This is my second outing to the Rubell museum. My first was at its previous location in Wynwood. This new location in Allapatha is a much better space, having all the collection on one floor. The collection is curated by themes or similarities (i.e. origin, location, etc). Plus they have an extensive library for research as well as a cafe (although I didnt get to visit as it wasnt open). Defitnetly a must visit location. The staff are also helpful and incredibly helpful (knowledgeable)!

It’s a bit out of the way in the middle of a residential neighborhood (but across from a food processing plant; I will never understand Miami zoning). But once inside, you know you’re inside of a top tier art museum with an emphasis on large-scale works. Unfortunately the infinity rooms were closed for some reason on the day of my visit.

The first time Ive attended artwalk was 2 years ago on a date. I gotta give the guy some points for choosing something different because I had a great time. I just remember browsing through tons of galleries, seeing interesting art, with wine in hand.

It was interesting (by reading the comments next to the art) to see how the artist was thinking. Helps you learn that there are multiple ways of thinking about an issue.

Brand new Museum opening in December 2019, within the Miami Art Week. Remarkable collection and great museum. Definitely worth the visit, stunning artworks. The Museum is all in one floor, reconverted from storage warehouse. Couldnt find audio guides so hope in the future they will add to the museum visit.

I’ve been to a lot of modern art museums in LA, NY, Chicago, Atlanta but none of them compare to this beautifully curated collection. We went during the weekday and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Well worth the price and value in what we were able to see. A hidden gem!

This museum is excellent, with fascinating collections to visit. Unlike the old two-story Wynwood building, this one, the new location is on one floor, which makes it fully accessible for people with different abilities, without stairs or elevators that prevent anyone from mobilizing. The main hall was designed like a tree trunk, with galleries that branch out and focus on varied subjects. It is a first-class contemporary art gallery. It is an amazing place, the Rubell family collection is one of the largest private art collections in the United States. Added to them acquisitions of many artists from America, Europe and South Africa. There is very good organization, and the staff is nice.

A beautiful Museum! Very easy to navigate with lots of information for many of the art pieces. Very clean and friendly staff, many places to sit and enjoy some of the larger art pieces. Inexpensive and can take several hours to walk through. I would definitely visit again. It is the best art museum that I have ever visited.

An interesting space and collection. Plus, an interesting redo of a old storage building. Be ready to be challenged and see interesting things, but that is what contemporary art is really about. There are two infinity rooms! Did not know that or expect it, both are amazing but the dark one was my favorite.

The space is brilliant, and the addition of a garden, cafe, and soon a restaurant makes the new Rubell a legitimate destination. It is worth the trip for the absolutely fabulous sleep portrait by Kehinde Wiley, Obamas portrait artist. The rest of the collection is unfathomable to me. How and it what world it is art completely eludes me.

Disturbing music, disrupting the sleep of the community building that is across the street, street parking is flooded. WRONG LOCATION TO HAVE THIS. Their opening was last night on Tuesday on NW 11th and 23 st and the music was extremely loud that it woke me up as well as other neighbors. This area has been a nice quiet neighborhood and here this comes to disrupt our peace in this community.

On my first visit to the Collection in late 2015, I attended the No Mans Land show which only had works of female artists. The galleries presented a varied collection, with artists of varied backgrounds represented by some of their iconic pieces.Ground-level galleries had high-ceiling areas for supersculptures and installations, and second-level paintings and and smaller sculptures occupy nicely paced galleries showered with natural lighting. This place is at the level of top contemporary galleries in NY and CA!
