If i could give more stars i would. There were a few inconveniences such as the construction going on (new roof),hot water runs out fast, toilet and range needs maintenance (they rocked and were not level). We enjoyed having the option to cook our own meals and not eat out with covid concerns. My husband likes to go to bed early so it was nice to have separate bedroom and 2 tvs so if we wanted to watch TV separate we could. The unit also had a washer in dryer (apartment size) that we used a lot and kept us from bringing home a ton of dirty laundry. It was easy to get in and out and easy access to shopping. Chelsea at the front desk was awesome and very accommodating at checking in. She helped us get upgraded to 1 bedroom unit from a studio suite. We will definitely be back to this wonderful place and staying with westgate on other trips as we have joined the travel club from our home state and this was our first time trying it out and to say the least westgate painted mountain set the bar very high for other westgate resorts.

We absolutely love this place. They went above and beyond our expectations and the amenities were more than we could have hoped for. All the care and attention they showed us for a very good price. They also had the best pillows I have ever slept on. We visit Mesa to see family often this has now become our home away from home.

2nd time there. Nice rooms, good amenities and a really good location. Only knocking down because the floors were no other cleaned well and our kitchen supplies had not been completely restocked. Covid restrictions did make it a little less appealing, but that was not their fault. All in all it was pleasant, a good value and I recommend it...after all, we went there a second time, right?

It was great. The two room suite was very big and comfortable for our family of 5. The kids loved all the activities that they offered. For me it was nice to have the golf course a few hundred yards away and other to choose from within minuets.

No maid service during covid WHICH we were not told about during check-in. Had to call for fresh towels, no garbage pickup, jacuzzi tub leaks all over the bathroom floor. Verydisappointed in customer service. We have a pile of used towels and full garbage pail. I guess we will just set them outside. We are attending a golf school and this is the lodging included. We will be letting them know about out disappointment

I like this golf course. It is almost always in good shape and the staff I are always friendly. The price is very reasonable compared to other courses in the area.. It would be better if it had a driving range to help warm up before the round.

This place was not as nice as advertised. Really gross room. There was either fresh ketchup or blood on the curtain, the bathtub panal was falling off, the shower pressure was horrible, cob webs in the corners. I felt like i was staying at a run down motel 6. The balcony as advertised was the front patio entrance way from the parking lot. The hotels.com page implies thats its a true balcony on a villa this was not the case. When i brought these things to the front desk they simply had me tell house keeping. No discount or refund was offered. They said i could check out and take it up with hotels.com

Well it was ok....only because we made the best out of very misleading information. We were told the pool was opened when in fact you had to make reservations. Not a big deal except they told us the pool was in fact closed and that we couldnt swim. We live around the corner and we were looking for a night away and they could have fully disclosed but didnt. They wouldnt even except our request to cancel! So that was really disappointing ... then on top of that the floors in our room were filthy! My feet were black just from crossing the room. Just gross...So we made the best out of a lousy situation and enjoyed ourselves regardlesswe chose a place around the corner from home

I feel like this course is a little bit of a hidden gem. The summer prices are outstanding and they keep the course looking pretty decent. The layout is a little on the easy side with wide fairways and only a few forced carries. The one knock against the place is they dont do as much as I would like to push slow groups into position. This isnt a huge problem in summer, and in fairness, this is true of a lot of resort courses that are hesitant to irritate guests. The other downside is that they dont have a driving range (the old driving range is now a parking lot for the restaurant), but they do have a short game practice area.

Unit was dirty and even after complaining, they did a poor job of cleaning. The new management team has run the place into the ground. Wont ever stay here again. We stay here a few years ago and everything was fine then.

