I would 100% recommend Purity Spring Resort for families - in fact I spent the entire three days on the property during a getaway just with my husband wishing Id have brought the kids along as there were so many things that they would have enjoyed. Nevertheless, theres something to be said about sitting lakeside alone with my husband just taking in the beauty and relaxing! Thursday, while everyone was off on the canoe trip, was a beautiful time for us as a couple to hang back, kayak and we swam and actually played on the iceberg and teeter-totter in the water - a place that would normally attract a lot of kids. We hadnt laughed together like that in quite a long time! The family traditions at the resort are evident, and those that have had the pleasure of returning here year after year are eager to share their experiences with newcomers like my husband and I were. Theres no shortage of activities for everyone from hiking and fishing to boating, dining, lounging, swimming, kayaking, to organized activities like tie dying and crafts, the game room, the indoor pool and fitness center - I could go on and on. You will never be bored at Purity Spring and if you are, take a deep breath, look around and just take in the beauty that surrounds you! The accommodations are great, are room was really clean and the housekeeping staff was super friendly as was all those that we ran into on the staff during our visit. Dont miss the Lobster cookout on Thursday nights - what an absolute treat! The food is great but the big family atmosphere on the island cant be replicated at any other restaurant anywhere!
Planning a wedding in NH from CA was overwhelmingly stressful at times as you can imagine, and no one put us more at ease than Laurie Campbell of Purity Spring Resort. There are not enough words to describe how professional, detail oriented, and kind Laurie is. She went above and beyond at all costs from start to finish. Thanks to Laurie, our wedding day was absolutely perfect and seamless. I cant recommend this venue and Laurie enough for weddings. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about it, 6 months later! Cant wait to visit the resort again soon.
Staff was so accommodating and helpful. We had a minor issue with our room, asked to be moved and they set us up in a suite beside the lake that was fabulous. We hiked, canoed, and loved the swimming pool. Traditions restaurant is excellent and our server Aaron was so superb, very attentive and friendly. Great two days I would recommend highly!
I absolutely LOVE Purity Spring Resort. Its not fancy, but its perfect! Welcoming staff, and feel like you are coming home for your stay. I always enjoy my get-away at Purity, whether it be for their Scrapbook weekend, or our own crafty retreat. I also enjoyed skiing there this past winter. Great value for the money. Highly recommend.
Our family including two teenagers stayed at the resort last week in the Hillside Cottage and had an amazing time. The accommodations were perfect for us, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. There are daily activities, the lake is pristine and not crowded, my boys loved the fishing and paddle boarding. The food at Traditions was amazing. We ordered from the menu and also ate at the buffet which changed everyday. We are already planning a trip back next year!
In overall a good place, we are beginners and never skied before, we took a private lesson to learn the basics and it was pretty good, our instructor was Ian.After youre done with the basics you go to the ski lift and here is where it gets more complicated.Its hard to actually follow or spot a beginner track since they all cross each other and in any case the last slope even when youre in the green line is a killer so not quite sure how beginner should do it.My recommendation is to take few days of training in not only one hour , to cover everything with the instructor including the slope.Tube trails was closed when we came (end of December).Some of the rooms are did friendly!We will definitely come again!
I come to Purity Spring Resort every fall with a group of women for a stitching get-away. We love it here and always have a wonderful time. The facilities are inviting and the staff just wonderful, from our contact person, Laurie, to our house keeper, Sue to the guys in maintenance.....Carl, Pete and the rest.However, this year I was disappointed and a bit taken aback by the treatment I received at the check in desk on Sunday morning. I asked about our bill and the gal was so rude I was dumbfounded. I realize Laurie is the person to talk to about group rates but I hadnt seen her and wanted to make sure we were on the same page before leaving. This gal couldnt have cared less what I wanted. She cut me off before I could finish my question and proceeded to tell me how angry she was because her co-worker hadnt returned when she wanted to go get breakfast. I had another person from my group making a purchase from the gift shop. She took the money and pushed the purchase (2 coffee mugs) across the counter at her. No tissue paper, no bag, nothing. The entire time she was complaining about her lack of breakfast. As we were leaving, she was out the door and across the street to the dining room.....leaving the desk unattended.
ATTENTION POND HOCKEY TOURNAMENT PLAYERS!! This place is not worth the money it costs to stay! We booked at the inn and it was basically a barn with beds in it, as is the mill. I do not know what the other rooms looked like, but for much cheaper you can stay a a nicer place than this in north conway only 20 mins away. The pictures on their website were probably taken 20 years ago when the place was kept up nicely, it looks very run down now. Also FYI if you think you can walk around the resort (dont be fooled by the name...its not!) you can not! nothing at this place is within walking distance and it is also on a busy road/highway. If you are playing in the hockey tournament there is no parking. And yes you will have to drive because they dont tell you that the pond is actually way down the very busy road and you can not walk to it. You have to park miles away and use the shuttle unless you plan on getting there for 7am then you may find a spot on the side of the road. The shuttle also takes about 30 mins just to get to the pond because it goes all around this place and picks everyone else up, again not worth it. Also as per the youth tournament website it says each participant gets free ski passes to use that weekend.........surprise surprise, you dont!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
If you need escape from city life, Purity Spring Resort is your place to goWhat can be better than a resort surrounded by lake with spacious hotel rooms or condo, fantastic inn/restaurant, free boats(kayaks/canoos), swimming pool, tennis courts, kids play area, private beach, trails for hiking and bicycling and much more. Perfect escape if you have small family or groups for reunion. You will be pleased with their hospitality. And, dont forget to get message on premises. Ask for Gretchen Loeffler (message therapist) and you will thank me. I will definitely visit here again and recommend it to my friends and family.
Really great and cool place, we went there with a big group. They have plenty of activities and lot of them are free. Nice and clean rooms.
Went here for the weekend for a family event. The rooms are basically like a very good camp (some building) or a small ski area (some other buildings), with some nice rooms near the check in building. We also had buffet meals, which were surprisingly good.The lake is quite nice, and very, very cold at the beginning of the summer. Theres also an indoor pool, exercise room, softball field, and basketball court. Nice setting, about 30 south of the malls at North Conway.
This place is a gem. If greenery, friendliness, fresh and voluminous food and casual recreation is your thing, this is for you. We have spent over 7 summers here and dont tire of it. There is as much for the young and old as there is for the in between, if you love the outdoors. The staff are outstanding and ever accommodating.
We enetered the pool/ gym area and where pleases with the staff that was there. We went to the pool to spend about one hour on the pool and hot tub but where disappointed when found that the hot tub wasn’t as warm as it should be the bubbles where really loud and the space is very small we meet a old man that was watching videos there and he talked to us yet I couldn’t him over the bubbles I recommend it to come here with the kids but not for a romantic get away
Rustic and friendly. Staff is pleasant and accomodating! The area is beautiful, and the breakfast buffet at Traditions is scrumptious! Our family has been coming here for at least 30 years, always a treat!

