First and foremost do not come without a can of raid or a bug swatter, the entire park was infested with hornets. The food area was spaced out from everything except the nest, we spent 50 dollars on food and threw it out after we sat down because we had hornets in my wifes lemonade and mine and my daughters fry ketchup cups. The hot tub area had three tubs, each of which had 12-15 kids, with minimal supervision (pool rules 5 per tub) the actual tubs had chunks of cement missing and filtration pieces floating about. The wave pool was pretty awesome and the waves were pretty large, but the wasps were in full spirit on that side of the park as well. The shipwreck area was nice as far as the structure went, no trash on the ground, but like the rest of the park we just could escape the bees. My daughter was stung on the arm sitting on the white lawn chairs prompting us to leave.

If you’re looking for a fun day with the family and it’s away from the hustle, this place is great. Clean, friendly and accommodating. Something for all ages here, comfortable and plenty of space with ample seating. Every staff person I came across was polite, professional, (but fun) and engaging. The life guards were on the ball and seemed focused on their job. Food was water park food, pizza, burgers, fries and salads. If you’re not into that, they allow you to bring your own food and drinks. (Non-alcoholic). Had a great day with the family, lots of laughs and great memories. Thanks Whale’s Tale Staff!

So much fun! Easy to find your kids. Clean and relatively inexpensive. They have food and drinks. Lazy river, wave pool and body boarding was the best. Will probably visit again. Plenty of parking.

Nice place for kids. It has a few water slides ,hot tubs and a lazy river. It could use a little more maintenance especially the hot tubs.

It was a great experience that has been made safe with COVID-19. Temperature checks before you get in the park, masks in certain areas and only a quarter of the people are allowed in. Made for a fun and safe treat on my vacation.

We love this place. We have been coming there since my oldest child was 3, she’s 15 now. Slightly disappointed with the reduced hours that started on August 24th. I don’t remember it being like that in years past. We didn’t have butler service at our cabana this year either. The cabana was $10 cheaper than normal but with a 2 hour earlier than normal closing time and no butler service it should have been less. The park opens at 10am but most of the rides don’t open until 10:30. We waited till almost 11 until the Banzai opened. Everything should be up and running when it opens.

We had a lot of fun! There are rides for all ages and risk tolerance. All the staff wear masks and the entire park is very well taken care of and clean. Ive never seen showers and bathrooms so clean in a water park before.

The park was fun but the bees were not. We spent so much money on a cabana and couldn’t even relax in it because bees were EVERYWHERE. It was very annoying to have to get up and run every few seconds. The hot tubs were also poorly maintained and paint came off on my husbands back. It’s fun but we probably won’t be back.

We love this place but reduced hours started this week but the price was the same. We rented a cabana like we have in the past number of years we have visited. The cabana was $10 cheaper but with no waitress service and the park closes 2 hours earlier than usual. Another problem that we witnessed was people using empty cabanas that weren’t rented. That isn’t fair to people who paid for them. We love the place and would always give it 5 stars but were seriously disappointed this year.

Amazing place for all ages and staff is awesome! Best part is being able to bring your own cooler with food and drinks (no glass allowed)!! Definitely keeps the price within a reasonable range! Plenty of things to do with a full bar for the adults to enjoy! Definitely recommend it!!

Couldnt give 5 stars because the womens showers were gross. Everything else was wonderful. Not too crowded because they limited the amount of patrons. Plenty of loung chairs for seating and no lines! The tiki bar was awesome. We had a blast.

My familu and I visited yesterday and I have to say we were not disappointed. It was easy (although pricey) to purchase tickets online as well as signing the waivers. The line to enter was fast and efficient. Everyone had their temp taken before even getting in line. Then we were throughly screened before entering. The staff as efficient and friendly.We rented a cabana and it was well worth it throughout the day. It gave us a place to store our things, a place to rest and it came in handy when it started to rain. Our server was so so sweet and was always around to check on us without being annoying. Even though she was always wearing a mask you could see the smile in her eyes. She made our day much more enjoyable and in the end we tipped her well. Please dont forget to tip these people, they work for their tips wearing a mask and a black outfit all day making multiple trips back and forth in the hot sun and heat. I can not be easy.The lines for the rides were not long and most people were great about keeping their distance. Everyone spread out throughout the park and when having to wait in line there were markers on the ground and up the stairs to the watersides. Every tube was sanitized after each and every person used it. This was done for the wave pool and each slide that required a tube.The bathrooms were remarkably clean. Never did a see a dirty toilet, changing area or even a piece of tissue on the floor. I was impressed.I have to say I was a little worried about enjoying a day at a waterpark during this whole pandemic. But I can tell you I was VERY happy that we went. The patrons were all happy just to be there. Everyone was friendly. And my hats off to the staff!! EVERY ONE of the staff were wearing masks (correctly) ALL of the time. Seeing them do so made me proud of the staff and management. Job well done Whales Tale! Thanks for an amazing day!