Just like all the Westgate Resort timeshare are beautiful places to go theyre all different but anytime you get a chance to stay at a Westgate Resort do so very big nice rooms big bathrooms Koozie tub some have restaurants some down this one had a restaurant next door but it was closed because of the virus but I think it open the patio the day we left

Found a random pill in corner of mirror in bathroom. Black hairs on the floor in bathroom too. Two AC units outside the wall directly behind the headboard. ALL NIGHT could Loudly hear motors clicking on and off. Bed was stiff and uncomfortable. NO 4 STAR here!!

The resort had big rooms and full amenities. The pool was nice and heated. We had washer and dryer as well. It was very comfortable and we had plenty of room. The only issue was it could have been cleaner. The floor was dirty and the staff must not have cleaned under beds and couches, and between counters and stove, so there was some residual dust and dirt and food crumbs so we had to do some self cleaning to feel comfortable.

Positive: The corner jetted whirlpool tub. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and friendly Negative: No free Wi-Fi

Amazing! The room as a whole were incredible. Multiple rooms and a very spacious common area and kitchen. They have a lot of extras including a beautiful pool area, playground for kids, basketball and volleyball courts, and plenty of areas to grill out and chill. I will definitely come back and stay here again and recommend it for families and adult trips.

Positive: Close location and the bathroom Negative: You can only signup for activities like swimming day of. The activities office is only open 12noon to 8pm and will only process day of requests. If you want to swim at 12noon you between be standing outside in the heat waiting for the office to open.

Nice place & very friendly staff. They do need to do some updates & repairs around the property. When we 1st arrived there were some old mattresses by the pool area, not very scenic. Now theres a big dumpster with the mattresses inside but still trashy looking. Decent place though, at least the rooms are clean & staff is very accommodating.

Course played great, easy to get up and down, pace was terribly slow, but it was a Sunday afternoon, course seemed a little over booked.Staff was friendly, course was in great shape.

Not really a hotel since its no different then where i live in Denver at the Breakers Resort! My place is actually better since we have a guard shack entry gate and a huge clubhouse with a restaurant, indoor gym, pool tables, theatre room and a huge lake for sail boards & sail boats!

Not a good experience this time, so much lack of communication among staff. We had to move several times before a room was to our satisfaction and then I would rate 6/10. Staff told us they had no housekeeping on staff, ok but you knew we were coming since a month ago. NO EXCUSE! They treat locals great, but resort owners .... yeah no! Travel elsewhere. Stay safe.

In room phone & jet tub were broken. Large comfortable room. Property was very nice. Traveled with wheelchair bound patient. Room was away from ramps so made it a bit difficult to navigate as patio chairs & tables were in pathways. Could use cement patio around pond instead of gravel for handicapped persons. Pool was also not accessible for wheelchair. Had steps to access. Will stay here again for location. Hopefully we get a room thats not broken.

Nice course, but not amazing. Its kinda short and it didnt seem overly busy when we played there, but even still the pace was a little slow.

Stayed here 7 days. Grounds are well kept. There were pool noodles and floats that other guests didnt mind sharing with kids. I would suggest 2nd floor unit..less likely for desert bugs to crawl in. enjoyed the out door patio set. Outdoor grill space is very nice also. Had a bday party and there was enough room for social distance. 5 stars for that. The 3 stars..i guess do to COVID the daily housekeeping service no longer happens.. I actually preferred it. What I did not know was a tote is set outside the unit door on Day 2. It has extra towels linens and supplies for kitchen. I didnt take the materials out quick enough and the tote was taken away. Day 3 I went to front desk to ask for the tote again. Tote never showed up. I was told to put old towels outside door and someone would get them..that never happened either. I called housekeeping left and message..still no tote. I sent a text message (a very cool feature) to front desk. Hours later the response was sorry housekeeping has gone for the day, come to the front desk. Day 4 I ended up taking a tote outside the unit below mine to get what I needed. That tote and towels were still outside my unit on the day I checked out.

Upscale resort that resembles more of a luxury apt community! The ammenities are great with swimming, basketball, tennis, etc with golf course right next door!

