I wanted a room with working bath tub but ours did not hold water. There were not enough towels in room. The room had not been cleaned properly prior to our stay. Trash in microwave and behind. The pool was broke down and therefore not as appealing as the price. Coffee and juice were offered for breakfast. I understand we are in Covid 19 clutches but people still trying to help local economy should be able to see and receive better standards. I hope it improves.

Very run down and DIRTY. There’s no excuse for the filth. Next time I’ll sleep in my car. Disgusting.

The mattress in the bed were extremely hard they werent comfortable at all. Also no soap in the room. So my stay was pretty bad to say the least.

Really, really unfortunate. Mold, water damage, cigarette damage. And this was the second room they gave us, as the first one smelled like smoke. (This one did, too.) Well supposedly be getting our money back when a supervisor comes onto shift this morning... well see how easily that happens.We had driven 12 hours and then had to find another pet friendly place at 12 AM. Best Way Inn is not for normal customers - its a den. Dont stay here.Update: we were refunded without any hassle.

The room was clean overall. The air conditioner, however, was as loud as truck stop, roaring all night long. Otherwise is was just fine. I am not sure I had the settings for the AC correctly set.... Or it just needed some attention.

Smelled like an ashtray, stained towel, moldy bathroom ceiling, dirty/stained upholstered chair, dead bugs on floor, sketchy looking blanket, no blow dryer - on a positive: the sheets were clean, office people were friendly at check in and listened politely when I complained.

The management on duty during the afternoon hours is very nice. She always is pleasent & checks you in quickly & smoothly. She double checks with you to make sure you are comfortable & your room is clean and ready. Check out with her is great.She is always cheerful. Room was missing a few items- cups etc. Overall good stay again

Im always impressed with the service and cleanliness here. Great place if youre in town to visit or looking for a cheap staycay. I would be giving them 5 stars but I stayed here during the recent pandemic. The pool was closed and the continental breakfast was canceled for obvious reasons. My only issue, they didnt adjust the daily rate to reflect the loss of those amenities.

Terrible stay. Room smelled like smoke and was dirty. House keeping obviously does not know how to do their job. Upon checking in was splitting the payment. The clerk said that she hit the wrong button and I wasnt charged so I ended up paying cash. 180 for 2 nights (not weekend) when I settled in my room and I checked the bank I I had been charged 134 was told for 3 days they reverses transaction. When I had to check out I still did not have my money back in account. Spoke with the owner she was very rude and inconsiderate and did not care that her employees error took the rest of my money and they had already taken all my cash..would not offer any way to rectify the situation with me the pool is closed there is no breakfast I hardly had any channels on a junk television from 2009. The phone didnt have any legend for the numbers and buttons. The neighbors were loud blaring music all night yelling and being loud and rudeboth nights. Construction workers from Alexanders I think. The room was dim dark and gloomy with all the lights on and felt like I was getting ate up by bugs all night bit I didnt see any so I cant say for sure if there was any. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be kept up all night by drunks and druggies and leave broke. DO NOT STAY HERE. Pretty sure someone scammed me oyt of 134 dollars and there has been no resolution. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Worst hotel experience in a long time maybe ever and Ive stayed at some nasry ones and that is really saying something

The pool was nice and warm for a February night. I don’t have too many complaints for the price point. You know it isn’t a five star hotel when you pay a very low price.

It was an okay stay, but they charge you for having a service animal and will ask for your identification that it’s real which is against ADA federal law and Indiana State law. If it was any other Service dog team that stayed they would be filed a lawsuit for going against the federal law, because under ada law for Service animals, there is no such thing as a certification, they don’t have to wear gear, and they are not to be charged and have ALL public access to all hotels, restaurants, stores and anywhere that isn’t pet friendly! The manager and owner really need to read the ada law and FOLLOW it, because they are going against the LAW. If you have a service animal I WOULD not stay here. Protect your rights and I know I WILL NEVER stay here again until they straighten this major problem.

The room stunk, trash can not empty, towels smelled musty, shower would not drain, and our socks were instantly black from floor. Holes in wall. After 1 hour we left and demanded refund.

Rooms are clean. Recently remodeled. Fridge & microwave in the room. Laminated floors. Flat screen TVs. Free Wifi. I have stayed here many times over a 12 year period. Its lots nicer then when I first started going there.

This place was beyond disgusting. Booked a king room and got a queen double. Room stunk like smoke, holes in comforter. Shady characters outside. Would be scared to stay here alone.

