Ive been taking advantage of this slightly cooler weather to visit the different beaches in Miami. NorthBeach is amongst one of my favorites to visit. Its a great way to get away from the traffic and party crowds that usually accompany Miami Beach.My favorite time to go is around 2:30-3pm. The suns still out and you can get a tan, but within an hour or 2 its already going down, and youve got this tremendous breezy, chilly weather thats quite enjoyable.Pros:1. Mon-Fri parking is easily attainable. I cant vouch for the weekends.2. Sand is pretty clean, and its a short walk from parking.3. The crowd tends to be more laid back, and its not noisy at all.4. Lifeguard towers galore to keep you safe.5. Around 3pmCons:1. Some days the water can get a little seaweedy.2. A lot of the areas dont have a dedicated shower/bathroom area. So prepare to use the ocean as your toilet.3. Not too many restaurants/bars within walking distance so youll have to opt to find parking again.

Used to live nearby...now I drive to get time there...love it so much!

I personally loved it. Parking was easy and theres a paved walk to the sand. It was a bit crowded but people were respectful and maintained 6 feet distances.

Nice, clean, ample parking. Dog park and lifeguard on the beach part. Bathrooms availble.

A nice way to enjoy some nice fresh air. You have a nice pathway to the beach and have a nice spray to get the sand off of you. Just look for it and just push on a nob and water should come out. If you are not out for some sand or beach in general then just enjoy some shade with some provided benches. :D Have fun!!

I guess being a tourist most people would flock here thinking its the best place to enjoy the Golden Gate Bridge! But that is quite the opposite, while this place is nice, there are other spots you can enjoy the bridge with just as equally if not better views.

Its a nice place for a picnic! There are spots if tables and trees for shade. Theres also a restroom nearby, and access to the beach.

The park has great features such as a mini dogs park within the park, seatings available, restrooms, plenty of space to play on, showers for after beach wash, and it even has exercising equipment throughout the park.

U can take your pet with you to the beach is beautiful you going to have a wonderful day with your pet

Short walk to the ocean and it was quiet and beautiful.

Not the worst weve seen, but not as beautiful as it was described. The shore was completely covered with seaweed, the waves were mild, nice breeze, pelicans and seagulls definitely own this place!

We drove by and stopped on our way back from Key West...people were having a good time...music going...picnics..kids playing ..plentiful parking across the street..it was a fun day at the beach to take a break from driving and take in all the summer beach fun. Bathrooms were clean and the area had plenty of shade and picnic tables.

I been coming here since I was little, this park for me means family reunions, birthday party, barbecue and of course beach time. I love it and now and passing all that tradition to my kids.

Its a quiet place to catch some rays and relax. Too many dogs on this gorgeous beach though.

What can I say about this WONDERFUL Pal. If this park is lost to development.. then the last bit of our soul here and the air we breathe..May add well be taken with it...A Beautiful Amazing Park on about 10 Blocks of straight Beach as well..all open space from the surf to Collins Street. Cant beat this GEM.

Me and my wife visited Miami on holiday in November 2018we loved having time on the Beach looking at the beautiful viewyou really need to have your camera with you.the open space under a really blue sky and warm sunshine we both could not believe we were herewish we would have had more time but it was not long till our holiday was over and we were coming back home to England

During the week this place is the best, hardly any people here at all.

Very nice and clean park. Lot of BBQ spaces and cabanas. Clean restroom. The beach is amazing. Fine sands, Baywatchs towers transparent water and really few people around.

Great! Bike paths. Not crowded

Nice picnic area, clean, lots of shadow. Lots of parking area nearby. Clean beach.

I enjoy my time near to the water. The sound of the waves and the blue of the ocean relax me a lot.

I ride my bike through the heart of this park on a daily basis. A welcoming oasis in the middle of a bustling area consisting mainly of hotels, apartment buildings and shops, and best of all is that’s is next to the beach. You can have picnics, bbq, nap in the grass, ride bike, play with your kids in the swing/slide area, and there’s even a dog park for Rover. I deducted a star because it is in need of more modern facilities and landscape.

Nice beach very clean water clean not crowded.