Stayed 4 nights, no maid service but was not informed at check in. Had to ask for more towels. Only one packet of coffee in the roomRoom was clean and rates werent bad. Bed was comfortable. Grounds are clean. Pool and hot tub nice.

Beautiful resort with spacious rooms at a very reasonable rate! Its not a hotel as some might expect but more of a large apartment community with 4-8 individual units per building! Fabulous amenities with everything from the beautiful swimming pools to basketball and tennis! The golf course isnt part of the exact same community but its literally right next door and looks like a very nice course! I would give the entire vacation i spent there a 9 out of 10! Special thanks to David at the front desk who was very accomodating and helpful with my 3am arrival due to a previously cancelled flight!

We liked the location and the amenities of this property. The grounds were immaculate and the staff very friendly. Our room could have been cleaner upon arrival. The floors could have used a better sweep. The floors and bathroom were not cleaned during our 5 day stay. The only time the garbage was emptied was when I put the bins in the middle of the room. We did not like having an adjoining door to the room beside us as we could hear the people beside us as plain as day.

Great location in east Mesa. Easy to Rte 202 and 60 and hiking to the east and north. Lovely hot tubs and pool. Roomy one bedroom suites and single rooms (optional adjoining).

This was a mistake as soon as I checked in. I wanted to cancel the reservation right away but ended up staying to avoid the run around for cancellation (they were giving me a 1-800 number to call). Just poor communication, lack of transparency and horrible customer service. I understand times are different because of Covid-19 pandemic but you cant deliver poor service and still charge top dollars.

Nothing too special about the studio rooms. Cable/ wifi was great. Costomer service spectacular. They made sure we were happy.

The grounds were scenic. Liked the Jacuzzi. Check in time was very late, if you were to have an evening engagement, no time to settle and then get there. Floors (so I wonder about the rest of the room) were filthy. After shower, had to brush the bottoms off my feet before putting on socks. Im a bare footer, so I really noticed that. Had to go to the main office to get ice, and you had to wait for them to get it for you. Just not very impressed.

We booked last min but we are so happy we found this place. Very relaxing has everything you could want.

No free WiFi. Not enough outside seating for family. No ash trays buts thrown on ground. Furniture starting to look tried. But for other hotels or motels we have stay at far beyond are rating. No mole on walls like the motel 6 on Bell stay away. On and off Wi-Fi Westland village road 6 again. Circus Circus its a long list. Plus others.

I love all the employees here! They are so friendly, yet also professional. I love this place mostly for the karaoke but the food is really good, too. Great salad bar.Always a nice, polite crowd -- friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend this place any day of the week. Especially during karaoke nights.

We were so excited to stay here & once we got here we were definitely disappointed. It says “resort” but it’s so far from it. Although the young lady at the front desk was sweet as could be at check in, the security guard treated us as if we didn’t belong there.Our bathtub was falling apart, there was NO hot water and when we called about it the person who answered the phone was super rude and seemed as if we were inconveniencing her by our call. We had a family of what seemed like 20 in the room next to us who were up all night slamming cabinets and yelling and then continued early morning. We mentioned it to the front when we called about hot water and they didn’t seem to care. It seems the staff here only pay attention to the ones who are spending loads of money or look as if they could afford to.The jets in the tub were cool tho that’s the only part that didn’t completely disappoint. Despite the fact there was no warm water to even enjoy it .Wish I could get my money back this was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Fantastic 5 star hotel that sits right on the Painted Mountain Golf Course. I recommend to anyone visiting Mesa AZ.

They didnt remake the room! No bed made no fresh towels no resupply soap. Then when told staff at desk during check out instead of saying sorry they said it WAS done. Poor on there part. They refunded us 10 bucks. Big whoop.

Spend the weekend here with my family and it was really great. The room was spacious and well set up. The kitchen had everything we needed from a refrigerator, stove, toaster and even plates and utensils. The beds are comfortable and pillows are cozy. The pool is inviting, clean and well kept. Theres plenty to do from all the games they have set up from ping pong, bkb, etc. My kids had a blast!!! And well be back for sure.If you find this review helpful, click the like button

Typical flat layout, nothing too interesting. A little chaotic at check in.