Clean, basic, economical motel. I have arthritis in both of my knees, and the staff was very accommodating by assigning me a room on the first floor, within a very short walk to the lobby for morning coffee and breakfast. Perfect for a two night stay! If they would repeat that accommodation, I will return again next October!

Got to our room and even though there was a no smoking sign on the door the room wreaked of cigarette smoke. We got moved to another room and as soon as my son turned on the bathroom light he saw a cockroach which I killed then took to the front desk. We immediately left. Witnessing a guy urinating in the parking lot didnt add to the experience either.

The king room I had was spacious and nicely furnished, with a large desk and chair and a dining table and 2 chairs. The room had a nice TV, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It was quiet, clean and safe. There are several restaurants to walk to. The bed was comfy and the water was hot. Breakfast would please most people.

Stay here often while in the area. The staff and wonderful and the rooms are clean and quiet. The restaurants are top notch. The surrounding grounds on the property are well taken care of and are quite nice. I would recommend Best way to anyone staying in the area

Stayed here two days when our fuse box fried at home. The place was moderately clean, but it smelled dank like it used to be a smoking room. There was a gross wad of gum on the headboard and several hairs in the bed, so Id recommend getting extra bed linens, towels, and cleaning supplies if youre any degree of a germ freak. The cable channel selection is good and the indoor pool is a perk if you have kids. Any outside temp above 50° would be suitable to use the pool or workout area. The parking lot has some mean potholes on the way in off the main drive, but seems secure enough that with locked doors I felt our cars were safe.The staff seems pretty friendly, minus one lady that chided me the second morning about taking waffles and donuts back to the room to my small children. I doubted she would want my toddlers rampaging in her quiet dining area at 7:30am, so I took it back to them. The first day the desk lady offered me a box to take the food back to the room with, but the second made it a point to let me know that it wasnt allowed. As a customer that made me feel really uncomfortable, especially knowing that I paid for the entire customer experience and in a way wasnt getting it. Ive never been to a hotel where the breakfast is policed like this. If anything, I saved them money in cleanup labor by just taking it back to the room, so I dont know why it was even worth mentioning besides to make me feel less at home.On the bright side of the staff, the room service ladies were super nice and attentive of our needs. They definitely deserve a raise!Overall, Id probably stay again in an emergency because of the price online ($65-something after taxes or whatever). You cant really beat this for a sub-$75 a night room. Anywhere else around here, there are only hotels with legitimate security problems for that rate. If they would have charged over $75, I definitely would have gone to the holiday or comfort inn here. If youre in the market for something less than $75 a night though, this is it.

Terrible we had reserved two rooms we found bedbugs in one of our beds upon waking up! Notified front desk and they told us they would discount the room. Poor upkeep bathroom door looked like someone tried to break into it door was really damaged toilet seat looked dirty upon arrival. walls needed paint. TV cable service didn’t work..... should have just paid the extra 60 bucks and book a better hotel

Room was very spacious. Very filthy. We moved the hideaway bed out from the wall to slide the bed out & the floor was disgusting. Had them come in to sweep the rooms. When we checked in we were told that the pool was open til 10p. We went to get in the pool & it was locked. Called them & they said they closed it do to mold. They called us back a few moments later & told us that the pool was back opened?! Later the next day I turned the the jet tub on & we used the shower which gets water everywhere. Later to discover there is water on the floor on the other side of the wall by the beds. My daughter who was crawling all over the room would have been cleaner crawling outside in the grass! Definitely not coming back. We come here every year at least once. We will be researching other places to stay.

The staff was fantastic! Its a shame because the hotel is very ran down. Our room didnt have the room# on the door and it said occupied upon arrival. We knocked and upon no answer proceeded in. It wasnt occupied that part of the door was broken. Mold on the ceiling above the shower. Yuck!!!! At breakfast, my husband happened to take a hold of the table and it was sticky on the underneath. We didnt finish breakfast. I purchased the room at $89 plus taxes, etc. I was charged $129 before taxes, etc. Also the room was purchased thru your site(Travelocity) as Best Western. Had I known that it had changed to Best Way, I would not have booked. The picture you are showing while Im making my comments shows the proper name. A lot of misleading information that just kept leading down a very upsetting stay. Once again the staff was beyond helpful.

Cheap clean rooms

Its not a terrible place but those Photos are deceiving. They must have been taken when the place first opened because it does not look like that now.

