Wow, what a hidden gem! Lots of tree coverage at this beach so you can be in the shade of youd prefer, but still enough sun! The lake was great and super cool how it connects to Lake of the Isles! Great place to paddle board, kayak or canoe!

If you ignore the fact that the Park Police are there, then it’s a great time! the people are great, it’s a very chill and calm atmosphere, and you can there’s a walking trail that can take you there via cedar lake trail :)

Mi

I just love this point beach....its perfect early in the morning when all the wildlife is out and the swimmers are practicing going between hidden beach and east beach. Its the first beach to get the summer in the morning too. The picture I posted is actually takes from the parkway and looking from the East side. I think it has the best swimming as the water is never really stagnant here. Perfect beach too for pulling up your kayak or canoe.

Super chill beach with nice lake swimming. A bit more edgy than some of the other city lake beaches but not in a bad or uncomfortable way at all. Obvious highlight here is the mud pit, which is one of those local bucket list items for good reason. Get in and get muddy and have fun.

Came out for a full moon kayaking trip with a Twin Cities paddle group Im part of on Facebook. Weather didnt cooperate but still had a great time paddling the chain of lakes. The area is a bit confusing to get out of since its a random assortment of neighborhood loops but the effort is well worth the chance to see one of the twin cities treasures.

I love the vibe of what was once hidden beach. I do however miss it being more hidden. It just made walking out of the woods onto a beach a special feel.

LOVE this beach! Its just beautiful here, easy to forget you are in the city which is almost impossible at Nokomis, Harriet, or Calhoun. The crowed is mostly young so it can get noisy when busy. Come early while the hipsters are still sleeping if you want a more peaceful experience. Also make sure to have footwear on, I notice broken glass often.

While the beach was a little small, I expect thats what youll get in lakes in Minnesota. The water appeared to be on the dirty side, but from what I hear its the best lake water for your pup to sip on. The sand felt a little more like dirt than sand, but I didnt feel dirty sitting on my towel. Coming from the ocean, Im sure Im biased - and I did enjoy myself - but its no ocean beach!

Wonderful day, fun, chill people from 1 to 81 all enjoying the beautiful day by the lake! Tends to be a bit of a younger, alternative beach with lots of children and parents. I go there several times a week in peek summer and have never seen any trouble. The neighborhood association helps fund a pair of officers there during most of the time the beach is open + 9 am - 10pm I believe. Porta potties and an old hand pump well are the fanciest amenities. But Cedar Lake is clean and spring-fed, and the sunsets are outstanding and intimate!

Waters are rough on a windy day. The terrain biking or running around the lake has a few small hills, largest climb about 70ft. This is a good paddle board and swimming lake and when possible I would like to go out on this lake when it is calmer. I have previously visited on a calm morning and the water surface was very still.

Beautiful lake! In my opinion it’s the cleanest and most clear of the chain of lakes. Always love coking here to walk on the ice, go swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding or just take a walk around the lake in the warmer months. There’s a nice floating raft at this beach during the summer months and this is usually one of the more crowded beaches on this lake in summer time.
