Not actually a dog park - More a quiet park with benches, enormous trees, and a dog station (trash bags/trash can). Its a good place to sit on a bench and read a book.

Its a great hike but gets really crowded at times. So crowded that it has valet parking. Lots of people bring their dogs which is nice if you love dogs, but a lot of them are off leash which can lead to bad incidences. Its probably a few miles long maybe will take you 30 minutes. The view from the top is very nice you get to see all of Hollywood and some of downtown. If youre a beginner hiker its a pretty good one

Fantastic located in the heart of a beautiful city. Lots to do at this park. Running, cycling, picnic, yoga, sightsee, you name it Weather can be a bit cooler so dress accordingly. Near the beach which is nice! Packa lunch and enjoy!

Hard not to love this park! Came here on a Sat morning- drove through the hustle of the city to find QUIET in the middle of the park. So peaceful! Had a quick sit down at a picnic table to finish my coffee and enjoyed the fresh air!

This is still one of the best hikes in the City of Angels. Steep inclines to challenge you, a paved road if you choose to run down, breathtaking views and as always a small break from the hustle and bustle of F.L.

By far the best dog park in the area. We even drive 20 minutes almost 4 times a week to take our dog. The grass makes a big difference and there are more dogs and more space for our pup to run around. I would recommend not going early in the morning if you have a longer haired pup as the dew on the grass tends to get our dog really muddy. Sometimes we risk it, but around 9am the dew burns off and she can roll around no problem.

Great place to go for a run. If you do it east to west you can end at the beach and there are plenty of sites and places to rest along the way.

Golden Gate Park has been a continual part of my life as a San Francisco Bay Area Resident since 1984. Each time is a new adventure over its 1000+ rectangular (and panhandle) space. I have walked, run (Bay-to-Breakers), biked, roller-bladed, and driven through various parts. My highlights have included:

Not one of my favorite. The location is nice, even if small its a shaded park that has a lot of potential. The only issues its you cannot walk in it. Its like a public bathroom for dogs. So sad to see dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. They made this park unusable by humans.

Such a peaceful and happy place. The absence of party grills, picnic tables and chairs makes this park special.

Quiet park. Huge trees provide a full canopy and plenty of shade. Not much in terms of amenities. Just a couple benches. No playground.

The park is pleasant to bring dogs for a walk, and has seating for the owners. There are doggie bags available. The park opens sunrise to sunset. The neighbors are watchful and sometimes unpleasant to park visitors