Oh my god absolutely amazing. So fun. We had a great time. Made so many friends. Absolutely fantastic. Food was delicious and we just had a blast! Very lovely cabanas. I would love to go again.

Had a great 4th of July, as good as it gets with the pandemic limitations/ regulations. The whales tale employees wore masks, spraying down the tubes between uses,, social distancing was easy to follow with the number allowed in. Also rented a cabana and had our own private waiter!! Customer service was great!

I went there the weekend of august 7th 2020 very nice park we had fun but I seriously injured my back on the speed slide I haven’t been able to walk properly for over a month the orthopedic doctor says I have a a pinched nerve and saiatica on my right side.

This water park is never a disappointment! Always clean and the staff are super friendly! We will visit again. Thanks staff for keeping everyone safe with this pandemic

Water was so cold we couldnt even force ourselves to stay. one of the workers said it was prob 40° . the park itself was clean and some really cool rides. kids were very excited to go, but devastated we couldnt stay.

It is a fabulous place it has a gift shop, it has food stand, it has a bar, it has dressing rooms. A good place to spend the whole day.

My kids love it there. The park has a little something for everyone and the setting is so picturesque!

Fair warning, we went during a reduced capacity time due to COVID-19. That being said there was a lot of room to spread out, there was a good variety of slides and activities for all ages and things were kept clean.

My husband says this is the best waterpark. There are many slides and even a surfing section. Fun for all ages.

We had a blast at the water park...there was hand santizer everywhere...tubes were being santized after each use..6 ft markers were placed on the stairs to wait for the water slides..and people wore their masks inside the changing rooms and bathrooms. I did feel as safe as I could at a waterpark. Would recommend not missing out in a fun water day!

I seriously injured my back on the waterslide that is a tube where the bottom falls out from underneath you. There is no warning about it either. I love rides of all types, ride motorcycles and play hard, but this slide is jarring and dangerous. Please if you have any back issues at all dont go on it. Youll regret it.

Cabana rental process needs some attention, assign them it shouldnt be a free for all. Butler service in Cabanas is to be desired. However overall great small water park with some great slides to keep the kiddos busy.

Sweet little retro waterpark in the White Mountains. Good for families or groups of homies looking to party. Theyve got some rowdy waterslides, a wave pool, kids area, big water jungle gym style things, a few bars, and an Akua wave too.

It was a little cool that day, but that meant no lines! The staff is really fantastic with the kids. Lots of good water features. We went with a group, and enjoyed the very generous group rate. In particular, Id like to commend the young man who was running the surfing thing in the late morning. He was amazing, and with no line, my two got personal attention.

As much as its important to still get out and enjoy summer with your family, I was disappointed with whales tale. There wasnt social distancing due to the fact that there were too many people. The park may say they are operating at less capacity but we were all pretty much on top of one another waiting in lines for slides etc. The wave pool was busy at all times. Not every tube is resanitized before being used again (yes I was paying attention) The staff were all friendly until my youngest son and I waited an hour for an order of fries and chicken tenders when others that ordered after us received their order before us. There was another gentlemen that had the same issue as me. So I wasnt the only one. Yes, we did have a good time. Yes, they do require masks to enter, and yes they do ask all the necessary questions covid related before entering the park. However, this wasnt worth the trip or our money and 10/10 would not go again. Even after covid has subsided.

Whales Tale water park is fun for everyone regardless of your age! We brought 4 children ages 5-13 and enjoyed a full day!

Its like a Canobie lake park of water parks. Easy and not crazy for all ages. Especially little ones.

Definitely needs updating. Its a smaller park, good for kids not adults. They were weed wacking and hitting everyone with blades of grass while on the lazy river, the staff didnt look older than 12. The park definitely needs some TLC. Plus the chemicals in the pool were so off.

