This is a great place to gather with close friends. They do not have food, but you can carry in food or get a pizza delivered in.

Super friendly staff, even being solo and bogged down with multiple groups he was attentive and nice. Wines and other offerings were phenomenal and the patio outside is cozy and large enough for a large number of groups or individuals. Amazing spot to visit after seeing Clifty Falls Park or just driving through Madison.

Thomas Family Winery is one of those places that just feels like home. They dont have a broad wine selection, and they dont do sweet wines, but I prefer dry wines, and am fine with having a small selection of favorites. Steve Thomas specializes in small batch handmade wines, wood oven artisan breads, and charcuterie. Live music every Saturday night, great service and staff, and a welcoming and friendly environment. Whats not to love?

Steve and Elizabeth are phenomenal hosts, Steves breads are incredible and Elizabeths knowledge of charcuterie and wines are second to none. They made us feel right at home. Ask for the special house mustard.

We were lucky to end up here for candlelight and pajamas night. With great live music! Staff were really friendly and put together a good charcuterie for us. Good wine! We’ll definitely be back!

The wines are all too dry for my taste BUT this place is AWESOME! My favorite atmosphere of the Indiana Wine Trail so far! Fun local music, fresh baked breads, mead. cider, wines, super cool rustic-old world feel. Lots of culture... Its like if an anthropologist started a winery this would be it! They even have a viking mead reproduction, super cool (extremely dry and yeasty though). We felt very at home! It seemed like the winery all the locals went to in Madison, IN plus they have late hours and the owners are NICE!!! :)

A wonderful winery to visit! They know their way around wines and are very willing to share their knowledge. The outdoor seating area is a great place to enjoy a glass of their wine and just relax. It was nice that they were open on a Tuesday as most of the other wineries were closed. I highly recommend a visit here.

The family vintner really knows his wines. Wine making is an art, but underneath the creativity is a well proven science (enology). The Thomas Family has done their homework to get the taste and balance right. The tasting room is a great place to spend some time learning about wine and sampling some quality products. They do get busy though, but if they have the time, they are more than willing to get into the technical and artistic detail along with delivering a mighty rosy glow.

It’s a shotgun style building with a beautiful outdoor patio area. The owners are knowledgeable and hold customer service in high regard. We ended up buying 5 bottles. It was a girl trip for the group of us and we enjoyed the atmosphere outside a great deal.

This is a good place to go if youre in Madison. They have great homemade bread along with wine they make themselves. The staff and owners there are really nice and attentive to the customers. This is one of my favorite places to go when I am in Madison. It is a great atmosphere for a date night or to hangout with friends. They have many amazing events over the year that are really fun to go to. My happy place. Cozy and friendly, charming proprietors who love what they do. Great wine, cheeses, salamis/sausages, baked-on-site artisanal breads, etc ... its a fabulous listening room for music, too. There is no sweeter place to spend a winter evening. The patio is fun in summer!

We drove to Madison in search of wine tasting and found Thomas Family Winery. The wine was way better than expected and the atmosphere was fun. There was a bachelorette party going on in one of the rooms... looked like fun! Met a lot of nice people. Plan on doing it again. In the end I bought two bottles of wine.

My wife and I came here to celebrate our 45th anniversary . We try to visit every year. The family and staff always make you feel welcome. Their wine and food is worth coming here. The native American blush wine is worth the drive. Love coming to Madison. Mike and Linda Schlager.

The gentleman that poured our wine when we visited Saturday afternoon for a tasting was not exactly the friendliest. Had a condescending attitude when we asked a question. No tips for him and no purchase from here. The Lanthier Winery was much friendlier and did point out the fact that there was a tip jar

We go there for their dry red wines and have never been disappointed. They have an absolutely wonderful Zinfandel. This wine is what we go back for. We will drive down just to try their wines and purchase. The gentleman that works there is very nice and also knowledgeable about the wines. Best Indiana wine by far.

This was a fun stop. Come for the free alcohol and stay for the only hipster in Madison making a delicious charcuterie plate for you. The cider is a little lacking but I understand that Indiana isnt exactly the best place in the world to grow apples.

Very short list of wines.... After she asked me and my wife what kind of wine we liked (dry or sweet), and we said sweet, she said you need to broaden your selection and try other wines. How will you know what you like if you dont try them. EXTREMELY RUDE! We have been to dozens of winerys in several different states.... We know what we like and do not appreciate belittlement. To top it all off, after being forced to try 5 dry wines we didnt like just to be able to try the 1 semi-sweet wine they did have, she had the nerve to ask us to leave a tip in the jar on our way out.SUMMARY: HORRIBLE SERVICE AND WINE!
