First time here and totally delighted. Small, very friendly. A joy to experience local theatre performed by people with passion and talent. We saw Darkside and thoroughly enjoyed. This theatre group has been around for over 80 years, amazing. We put Mesa Encore Theatre on our watch list for future performances.

We attended a couple of plays here and they was fine, so we signed up for email news. Learned today that MET has decided to inject itself into politics and raise money for polarizing movements. Too bad we cant just have a theatre that presents productions, without them overtly funding divisive organizations.

I love this theatre. They have a variety of productions to suit just about everyones taste. I highly recommend this Theatre Company.

Great talent, great entertainment

This was our 2nd time in this very small Black Box theatre. As a theatre major, I am a fan of black box theatres because you can do so much with them. This was a play called Scrooge and Rouge. The subplot is the cast gets food poisoning except for 3 members of the cast and remember, the show must go on, they will do The Christmas Carol playing all the parts. It was a musical at some points, but generally it is a farce of fast costume changes, bad jokes and a female Scrooge. I found nothing offensive, however the people sitting next to me left at intermission. However, I spent so long in the theatre little offends me. :)The seating are three rows of regular theatre seats and then chairs on the edges of the stage, like during the Elizabethan period when gentlemen would pay to sit on the stage to show of their finery.

Variety of shows in 4 theaters. Free parking. Restaurants in walking distance from theater.

We saw In The Heights on May 18, 2019 and loved the performance! AWESOME local talent.

The show we went to watch was amazing. However the theater was small and the seats we got (box seat closest to the stage) caused us to miss certain parts. This theater could have been set up better.

For Arizonas longest-running all volunteer theater, this place is super and a great value. We leave the majority of performances having been thoroughly entertained. The venue (Mesa Arts Center) is beautiful. Some plays are performed in very small (100 seat) theaters but dont let that affect you, you will be wowed by the performance and by how many actors can sing & dance on that small stage! Enjoy the show...we always do!

We had ordered tickets to attend a show last month and had to cancel. We contacted them through calls, texts and finally emails before the event and were told that our refund was being sent to us through PayPal. Even though we paid with a credit card. I was a little confused but kept checking my PayPal account. So I contacted Suze at that time and have been in contact with her via email at least once a week. I kept getting told that she sent the money. That was almost a month ago and we still have not received a refund.

Great place to go, wonderful theater, a must see.