We had an enjoyable experience hosting a picnic/bbq here at one of the many open air pavilions just off the beach. Lots of space to accomodate any size family or group of friends for an outing. Restrooms are located throughout the park, but could use some extra attention for cleanliness. However as busy as this park gets it’s understandable. The rest of the park is kept remarkably clean and has great walking paths for jogging or just taking a casual stroll. Also, there are some calisthenic based workout equipment such as pull-up bars throughout the park just off the walking paths. Lots of picnic tables and bbq pits available. Parking is pretty good for the area.

This is a huge fenced in area of grass and trees along the beach. Loads of shady tree areas and BBQs and picnic tables. Multiple access points to the beach. A nice covered shady playground area. Fenced in dog park so little dog poo (which is more than can be said for other parks in the area!!). Lost a star as there seemed to be a few ?homeless people sleeping on the picnic benches when we visited (probably trying to get out the scorching sun, poor people!) and some suspicious activities going on between ladies hanging around on some benches and being chatted to by men...? A rare proper park in the area with so much grass and picnic area, slightly let down by the dodgy people but still definitely recommend.

THE BEST PRIVATE BEACH EVER! not too crowded and the park combined with the beach is amazing. All of this right in my neighborhood.

North Miami Beach neighbourhood is a sweet spot in Miami Beach. Locally owned restaurants and all. This park is spectacular for locals to walk, bbq or enjoy the dog park. They have bathrooms as well and is direct ocean front.

Lovely place specially in the afternoon at sunset

Its actually my happy place. I love it but I wish they would do something about the homeless guys they stay on the same bench everyday. That makes the bench useless to everybody. Its not fair. If they have to live in the park they should move around. They take up that one spot and thats it we cant use it

North Shore Park is my to-go beach spot. Not far from where I live, N. Bay Village, its not crowded (well, I usually do weekdays beach time anyway) and you have the option to go chill on the shade if the sun becomes merciless. There are bathrooms and showers, tables, a dog park and easy paid or free parking.

Nice spot right next to the Beach with plenty of shade, seating areas, playgrounds, BBQs and even two special areas for dogs (one for large dogs and one for small)The park is well maintained and there seems to be plenty of staff driving around - so feels really safe too.The toilets were clean and also seemed to be looked after.Was a great place to walk around on a hot day - but I can see it as a great location for a family picnic, BBQ or get together.

The park was slightly littered with trash, and there was some homeless people here and there. But the trees were really nice, a great place to have a BBQ. The beach sand had many twigs and shells that made it difficult to enjoy walking on... but the water was really nice crystal clear blues.

I always have a good time here, everything is convenient on this park to enjoy the beautiful water!

Green clean you have plenty space to sit and barbecue

Great location to have BBQs and safe for children. Park is always full of locals living near by that are kind and fun. Good for day visit and outdoors with friends.

Really great park! It is a wonderful place to take your pets, ride your bike, have a bbq and even take a stroll on the beach.

My doggo is thankful for North Shore Open Space Parks Bark beach. There are very few oceanside parks where dogs are allowed. This happens to be the best one.

Sweet place to explore walking or with a short bike ride. dog parks are awesome but peple are careless and litter if you come to the park, please do you part to keep it clean. everything that ends up on the ground makes its way to the ocean.

Great time day or night. They close the gate to the park at 8pm but that doesnt seem to be a problem. Super friendly local vibe, away from the resort bros, but close enough to the action. Plenty of insta-chics around to gaze at. Mad cats and racoons living in harmony.Plenty of grills for grillin, water fountains, restrooms, and a credit card swiper on a water bottle filler.Easy paid parking across the street, or risk it and park a little farther away in the neighborhood. My car was there when I returned.

There is a lot of seaweeds close to shore. You just have to get past it.

PEACEFUL AS VERY FEW PLACES IN MIAMI.

From my sons first birthday to the times when I was playing here as a kid this will always be in my memories as one of the greatest Parks right next to the one of the most beautiful and exquisite beaches, America and probably the whole world has to offer. I highly recommend everybody come to Miami Beach and enjoy nature, Sun, endless fun, and of course a little bit of a partying!

I didnt go to the SUPERBOWL when I was here last year but I did enjoy the beach and the personal time I got to spend with Miami thats fa sure I spent time taking in the views of the North Shore and taking in the perfect weather️

Love this place (during week too busy on wknd) and so does my 4legged little girl. The only thing I wish is that there was signage as to time and location of the beach area for dogs. I know its near this park round 79th to 81st street but no info posted anywhere.