First room had no cable box, dirty sheets, dirty toilet. Second room we couldnt get the door open. Third room, with a big shove we got the door open. Ashes on night stand, no remote for tv, drawer missing from dresser, no towels. But clean sheets. AC works great. Very nice and helpful staff, but this place is dirty and sad. If we hadnt prepared online and it really 1030 night, would have left. Do not recommend. Two star is purely for friendliness of staff.

Roims were adequate. Clean. Breakfast was prepared and presented in a way that served many quickly. Everything was fresh.

But the rest of the place needed a good scrubbing..windows were dirty, drapes were dirty and the sidewalk had green mold growing on it....never made it to the pool area so cant offer any comments... okay if youre just looking for a place to crash like we were needing.. plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby

I was supposed to stay here for 2 weeks while my apt was being redone. I only stayed a week. When it rained everything in the room felt damp. It was awful. The front desk staff was very nice except for the general manager. She was very rude. I would not waste my money on this place again. Its a dump. The prices are to high for what you get.

I stayed an extra night ,and they over charged me for 3 nights not two. they refuse to refund me . Will not stay here anymore. Staff is friendly except one lady that was off for this past weekend, and the GM.

Mattresses, flooring, and heater were all in new condition and unusually high quality. Breakfast was good with waffle maker and pancake maker. Heated pool was a highlight. Very accessible location near many restaurants., but quiet.

They have made some improvements since last time. Looking more kept up. Rooms are good , prices are good. Not enough people working to assist guests. Front desk help are short staffed and get edgy if you ask for something. Asked for towels for.pool and they were too busy to give us any. Said they would bring them down to pool and never did. Went back to office dripping wet and still couldnt get any. Gave up used our room towels. Cleaning ladies very nice and helpful. Need to take your staff to the French Lick Resort for a real lesson in hospitality.

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating the grounds are beautifully kept its a good price for a room and I get a free continental breakfast cant beat that

When I checked and it took the lady 10 minutes to figure out how to do a military discount. The bathtub, I almost fell and busted my butt because what looks like safety threats or not.

The owners are rude. I got a no smoking room and it smelled like a ashtray. My cable didnt work for a week. I was there for 6 weeks. The receptionist and housekeepers are super nice although.

My wife and I travel for her business 4 months each year and see a LOT of economy accommodations. We travel with our dog which limits our options. We are always prepared for the worst.Sure. This an older 2 star motor inn which could use some TLC outside and in. I give it high marks for these reasons: its cheap and they allow pets; our room is clean; the AC unit works well and doesnt just spew damp stinky air; hot water is hot, pressure in the shower is so high itll take the skin off, and the drain works (rare at any price); staff is pleasant, attentive and always ready to help.I knocked off a point because they charge $15/night for our dog. There is no reason for it because there is no carpet in the room and their furniture is already pretty beat up and threadbare.We would stay here if we ever pass this way again. Fall, 2019.

Particular room i last stayed in this place, heater was trash. It was COLD February. Froze for a nite. Big time regret not making a big complaint scene with staff to get deposit back but just wanted the hell out in the precious heat of my vehicle

The room had bed bugs and when I called the office to simply ask for sheets to lay out on the floor to sleep.they asked what happened I explained Im allergic to bed bugs showed him the welts from getting bitten.he told me that it wasnt.. Um Ive been hospitalized for this before I know what it is... He ended up letting me strip another rooms bed.. Also they advertise free HBO but havent had it in some time.. Im sure switching to digital doesnt take that long

We booked this hotel because it was dog friendly, however when we requested housekeeping not enter our room due to having our dog in the room, we returned to our door wide open and 3 housekeepers present in the room with no “cleaning” done. Very sketchy. Would not recommend.

Started out fine Friday night was fairly quiet.pool was closed due to heater, then on Saturday night someone with loud exhaust kept reving up engine then leave, would come back within half hr or so. An hr later same thing. I think I got woke up 4 or 5 times just from that, then people with NO respect for anyone else would yell back and forth to other rooms, AFTER MIDNIGHT. Very disrespectful. Even had the same group of people walking past our door laughing, carrying on at 2 am. I know they get a lot of contractors who work in the area that stay there and most of them are decent.