We rented a two bedroom unit. Very clean. Rooms are good size. Staff is happy and helpful. No complaints.

The food was fantastic so was the entertainment. They also have a really nice outdoor patio extension to the restaurant. The prices were reasonable for the quality but the service left alot to be desired. Will definitely be marking it as a regular there.

Did not like having to pay for WiFi...on a 2 night stay we did not use the pool facilities the first day only to find out we could not schedule pool time on the 2nd day because of maintenance. Should have been told of this maintenance schedule when we checked in.

It was dirty, filled with bugs, and out dated. Honestly if I had the option to spend a week anywhere else I would have. Do not waste your time.

Great place to eat, we went for their breakfast. Very good and priced reasonable, we will be back to try lunch and dinner. Atmosphere and service were great. Sat on the patio over looking the golf course, nice view.

Worst experience ever. Check in time was 4 pm. Got there at 2:42 and was told room not ready but available soon. Had a wedding to attend at 5 pm. Left after 4 pm and was told by Dawn the manager at front desk that I would receive a text. Never got one. Called at 6:02 pm at wedding and said room was available and the forgot to text. Yeah right. Another person at wedding who paid full price got a room immediately. Others who got a group discount were not able to check in at 4 pm and had to get dressed there which was unfortunate. Seems management gave preference to those who paid full price. We booked a lot of rooms for the wedding and all was not happy. Management said they had a full house the night before. Check out is 10 am and check in at.4 pm. So they are telling me that in 6 hours they could not get rooms ready. I find that hard to believe. Poor management and preferential treatment. If they know a customer was waiting should they not have been a priority? I will email or send letter to file a complaint to the corporate office. Also the sheets were not clean and furniture was damaged. I could have cleaned the room myself in 10 minutes. We were not even allowed to leave our stuff in the room and they could not even tell me what room we were in. Dawn the manager at the front desk also had a salty attitude. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Others at the wedding also had complaints.

Feel like beds were to hard.

We were golfing at a decent pace and were asked to move to hole 1 to restart course.. Which I didnt want to do. I didnt get to finish my 18 holes.. instead I had to replay the front 9 for being too slow. NEVER have I ever been asked to not finish an 18 hole course. Ridiculous and the player were rude. Probably will not be golfing there again.

We were moved rooms 2 times as both times we encountered bugs and hair throughout the rooms. the front desk was pleasant and friendly.

Great day for golf! Friendly greeting as always from starters. Golf Professional James was welcoming as always. Beverage cart gal was by to check on our needs. Golf course was in great shape considering all the rain. Steak dinner after golfing was spot on with great friendly service!

Decent tract, not worth the assessed fees though. Much nicer courses in the East Valley for in the high 20s to mid 30s price range.Gas carts, noisy as all get out.Not sure I could recommend or come back to play again. Pro Shop guys, start dude and club cleaning kid were all awesome. They are worth a star by themselves. Weather was the only saving grace for this round.

Negative: Deferred maintenance. Shower leaked very badly onto bath floor. NO Wi-Fi unless you payed the $7.99 daily fee. Unheard of on this day and age

Very good staff who bend over backwards for you. I suggest you ask for an upstairs room as there seems to be no soundproofing between floors. Rooms are spacious and furnishings are acceptable. Beds are excellent.

Customer service was excellent but the room was filthy. I dont think they cleaned it. Floor was dirty, comfortor was stained, sheets had dirt on them and the bathroom ceiling was leaking! They resolved the issues quickly but the whole complex is old and dated. Looks new from on the outside but nasty inside.

This is a great course! They have an awesome mens league.

