A favorite spot to see a show.I have been down to the Gleason about a dozen times, and its been great every time. From comedy shows, to pen events to some great rock bands, its never disappointed. The other day I was down for the Pink Floyd show. Oops, I mean Brit Floyd, probably a better show even at this point.getting in was fairly smooth, with metal detectors not slowing down the masses much. once inside, the same nice atrium was there to greet. We got in the concession lines, of which there is always enough of to keep lines down.We grabbed our seats after mingling about in the lobby for a bit, waiting for the show to start. Our seats were about the 20th row, but it truly felt like we were right n top of the stage. It was a sit down in chairs type show, but I have been to other rock shows that standing room, and its well laid out for that as well. Its a bit of a drive to make it to South beach for a concert, but when its a good show, its well worth it.
This place was a scam.Paid $330 to see Molotov on 3rd row. The “pit area” is super small—airlines have more room than that jam packed space. You’re better off sitting behind the “pit area” while still having good views.Equally frustrating, maybe more, the concert was advertised to start at 7p. Once you step into the Filmore—rude employees wouldn’t let anyone out because of a “no re-entry policy”. The doors for the arena did not open until a bit north of 8p and the band wasn’t scheduled to perform until 9p. Well, this unethical policy forced people to buy from the Filmore menu. Prices were ridiculously high—$10 for domestic beer 16oz cans and $15 for a 20oz draft beer. This no re-entry policy was not even mentioned on the terms and conditions and very small signs were on some doors. No one was informing customers about this policy only until you were in. This is straight unethical and straight dirty business.Ushers were pretty nasty talking to you as if you’re in trouble or don’t belong there.Key note: unless you don’t mind dropping serious money on cheap overpriced beer, then wait until the concert almost starts and go to Lincoln Mall road and enjoy yourself there. The Filmore pre-venue area is not great at all. Just an open area with loud music, rude staff and overpriced beverages. The concert itself was fun! ...could’ve been better if the most expensive ticket seats didn’t have you packed in like sardines.
Place is very nice. Do yourself a favor and do not Valet your vehicle. Show ended 60 minutes ago and I am still standing here. Park down the road and walk there after. Last time ever I will be attending this place.Follow up to management if you know that there are 500 people prepaying for Valet at least have the courtesy to hire additional valet workers to work. They suffer because the people attending are mad at waiting, simple management decision.
Best things about this place? A DJ playing once the concert finishes... Brilliant
Great venue to see a concertDid the VIP with the private lounge, valet parking, entrance and wait staff. Seats had an unobstructed view of the stage. If youre going to see someone popular and want a great experience, Id see them at the Gleason with VIP.
If you want to have a subdued concert experience and be bummed because the security guard is threatening to kick you out for dancing then this is your place! Will never come here again. I bet the band was bummed nobody was getting into the music but little do they know having fun at the Fillmore is strictly prohibited. Any gyrating or fun being had will result in your prompt removal.

Attended Bill Mahr concert at the Filmore last night. Beautiful facility, excellent site-lines, friendly staff, clean restrooms, plenty parking in close proximity to theater. By the way, Bill Mahr was excellent.
Nice venue. The room was rather warm during the show. I had valet parking and it was a hassle. It was even more of a hassle to get your car after. Need to organize it a bit better. Food expensive. Show was very good.
An intimate place to see a show. I saw Bob Weir and the sound was crazy good!
I was there for the taping of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. The Filmore was a great venue. They dont have a bad seat in the house.
Kpop rave was fun for my daughter
Parking was too expensive. The lady helping us find our chair was wonderful.
The theater space is good
I bought two tickets for almost $500. And we set on small plastic chairs. All chairs were on same level and in front of me set two hight guys, so i saw only their heads. I even didn’t see who was on stage.
Slayer...still closed too bad next year... I hope ️
