My husband and I loved our excursion. Planned our trip to Madison IN around the two hour excursion. It was a wonderful way to start off our mini get away. Captain Jack is knowledgeable and entertaining with his many stories about the Ohio river and those who lived there. Deck hand, Jasper, had amazing vision by pointing out numerous eagles. We saw about eight bald eagles during the ride. Definitely a great trip to include when visiting Madison. It was a great experience that we will talk about for years to come. Thank you Captain Jack and Jasper. We will be back!

Crew was super courteous. Helped with walkers. Stick got sucked up into the engine causing some minor issues but captain and deck hand were very efficient in making repairs. Loved the stories and jokes they told. Will be going again. Highly recommend.

I did the 2 hour trip-- 100% reccomend to any single or not single! Person(s) who want a fun way to explore the Ohio river! Very informative and exceeded every expectation. Very nice crew and the entire boat had a blast!

Wonderful experience! Capitan Paul and Captain Janet were the perfect mix of informative and friendly without being overblown. The tours are fun and have a good mix of history and quiet time to just enjoy the scenery. The seats are comfortable and not cramped. One note, theres no bathroom so plan accordingly. We went on the Bald Eagle spotting tour Overall, a great time and worth the price!

What a great way to spend a day. The crew was very knowledgeable and very interactive with the people on the boat.Everything is up to date and well maintained. I felt very comfortable and relaxed.

Love love love! We did the 2 hr trip in the evening and it was wonderful. Captain Paul was very knowledgeable and super nice. Also give credit to Jasper for all of his jokes and helping us on/off boat. Would recommend this trip for anyone and want to do the overnite one next!

We took the 40 mile trip on June 14, 2020. The weather was great and the river very beautiful. The captain is very entertaining and well informed about the rivers history and legends. We also saw a bald eagle. I highly recommend this trip!

The trip was great & now were thinking about doing the 2 day tour. The captain related interesting facts & stories, plus comments on the rivers today. He was knowledgable and friendly and we all really enjoyed this. My son barely even looked at his phone!

Wonderful tour. The boat is in perfect condition. The captains are very friendly and knowledgeable. I would deffinately make another trip just for this. I plan to recommend this to several people I know. We saw 5 different bald eagles on one 2 hour tour. 2 sets of mated pairs and one other later on.

Absolutely fantastic! Kyle at the front desk was amazing! All the staff were super nice and our captain (Will) was super talented and super nice! I would suggest this to anyone in the area! Definitely a highlight of this trip.

My family and I took both a two-hour tour and also a two-day tour up the Kentucky River. Both were excellent. The staff are wonderful. We were with my 89-year-old father, and we were at the limits of his mobility getting in and out of the boat, but the crew (and the other guests, for that matter) were extremely supportive and helped make everything possible.The boat goes fast, so you see a lot of lovely country, but the sound of the wind and the motors means that you probably shouldnt expect to have a lot of long conversations on Rockin Thunder. But its great if you want to sit back and relax and take in the beautiful scenery, with occasional stops for a number of interesting and often funny stories about the history of the rivers and the people who have lived on and along them.

Rockin thunder were very nice and accommodating to us . My friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, then had her hip replaced . We had 2 tickets that we werent going to use ,so I posted on their site. We should have given them a 24 hr notice of cancelation. They gave us the money back on the tickets , just by chance there were 2 people that got to go . Very nice people , decent prices . Cant wait til next yr . Looking forward to the 2 day trip and also the fast boat ride. Thank you again Captain Paul .I learned alot from you and cant wait to hear the stories about the other locks

Captains Paul and Janet not only put together a memorable two day trip from Madison to Frankfort the made sure the weather was great too! The knowledge Paul shared during the trip demonstrated his love for the river and the communities on it. I highly recommend one of the trips they offer.

Safe and exciting ride, but their wake trashes my boat every time they pass by. I have to tie down my teapot and cooler whenever I know they will be in the area. The pilot and customers make a friendly wave but their thunder boat waves smack me and my boat with several hundred pounds of force. What does this company do when they pass smaller craft like canoes or fishing boats? Go from 40 mph to 5?

I dont appreciate Paul Nicholson, the note you put on my truck about where I parked tonight at the pubic landing in Madison. Being labor day weekend, the landing was packed. There was no other place to park but the center of the landing, like I did with 7 other trucks and trailers. I see you put a note on my truck that said..if your gonna park in the center, dont boat here. Thats extremely rude, especially I saw you didnt put notes on any other trucks. Please remember, its s PUBLIC LANDING not rocking thunders landing. You have to share like we have to share with you. Please do not harass me or threaten me that Im going to be ticketed if I park there again. I try to be considerate at the landing and would appreciate if you would also!

Dont know about the tour itself, but the driver sure as hell doesnt know how to slow down when passing boats anchored and fishing or swimming in the ky river

Superior company. We had a wonderful trip to the Captain s Quarters for a great lunch and return trip home. The staff we as friendly and knowledgable. We plan to go again soon.

Surprised my youngest daughter with a little 2 day trip to Madison, the high speed boat ride was amazing, we had the best time!! We will be back.

Great time! We did the hour tour and it was a great mix of speed, donuts, local history and humor. I did this we my 10 year old son and it held his attention the entire hour.

100% the best service anyone could ask for. The knowledge of the river, and history of the area was GREAT. I looked at all the reviews, and noticed some low scores, i try to find what they complained about, but could not. We will be taking the 2 day overnight trip next year.

This was an AMAZING experience!! Capt Will was great. He made this a memorable experience. The music was great that he played while driving the boat. It was just my husband, 16yr & 10yr old sons & myself. We were SOAKED by the end of the ride. We kept asking for more & we got it. Lol Capt Will was even soaked & laughed with us. We would definitely do this again, if we ever came back this way. We are from Long Island,NY. If you like wild & crazy, this is for you. Capt Will, thank you for a GREAT time.