We stayed here with our two daughters for two nights while we were visiting friends in Mesa. We really appreciated the large kitchen and table, so we could cook our own breakfast and lunches. The kitchen was very well-stocked with enough dishes and utensils for our family of four. The location was perfect, and while it was a little too chilly for us to go swimming, the pool was beautiful and we liked that they had a brand new outdoor grill for cooking outside. We also liked that our unit had a washer and dryer as well as laundry detergent provided!..it really came in handy. We for sure will come to the Westgate again, and we have recommended it to our friends.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. The room was very dirty with food in the walls, hair on the ground and walls, and a dirty bathroom sink area. The bed had a large lump in it which made sleep for the two night we were there uncomfortable. If we had paid $60 or $70 per night I would probably give 3 stars but we paid $130 per night because they advertised as a 3 star hotel. For how expensive it was youd think they would offer free basic amenities but everything from breakfast to the wifi cost. Save your money and pay the same to go to a Marriott or other chain hotel. The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the staff was very nice and polite.

The pictures are extremely deceiving. When booking it showed that our villa would have a full kitchen so we brought our own food to cook for the week. When we arrived it was just a regular room with a mini fridge and microwave. Luckily the front desk provided us a room with a full kitchen at no extra charge, however the room was filthy. The floors looked like they hadn’t been washed for sometime and the couch was covered in GRIME. I took a wet wash cloth to it lightly and it took off an entire layer of brown residue. The coffee table hadn’t been wiped down either as there was some dried liquid crusted to the sides. The front desk lady that we met the first night was wonderful as were the cleaning ladies. The other woman who works the front desk, I believe her name was Autumn, was very cold and not friendly at all. Considering this place is suppose to be a resort and the fact that it isn’t cheap, we were very very disappointed with our stay. If you’re considering staying here for any amount of time, look elsewhere.

I love the pool and patio area here. The pool is nice and clean. Theres a basketball hoop, volleyball net, and an assortment of pool toys, spaghetti tubes, and balls.The patio area has a couple outside shuffleboards and very well maintained, if not new, bbqs.The patio and pool furniture is very nice too. No holes or even sign of wear.I love the complimentary towels too. Nice touch.

The property was well groomed, the room clean and pleasant. They painted the counter tops instead of replacing them which I thought was weird. No free wifi and I like later checkouts, this one was at ten.

Location was nice and the beds were extremely comfortable but after a 7 day stay, our room was only cleaned twice. I sent a couple of messages asking if the beds were supposed to be made and the rooms tidied and they confirmed it was every day. To their defense, one of the days they came to clean it was at 6pm and we were preparing for a night out.I mentioned it again at check out and it kind of went overlooked. It was a nice stay, dont get me wrong - but spending $233 US a night, we expected a lot more. Also - no free wifi.

Horrible experience, shady guests. Not the safest experience either. Dont fall for the pictures online, looks completely different in person. We saw multiple different people partaking in illegal activities on the property. We checked out right away (within 7 minutes) and they still charged us and didnt give us a refund. We cancelled our whole stay. Receptionist was nice and helpful as she could be, but the experience was very disappointing.

Although the smallest of Westgates collection of outstanding resorts, Painted Mountain offers many amenities and highly personalized services. Its central Arizona location provides an excellent starting point for a number of entertaining and educational day trips. The large rooms come complete with a full kitchen and dining area. The manicured grounds are quite beautiful.

We go often for breakfast. Always get a table by a window overlooking the putting green and the last hole on the golf course. Beautiful setting. Excellent service and very tasty food!!!

My kids found a crack pipe in one of the beds. Horrible situation

Not great at all. It would have taken us 5 plus hours to play 18 holes. We quit after the 10th hole and that took us 31/2 hours. Not going back there.

Nice views of the course and friendly staff. Had Sunday brunch 15.99, good selection and food. Would have given 5 stars however scrambled eggs were really runny.

Roof leaked in first unit. We were transferred into a different unit. Floors in both units were very dirty. It must have been months since the floors were mopped.
