Came here for a movie shoot. The place was very Friendly. No one was causing trouble that day even knowing the location of this place. It was a nice environment and people were respectful of the job we were doing there.

This is a nice family oriented place to bring your kids and watch them play organized sports .

Kids loved it so I loved it 2... Very quiet decent size park has exercise equipment, basketball court recreation center 4 kids n pool is still under construction...

The bathrooms are terrible they really could do better with the bathroomsother than that its a really great park it has a lot of workout equipment so that is greatly appreciate it

I have been going to this park since 1964 and I enjoy the park now more than ever due to the man exercise machines that are available to as well as just a walk in the park. Friendly people of all races coming through. Im luvn it

During The pandemic this park is open. I utilize the basketball courts (outdoor) there is 4 baskets. The full court basket is broken, only half court baskets are good. People use the track and field to workout as well

I dont get why a rim is broken on the outdoor fool court. I will buy the dang thing if so be it because its a safe place and one damaged rim is waist of space

Great athletics programs for all youths, basketball, football, soccer and more. Pool returning soon and also very good and reasonably priced summer camp program which also feeds the children and had field trips EVERY week.

Be careful but this park is my home for shooting hoops and being active. Great place to focus on physical shape and mind

Lovely park to go for a run. Or friendly soccer matches.

Its a decent park has too many homeless people just living there. A lot of trash but for what I do I just run in with my dog and leave its best not to stick around for too long.

Great atmosphere to workout at. It appeared that little league sign-ups/games were taking place. Van Ness will probably be the primary workout spot.

A place for family to enjoy each other

Better to go when there are less people for les problems. Last times I went some young adults under 18 years were literally smoking weed right next to the playground. Another time some parents cast next to the playground smoking cigarettes. Then 3 kids 6 to 9 Im guessing were taunting people cursing and throwing sand at peoples faces. A long while later the police showed up and turned out that the mom was siting in her car all along

They have done quite a bit of remodeling and I am hoping that they will open the pool in the near future...its a great place to go for a walk...

Decent place to exercise. Decent track, and stations with body weight machines. The west side smells like pee though. The mens restroom is filthy...only good for going pee. There is a homeless presence there

This place is apart of my life, kept me out of trouble by playing sports. They also feed the whole park breakfast, lunch and dinner in the summer.

This park has greatly improved from days of the past. It is far more safe and clean since the remodel years ago. There is a walking trail and exercise equipment

This park is much better than what it used to be back in the day. The residents in the area were pleasant and everyone spoke, which for some reason isnt common.

This park has gotten better than it used to be, while not perfect the field was not as clean as it could be however the overall condition was better than other parks in the area.

Good place to work out and walk

Came here for the first time in over ten years. The park looks peaceful now. Didnt see any gang presence as there once used to be. Just friends playing basketball, random guys exercises on the equipment (cool for dips, pull/chin-ups etc), and soccer teams practicing. There were a few homeless people on the side but thats almost expected at all parks (LAs homeless problem is getting worst).Its a cool park to exercise at if you happen to be in the area.

I love the friday night lights and all the kids activities! Its a great safe space in the neighborhood.

The park its ok. But if youre planning to enroll your kids for winter camp, summer camp or any other activities. Think twice, the new director is inapproachable , the fees are high in compare to others parks. If you enroll kids on camp get ready to buy extra camp shirts or use the same one every day.... not for my kiddos...we dont wear duty clothes and I dont have the time to wash everyday or the extra money to buy more shirts. Im very disappointed...also didnt have field trips.

Its a calm places you can go to relax. Sports are always happening

Pretty nice and clean park

Clean, well utilized sports area for people of all fitness levels. Now, all we need is the pool.

It is a good place

Only problem I have is that people let there dogs poop on the track . I see them leave it on the track. I always look down when I workout at Van Ness Park, dont wanna step on any poop and walk in my house.

Family Park with very green grass in the center of a busy intersection. Its like worlds apart.

I like to take my kettlebells up there and get a full body workout between running the field and all the bars they have for dips and pull-ups!