The tub was not draining properly so when taking a shower you had to stand in water. The front desk staff was very sociable. It didnt seem busy and no one bothered us. Rarely seen any other customers. It is a bit run down and dirty. Could use new carpet. Found someone elses sock under the bed. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The heating unit worked perfectly. Cheap kleenex and toilet paper and there was no hair dryer so I had to leave with wet hair. Never took advantage of the free breakfast. TV was very small.

Size of room is ok. Inside pool and recroom closed due to weather. Short in the wires to the TV. When we turn on the light over the sink, tv stops working. Ice machine not working. Room wasnt properly cleaned after someone stayed with a dog. Found dog food under the heater/AC unit. Multiple channels not working on the TV. Very disappointing.

My daughter rented a room for the night as a birthday present for my grandson & had a nice party for him. We swam in the heated pool & enjoyed the cake & opening of presents afterwards. The staff was very accommodating, pleasant & professional. The rooms are nice, there is an excersize room in the pool house as well. It is also very close to many restaurants.

The room was large and clean. There wasnt many amenities and somebody had stolen the HDMI cable from the TV so they had to get another one. A lot of people were hanging out in front of rooms and on walk ways which made me a little nervous. They seemed to be short staffed.

Nice little hotel. Heated indoor pool is nice. Rooms are just regular rooms, nothing special, but not a bad place to lay your head down. I have no complaints. If youre just looking for a regular hotel room with free WiFi & HBO, then this is great.

Wanted something affordable and close to Clifty Falls State Park. This was perfect! The staff was friendly and the room was exactly what we wanted after hiking all day. A place to take a bath and sleep. The only thing that I can say that I didnt like was the room was a non smoking room but had the hint of smoke when you first walked in. The free breakfast was a bonus in the morning, nothing fancy but the coffee was good and hot, which is what I look forward to. Overall I would come back without a second thought. We had a great time.

Me and my fiancé booked this room today 11-11-2017 we walked into run first checked under mattress and top quilt and we find bedbug crawling under cover. We took picture n video called front desk she came and said she’d call a exterminator. Luckily we checked bed very first or we would be victims of this nasty establishment... it was room 238. Beware stay away from this chain and location. Doesn’t even deserve a star!!! We were so disgusted. Calling BBB today and report this incident. We got the hell out of the town and came back home. Horriable experience. Place is a dump.... I’m sure if there active in this room no telling how many others will get them gross!!!Def stay away from best way inn unless you like dirty filthy rooms and bedbugs!!!

I was just visiting a friend, but it did seem nice. There was a pond and grasst area for recreating as well as a pool. The rooms seemed clean. I did not spend the night so I can not speak to customer service at all. Only complaint I have is there were mattress piled up out side that looked gross. Other than that it was comfortable.

Immediately the staff was understanding of our late check-in as we were driving in from Pittsburgh.. the price and value was fantastic with the ammenties..the pool was heated and clean..it felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves..the housekeeping was kind and kept us stocked in extra towels and coffee.. i will be staying here when we come back next year to see my brother! :)

Called during the nightshift to check to see if a watch had been found. I will not go into details about the rude attendant i spoke with. She was nothing like the woman who checked us in on the afternoon i arrived. So defensive and unprofessional. I guess that is why she works nights...to limit her contact with people. Yuck!

The room was clean and tidy. The only thing was that the air conditioner took a long time to cool down the room. The service was amazing. Great experience.

Had switch rooms 3 times, first room the door was already opened(room was clean) but did not feel comfortable. Second room the AC was not working and the T.V did not have hdmi hook ups like we were told every room had. Third room there was two light bulbs missing. the T.V froze half way threw the stay called and asked for help but was told there was nothing that they could do. Pool was heated but also there was a clump of human hair in it and foltage(don’t think the pool filter is working) however each room was clean and seemed like the staff tryed there best.

The Best Way Inn Madison is about 5 minutes drive from the spectator viewing area for the Madison Regatta. We brought bikes hoping we could ride from the hotel, but its too far and its up and down some steep hills. However, parking near the race wasnt bad and it was nice to be in a hotel near stores and restaurants.The hotel staff is very friendly and the breakfast is convenient and good. My only criticism is that the hotel seems to be needing a lot of maintenance. Our door was difficult to shut and the shower fixtures were nearly non-functional. Someone with less than a mechanics hands might not be able to turn on the shower. The bathroom fan was missing. The TV was an old dinosaur, but it worked.The hotel didnt detract from our trip to Madison, but I probably could have found a nicer stay for the money.
