Fun for all ages! So many laughs! I was laughing and smiling so much my eyes were watering! This was our 2nd family trip and the cast made it great and family friendly. This is becoming our family tradition after the Father and Son football game event.

My husband and I are huge improv fans. We just moved from Chicago and are extremely happy to have found a place in Nashville that gives Second City a run for their money. Each member of the cast is extremely talented. The show included impressions, music improv, you name it.The space is small, and I had a great seat. The stage is raised, so I’m assuming you could still see okay from the back, but I’m really not sure. The only things I wish are:1. They had more shows or at least a show every weekend.2. The place became BYOB.My husband and I will definitely be returning to Nashville Improv. We literally laughed until we cried, and that’s the point, right? I highly highly recommend anyone and everyone seeing a show there!

My wife and I attended The Purge on Oct 20th, 2018. I came with my fears. In the current political climate I figured the entire show would be orange man bad comedy. HOWEVER - I was SUPER surprised and relieved that political humor was off limits. I went from high-anxiety and planning my escape to relaxed when I found out they were going to avoid the topic. At the beginning of the show they did something that really surprised me. Ive never seen an improv group do this before... There was a child in the audience. He was probably somewhere around eight years old and sitting right in front of my wife and me. One of the MCs came up to him, introduced himself, and gave the little guy an intro to the show to warn him that the lights would be going out from time to time and that potentially scary things would happen on stage. Then in a large voice so everyone could hear the MC said AT NO TIME will [kids name] be in any danger, WHATSOEVER!. Shortly after that statement, the MC announced over the speakers that the show for the evening would be clean - no swearing allowed. During the show one performer slipped up and released a small swear - the lights went out immediately and she was eliminated from the stage before she could utter another word by a booming voice on the speakers that said NO SWEARING!!! There were a couple of times where sort-of racy jokes were made, but the performers worded the jokes as if it was an 80s TV sitcom - it went completely over the kids head. Awesome. I was so incredibly impressed by the respect they showed that little dude. It reflects really well upon the troupe.Comedy over the last, I dont know, 15 or so years has shifted from being sophisticated and witty to just slurs, insults, shock-humor and divisive jokes made at the expense of people who hold different opinions than the performer. This group showed me that there is still hope for the craft. It was really, really refreshing to encounter a troupe who were genuinely funny, quick witted, and respected their audience. They are perfectly capable of being funny without making jokes at someones expense. If I lived in Nashville Id be a regular for sure and would tell everyone I know to come.Bravo guys. Super high-class, respectful, witty and entertaining. Every one of you did an awesome job!

Ive gone to this place several times before and I always leave with my jaws hurting. I laugh so much during these improv shows and everyone should definitely go to this one. The people that do these improv shows have different experiences every show that include audience participation which isnt dragging you on stage, but asking the audience questions and then basing their whole show on the questions asked. So every show is different and HILARIOUS. Only $10 bucks a person which is completely worth every penny. If you go you will have a great time!
