Wonderful experience! Small, but filled with powerful pieces! Parking was an issue along with a couple exhibits being worked on otherwise i wouldve given a 5. They did charge less due to the exhibits closed.

Nice museum on the UM campus. Very diverse but compact collection, something for everyones taste. Not a must visit for quick trip tourists but every local should visit when they are in the area. Might visit again if I see something new rotating in.

As a student, this is a great addition to campus. The museum has a very nice Egyptian, modern and renaissance collections for its size.It also has a couple of Miros and they constantly bring new collections.

Thanks to the Miami Dade Public Library System we went for for free to this museum located inside the beautiful University of Miami. The Lowe Art Museum was a very nice experience for us, with impeccable floors, different exhibitions, a friendly staff, wonderful security system and team. I parked across the entrance but Im glad I asked because the lady told me that I can park for free on the museums parking lot at the left of the main entrance. They had an exhibition of a Cuban artist plus many more. It was beautiful to guess what type of materials the artist used and then my son checked my guess reading the description. My favorite part was the section of the Native American, where you can see how they survived, lived and worked.Adult entrance fee is $12.5 and if you check in with Yelp you get 50% off that fee. UM staff and students enter for free.My son went back today with a friend since we still had two more tickets and they both liked it.

Important pieces in their permanent exhibition. Ceramic show, beautifuly presented. Friendly front desk staff. Theres a mural in the gallery to the immediate left that, even though its not completely finished, its a jewel. It shows different stages of completion, so we can appreciate the secret of the artists process. A must-see for art majors and art enthusiasts.

A beautiful museum in the heart of the University of Miami campus. Its really conveniently located for me, and while I go at least a few times a year, I constantly say I need to go more often. The current glass exhibition (closing Jan 27) is spectacular along with the permanent glass collection in the Palley gallery. All the permanent and temporary collections are impressive, so its always worth a visit to the Lowe whatever might be on display.

I lowe this museum. I knew this beautiful place just 21 years ago and since then I have attended talks, lectures, exhibitions, and the wonderful though brief and lately little-publicized Beaux Art Festival (the second week of each January), mounted in the museum gardens and the UM...

The museum had some interesting pieces--- specially in the Baroque and Renaissance galleries. Yet, the whole experience was somewhat marred by a rather hostile security officer. The entrance fee is too high for a museum of this size and the limited breadth of the collections.

A small museum with an exceptionally broad collection. I was a bit shocked by the ticket price - the museums in my home town are all free admission - and then surprised by how small and disjointed the museum felt. Still, I don’t regret visiting, even on my very short vacation.

I used to come to the meetings for tribal arts. These people were so rude and disrespectful. The majority were white old people and they were looking at me up and down as how can I like this art.I hope the museum director can contact me or read my review, so he can make some improvements with the people in charge.Thank you

Dale Chihuly installation in the lobby juxtaposed with a large Frank Stella painting and a Deborah Butterfield horse set the tone for this jewel of a museum. We tend to like university museums and this one is a pleasure.

Came her for Ger-Mania and was not disappointed! They had beer, pretzels (all German themed of course) and other non alcoholic drinks. The museum has some very impressive works of art and a lot of variety. I found myself slowly wandering and losing track of time. The only bummer is that they have sections with wood flooring so they dont let you in with your drink. So were were chugging our beers so we could go see the artwork. All in all, this is a museum that is large enough to carry and display beautiful works of art but still small enough to not be overwhelming.

Small but immersive art museum with a variety exhibits, many of which are changed every so often so theres usually something new between visits. For more bang for your buck, visit during the Lowe After Hours (formerly LoweDown) nights - admission includes two drinks and small bites, and you get to enjoy the various exhibitions and galleries.
