This is true community theater! A very unique and intimate atmosphere that you wont find anywhere else. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into every aspect of their productions and that the actors are enjoying themselves. The concessions are locally sourced from small businesses and the owners are very welcoming! They also have plenty of social distancing measures in place so you can feel comfortable even in the current environment.

A very unique and cozy theater that is run by a wonderful family! Huge variety of shows, community outreach, and one of my favorite places! Theyre also especially diligent and dedicated to safety and health during these times.

Amazing cultural experience! Drove here from Des Moines with a group of friends to see a show. I was beyond amazed by the space and the wonderful talent. Truly a gem. The theatre is cozy, the couches and other seating extremely comfortable, the experience intimate, and the talent top notch. Ill be back and I highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I went to The Tin Woman on Saturday - neither of us had done something like this before and werent sure what to expect.We were both shocked by how much we enjoyed it! The seating is amazing, and the whole place is just adorable :) we already cant wait to come back!

This place is adorable! Very intimate setting with plush sofas and chairs, even throw blankets to cuddle up!! Beer served in a nice reusable Giving Tree Theater cup. Bathrooms decorated in vintage hardware and books. Staff was friendly and the show was stellar!! Will definitely go back.

Really nice place! Good setup, lights, stage design, and costumes. Owners are so friendly and I can tell they care deeply about what they do. Show was good, and for a community theatre I am very impressed. Highly recommend seeing a show here.

Omgsh this place is super adorable! My first time here & everyone was incredibly friendly & the seating is unique & fun! Im really looking forward to the production. My only complaint & it doesnt affect my rating because I understand others will like it but brrrrrrr! If youre not a warm person by nature bring a jacket! Im Im a sweater & jeans in August & could really use a blanket.Crushing on this little find!Update - they brought me a nice warm blanket! As I said, the chill didnt affect my review but now Im wishing I could add another star for the purest lets get this girl a blanket moment ever! FYI - they provide blankets you can grab on your own too! Sometimes ya just gotta ask the right questions! ️️️

We saw Dracs Bac tonight. It was such a pleasure all the way around. The theater is charming, and the play was great. Audience, actors and staff all enjoyed the evening. Thanks for a fun night.

Great place to relax and watch a play. You can get beer, wine or soda and get popcorn or chocolate as a snack. Good performance.

Performances that I have attended have been outstanding. Such a unique cozy theater. Owners could not be kinder. Looking forward to attending many more future performances at the Giving Tree Theater.

This is one of the hidden gems of Marion. I cant do it justice attempting to describe the overall experience. Do yourself a favor and go see anything as soon as you can.

This is an absolutely wonderful venue. Its a small little theater that is full of comfy couches and overstuffed chairs. There is not a bad seat in the place. The stage is right up to the couches and the money goes to charity. They have snacks and random wine, beer, and sodas. I really enjoyed the show and the place was cozy. Great place to go on a date or just for a fun show. The owners are super friendly and gave a short speech before the show.

Giving Tree is a great addition to Marion. The theater itself is unique, the acting talent is excellent. The environment is also excellent!!!

Such a stinkin cute venue! It felt steam punk and fun in the lobby. Inside there were couches for the audience. Cute. Cute. Cute. Right next to the Marion art alley. Good place for a date.

A really amazing small theatre that puts on an awesome combination of oldies and new stuff.

Love this theater. The owners are hilarious and very nice. The productions are well thought out and make use of every inch of space. So much fun to go to this venue.

Went there to watch a show I only knew a coworker was in. The seating was different, but was not uncomfortable. Really enjoyed and cant wait to return.

Fantastic atmosphere! Richie and Heather are like the nicest people in Marion. I have seen 5 or 6 shows in the last 6 months and al of them were fantastic. If you are from the area I strongly encourage you to try out for a play.

I really enjoyed the performances here. Deep, soul searching recitations that were thought provoking. Very laid back setting that was warm and cozy. Super nice people run the show and youll want to go back.

The Giving Tree theater is unlike any Ive been. It is extremely cozy seating on couches and you are in the middle of the play. Very cool!

Beautiful and cozy theater in Marion. A small town theater with the big city shows to grace your eyes with. Great beer and wine options, as well as options to be comfy while seeing a show. (Cannot say the same for TCR in the comfy Dept.)