Its a good place

You get here a natural umbrella made of living things to protect you from sun till you complete your meal or after cleaning dust from your feet and gives you freedom to go out on shore when your heart please.

Had a great time with the kids, so much privacy and epic beach days are a guarantee!

Today the security guard locked the gate right in front of our faces (me and the kids) saying to use another entry that is open, when we were 20 feet away. And there was another lady with the dog next to us. We understand that the park closes at a certain hours, but this is not the way to treat people.

Beautiful natural park space with barbeques, washrooms, beach access, dog park for small and large dogs, outdoor fitness equipment, and more. Lots of wildlife, and plants.

Perfect for family days and get together. kids can bring their bicycle, ball or outdoor toys.

Beautiful and well cared place. This park has everything you need to spend a good time. And FREE!. There are 2 dog parks ( for small and big dogs) with water and garbage bag supply all over the park. The restrooms are cleaned very often, as well as the trash containers. The people patrolling the park will provide to you with trash bags if you need. There are stations that provide sun protector and a new station to fill your bottle with filtered and cold water. Playground for kids, work out areas, grills , uncovered and covered areas with tables and benches. And the best part is you are a few steps from the beach.

Nice park, volleyball courts, basketball courts and basketball program for kids, crossfit program for adults (amazing), playground, tennis courts, skate park, and running track.

This place is amazing. The beaches here are superb! Its quiet and peaceful. This is where all the locals hang out to go to the beach. Theres lots of space to spread out and a great park nearby you can go to get away from the sun and do a little grilling, ride your bike or take a nice stroll. Its conveniently located off of Collins and theres street parking everywhere. The views of Aventura to the north are great too!

What a lovely clean beach far enough away that its not crowded, yet close enough that its easy to get to. Seriously a great spot. Water is clear, sand is warm, sun is bright, totally all good.

This was our first stop at this particular park. We never realized how expansive the beach front property was here. The many families and individuals were enjoying their activities, as we did. The beach was wonderfully inviting and the many that were in attendance appeared to be enjoying their time communing with nature.

Nice park, picnic tables and public restroom. The place cld be cleaner at least when I was there. Right on the beach.. Nice!

Very Peaceful Nice Place To Getaway From the crowds in South Beach!

It was really nice to hang out here. Its sometimes hard to find a bench if you come too late, so the best thing to do is to be there early. There is $1 an hour parking, which is not bad at all, and the beach and overall experience is just amazing.

Great beach. We were at Collins and 85th. We enjoyed the loneliness around evening. Great views.

Great park for everything from family bbqs, beach time, bicycling, working out..even has a dog park!! Free and always cleaning crew to maintain cleanliness of park as best as possible throughout the day. Grew up going to this park...used to have a sea turtle hatchery. Its always been a go to place for us Miami Beach residents along with nonresidents who want to visit the beach and have a place off the sand out of the direct sun to cool off at. This park gets 10 stars for me..but maybe Im just biased

Great beach, very clean

Beautiful Beach and water. However, there were tons of jelly fish stinging people in the water.

There is a dogi park that is clean and maintained, I love to bring my puppy here for walks :)

I love the park, the beach, the BBQs, the bike trail, dog parks, showers and bathrooms (although they lock them up at sundown), it has nice pavilions to throw parties, and picnic tables, a kids play ground, workout equipment along a jogging path, ample parking, and it is the most family friendly beach in Dade county! We love this beach and area! There is also a free trolley might be electric or fuel efficient because it is slow to give you a tour of the North Shore area of Miami Beach! The 24 hour public L bus goes directly to this area for a small fee. Easy to get there, easy to park, also has citibank bicycle rentals every few blocks! Its awesome we love it!

Full moon drum circles each and every full moon are the best!!! free and till late night. a locals secret.. shhh. day time family friendly environment too.

Fun and yet so peaceful place! Dog park, and workout stations. Stretches from 79th till 86th Street with multiple beach access points.

Beautiful Park. Tropical plants, dunes, nice water. Sometomes you can see squirrels, ibis and egrets.....

It was a great change from my usual beach. Parking was close by, there was access to tables and benches similar to Crandon Park, one thing i would suggest is having the showers for rinsing close to the bathrroms or at least closer than the entrance. Overall love it!
