My God-Daughter gors here for Summer vacation day camp. The staff is wonderful and she comes home tired from her busy days. Kudos to them!

The workers are the best they have the best NA meeting in the city and everything is love everyone love the park and loves the recreational help wasnt for the curly hair girl behind the counter just wouldnt be a pleasant experience she never gets upset no matter how much they have still I recommend you go and have your functions there or bring the kids there to Great Park

Free WiFi here courtesy of the city of LA but only stinky porta potties during the off season from the months when the public pool is open unfortunately. Gosh darnit I miss those wacky lifeguard kids and the best waterslide EVER in a neighborhood pool!! See you there next spring with bells on!

It was peaceful and quiet when I went there this morning.. One man asked me if I had a piece of candy and I told him I think so so I reached into my purse and lo and behold I gave him one. He thanked me and I was on my way. He smiled at me as I was leaving the park and told me thank you very kindly. That made me smile and made my day.

This park has been very good to me. Running water and toilets any time of day. Hop the fence, no one cares. The locals and transients both coexist here, though the feelings arent always warm and fuzzy. Great place to take a nap.

God bless this place I used to live in Hollywood for many years on Gower and Lexington I love this park its a great place to chill out watch basketball people watch and just enjoy the beautiful air and beautiful Ambience of Hollywood near Santa Monica Boulevard

We visit the swimming pool and it was a nice, clean place but many homeless people all around it. The place doesnt have family rooms for kids and parents, they only have women and men changing rooms and the lady at the front desk dont allow you to take your kid to the women room with you. Not safe since its a public place and a kids can not be left alone getting dress in front of other old guys that can be a danger for them.So its a nice place but not safe for kids!

Nice clean park, went there for a particular event and was pleased. Would for sure go back.

I am one of the homeless youth that hang around this park area. It was never suppose to be this bad. Months ago myself & a few other youth always kept the area clean & respectful, never smelled, never problems with cops, never hated by the public. Im sorry that it has gotten out of control, it wasnt suppose to h happen, but many of these homeless youth around arent drug users & are quite clean as i myself am. I hope to be off the streets soon enough as i do work, please as a community help other youth when you see them at the p park. Job offers, housing ideas, support s systems! Many do want to leave the streets

Quiet and lowkey place with basketball courts and lots of shade probably great for a birthday party

The Park is open but the pool is closed now but will reopen I think in June lots of fun during the summer

Used to hang out there with Poland,Heath, billy,Wayne chapen, Kelly, Thornton,McDonald. In the middle to late 1950s. Sure miss those days.

Good place to play Dodgeball. Lots of homeless in the area but I have never had an issue with any of them. The gym is a little dated but functional. There is a basketball court, baseball field, small playground and swimming pool.

The ump old school is an ignorant,negative person for our children. His a bully & abusive, but in reality its the parks fault. Hollywood recreational park has enough money to hire a real, positive ump. Someone that respects team players, the coach, parents & their own children. For example, the ump at Queen Anne Recreational Center. Very professional, respectable,positive, a mentor!!!!!

Scary - turned up with kids for a dip and got told to stay away from the bad guys in the park, tramps and vagrants all over the place all high and just not a nice place.The pool was good though - nice to get in there and cool down.

Great park but the past few days iv gone the homeless smoke on the non smoke zone there so careless and ignorent... The park must KICK THEM OFF THE AREA

Stinks of urine and human poop, which is visible on the ground, sidewalks, and parking lots. Could be fun if you enjoy that kind of things.

Dodgeball dodgeball dodgeball. Clean restrooms, but theyre normally out of soap. Parking might get a bit difficult at night, but its never been impossible in the 5 years Ive been going.

The Thanksgiving event is always beautiful and awesome. They hold many community events here

I was jumped by three homeless people by a group of tents on the sidewalk of this park. it is not safe here. i cant believe rhis happened in daylight imagine at night. please clear this place up

A lot of people underestimate the value to the community this place really has I just want to thank the Hollywood Recreation Department for providing a safe environment

Nice and spacious but limited equipment

I experienced this gym for the first time last night during a dodgeball game. The gym itself is VERY small and stuffy even with the multiple open windows.But overall, its a great size to play dodgeball. The parking can be a bit hard but when youre lucky, there is available spots on either Cole or Cahuenga.They keep their gym clean. I couldnt slide on my knee pads or shoes but I suppose thats a good thing compared to other gyms / indoor courts.

Fun, clean pool. Warm showers are a plus.