Great laid back atmosphere but not a lot of amenities. They offer massage but when we called they couldnt find a massage therapist to do the work! If you want to relax its a great spot.

It is a great place for family activity and there are different activities every day, including tie-die, tennis, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, rock wall climbing, paddle boarding and more. We meet a lot of people there and we participate in activities with them. Also, there are a lot of activities near Purity Springs that you can participate in without the group of visitors, like Dianas Baths and Story Land. And other options like near by massages and hikes. It is also a place for not only vacations both family reunions and weddings or any other things you might want to have. The staff are very helpful and nice. there are a lot of different places to stay and one place is The Inn, where there is a game room, bar, restaurant and of course rooms ton stay in. But there is also the The Mill, King Pine, Mill Brook and more. There are magic shows. And waterskiing, wake boarding and knee boarding available at Sunset Beach. The other place to swim is Purity Lake. There are daycare options too. You can reserve tables and times for meals. There is an option to play a game of softball or baseball.In The Mill, which is also a swimming pool and hot tub area, there is a gift shop with clothes, swimsuits, swim shirts, stuffed animals, drinks, medicine, hair brushes, tooth brushes and more. There is also a fitness room. Our family has kept this a tradition for many years and we hope you can too.
Love staying at the base lodge. Wake up in the morning and the slope is right there. Nice spacious clean rooms. I have been coming here for years and highly recommend the trip!
The resort is sprawled across a beautiful lake. Theres lots of amenities, boat rentals, pool and spa, beaches, and more that we didnt have time to check out onour single night stay. The food was great and the staff was super nice (of slightly uncoordinated due to the shift to their off-season the day we showed up). Definitely planning to return and stay for longer to see/do all that there is!

Just spent three nights with our family of 4. Wished we had stayed longer. Our 5 year old son and 8 year old daughter absolutely loved it! One of the best family vacations weve been on.
We had my sons birthday here. The staff was very accommodating. The toughest part was the people from out of state.

We got a couples massage after several days with the kid on King Pine for February vacation. It was incredible, felt so good on our sore bodies. We recommend you get one!

A wonderful family experience. Kayaks, canoes, rowboats, stand up paddle boards, and sailboats are available for guests, as well as supervised activities like archery, waterskiing, rock climbing, and river trips. The staff is experienced and friendly.
Great pool to bring kids to although in my opinion they should have a family pass option it gets expensive.

The annual YaYa shoppers trip was once again a wonderful weekend thats to the amazing staff at the resort its been a long 8 year hyatis but we were bigger and better and look forward to next year! Laurie was a wonderful van driver who has the patience of a saint who went above and beyond making sure our packages were safe and that the ya ya shoppers were delivered to the stores if the choices. Our check in was flawless and everyones room was perfectly clean and cozy too. It was amazing what we were offered for meals the tastes leaving delightful memories on our tongues! New and old shoppers joined once again but a bit of a scare when I had an unexpected seizure. Bravo to the fast acting Melissa in the dining hall for calling 911 to ensure my safety. Many of the wait staff names I sadly can’t remember along with the adorable cook and assistants that went above and beyond to make sure each and every one of us had what we needed to make our dining experiences ones to remember. From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of my fellow shoppers thank you thank you thank you. Looking forward to our 2018 trip ️

My family ate at the traditons resteraunt for easter sunday brunch. The staff was superb, food was amazing, eggs benadict and roast beef to die for. definitely will be back for more good timea at Traditions!

Weve been going to king pine pool for 8 years now, mostly in the winter season. The prices go up but the condition of the pool has declined.
Just went to use the pool. Really nice, kinda pricey if you only want to go once.
There fit a birthday pool party, not very good at working with people who book parties, very very strict rules.
