break you. Perhaps give them the benefit of the doubt not call security on them AFTER you get their credit card for payment.

The club was fine,show was great. There is a two item purchase per person and gratuity was automatically included. I had a long island iced tea that was terrible, skip the mixed drinks and for for beer.

Awesome time at Zanies! Good burgers and fries, waiter was too notch, host was funny, the comedians had us laughing the whole time. Chris Porter was the headliner we went to see and he did not disappoint! Would definitely recommend this place if you like to laugh and eat good food!!

I love visiting Zanies. I remarked to my wife last time on how amazing it is that the servers take care of everyone in 30 or 40 minutes. Drinks and food, they are slinging it all so quick. Lots of credit goes to the kitchen as well, theyre cooking burgers and appetizers, doing theyre best to get orders out before the show starts. We always laugh and have a great time. I cant wait for our next visit.

Two of my sisters came to visit me and my fiance bought us all tickets to see the Arnez J comedy show. It was hilarious and the Zanies staff and atmosphere was great. Will visit again.

Very disappointed in this place. It’s supposed to be a comedy club and we were told to be quiet. Who gets kicked out of a comedy club for laughing? After 2 tickets and a 2 drink minimum I ended up spending 200$ to get kicked out 5 minutes before the show ended. The staff was horrible giving no explanation as to why we were asked to leave. I’d suggest spending my money elsewhere. We were laughing at a comedy show, did I say that already?

Great place for stand-up comedy! Most if not all shows are general admission so get there early if you want a good seat. Their menu includes typical appetizers, salads, and sandwiches and the food is good quality. There is a full bar. Patrons are required to purchase two items per person (a drink and entree, two drinks, etc). They ask that everyone place their cell phones in a locked pouch during the show in order to provide a cell phone free show. Your phone stays with you the entire time. They unlock the pouch as you are leaving. All in all this is a good time. If anything could be better I guess I would wish for more comfortable seating.

Chad Daniels was amazing, loved the show. Hes hilarious Ill be hurting tomorrow from laughing so hard. Zanies please do something about the seating, it sucks. You should not have to sit in a chair with no table in the aisle all in everyones way.

We had a great time. Get there early to pick your seat. Good bar food available. Wait staff is attentive. Dont go to the bar, only served by staff on the floor. Well be back for sure.

The menu is too pricey but other than that we always have a good time. If theyre going to force you to purchase two menu items though, they should lower the price a bit because the food is very basic.

Old Club with great history and brand new bathrooms. Awesome to see a place put money back into infrastructure. I like their no cell phone policy. :)

Lots of people complaining about the 2 item minimum and having to lock up your phone. The prices arent that bad and I think its a great idea to lock up phones during the performance if you want pictures take then before or after the show starts everyone paid to be there no one wants to be distracted by you on the phone. The drinks were strong and I enjoyed the smaller venue. I had so much fun and would return.

Seats are really tight I would like more room barely had room for food and drinks. Other than that its cool.

Amazing atmosphere, food and drinks. We felt we were entertained while also being catered to by our waiter, which was a unique and interesting experience. Highly recommend! Mac and cheese bites are amazing as well.

I watched a show there and had a great time. The seating was a bit cramped but its great that everyone can be so close to the comics. The food was better than I expected.

I love coming to zanies and I always get the VIP but they really need to do something about the seating. There is no way in the world that 4 grown normal size adults can sit comfortable at that table plus be able to eat and drink. If youve been there, you know what Im talking about. Maybe they will expand and upgrade the VIP section, because it shouldnt be like that for what you pay for.

Zanies is a little bit of a dive. The food is all breaded and deep-fried and it comes Frozen. The drinks are pre-mixed so theyre not very good. Basically you go there just for the comics.

I was home for TSU homecoming. I went to visit a friend that does comedy. The show was great because they were recording live so they were several comedians. The service and the food was horrible. The food (wings) were cold. It seemed like they didnt care about anything other than that they were recording that night. This is unusual because the service/food has never been this bad when Ive been there before. Disappointed because the servers had their job and the recording crew had their job so not sure what the problem was. Its not like they were doing double duty. Then the server had the nerve to automatically add gratuity to everyones checks even though each party at our table was only sets of 2 people. Its clear he knew he sucked and thought he wouldnt get anything. That clearly shows how bad his service was. But given that Im a very nice person and I always tip extremely well I still gave him more than the gratuity amount requested because I know servers dont make as much.