Lazy river, kids pool, kid attractions and adult slides. Recommend your party is all over 48 inches but theres still plenty to do for the little ones

I loved this waterpark as a kid and I still love it now as an adult. I could spend everyday in the wave pool, castaway cove and the river. Infact I did so today. The view is also impressive. Seeing what remains of the old man of the mountain now, and all the surrounding mountains.

Such a great way to spend one on ine time with 7 year old!! We are having an awesome time!!!

A great little park, which did not disappoint in terms of excitement. We have done all the Florida water parks, plus others in Italy and Greece and this one stacks up very well. The place is professionally run, with good staff, clear signage and high levels of cleanliness.We took the after 2.00 pm pass at $30, which allowed us to play until after 5.00 pm since rides stop at 5.45 and the park shuts at 6.00. The park quietened during the afternoon, but the queues were never bad and we just got more and more rides in as the afternoon progressed.We ate before we arrived, so I can’t speak for food and drink, but we were allowed to bring our water bottles in and you return to your car with a hand stamp.There are enough rides to keep you happy, especially Eye of the Storm and Banzai Pipeline.This was one of the best experiences of our holiday.

The fact that they don’t refund money is absurd on its own but when bad weather is thrown in the mix it just adds to the frustration. We paid online 2 days in advanced when the weather was supposed to be decent for that day. But since it’s New England obviously the weather changes. If the weather for that day was sunny and 80 degrees we would have happily went, but the weather was cloudy and 65. And we didn’t want our toddler running around soaked in that weather. She was already developing a cough from being up in the mountains. It was on the last day of our vacation and we live pretty far way. All they would offer us was tickets for a different day. After what seemed like a eternity of explaining the situation, all we got was a email address to express our concerns too. This was pathetic customer service. I get it’s a “ policy” but that policy is a dated excuse and is inconvenient. We will not be attending whales tale in the future nor will we recommend them to anyone we know.

Fantastic day with overall decent weather. Thankful we didnt pay extra to reserve a Cabana. Umbrella areas with lounge chairs were larger size for our group.Price for a Group Event was very worth it

The park itself isnt bad. Theres a lot of things to do and its fun, but they need to hire people who are responsible, especially the life guards and people who send customers down the slides. Next time if we do end up going again, and things are better, Ill change my review. For now though, its 2 stars.

Great water park for family and kids of all ages. The park is small so you cant get lost but there is plenty to offer for everybody. The lines can be a little long on some of the rides. Easy to find off of the highway and there is plenty of parking without a long walk. I highly recommend bringing everything you need because it can be expensive. Lockers are $6 with a $12 deposit so just use your car to store stuff instead.

My husband, my 3 children under 10 myself came here after 2pm. We assumed it would be less crowded and we only needed a few hours. The tickets were discounted after 2pm so that was a great perk! My kids had a blast. It was not super crowded. The drinks at the Oasis bar were fantastic!! We left by 5:30pm. It was plenty of time for us.

Crowded yet ample lounge chairs. Very clean in the middle of the day. REMARKABLE! Long yet fairly quick moving lines. Our 2 grandsons had a blast. Lots to do for them.Overall, excellent experience!

We had a wonderful time spending the day here. Beforehand staff was great at answering questions over the phone and on FB messenger. It is a family park with very fun water rides and plenty of attentive staff on hand to ensure safety for everyone. They allow you to leave and come back and even allow coolers, which was a lifesaver due to a gluten allergy! All of the rides had minimal lines and the park was clean. They have a great gift shop, a bar, and some food options. Our favorite was the Banzai, Akua Beach (surfing), and the wave pool. I saw a staff member on the surf machine notice a girl having trouble and then asked her if she was left handed, she was, then switched her to the otherside! Thats unbelievably attentive and remarkable. At another point a large woman tried to body board and it caused a bit of a backlog of water on the ride making it difficult for the rider on the other side. The staff immediately noticed and turned the machine off. They all had a good sense of humor and some are exceptional at showing off their surfing and also very patient showing others. The day we were there they had a DJ on the stage playing great music and having games for people to win prizes. The only thing I hope the park considers changing in the future is give the lazy river a little more umph with current and better filter system, but as it is is fine. Also, a changing area directly across from the showers near gift shop would be great. I showered then dried and changed in shower which was a bit trying. We had a great day, we definitely recommend making the trip to anyone and cant wait to go back again!

We love It here and go every year on my son’s birthday!! It’s small, clean, the rides are fun and everyone is friendly. And, coolers and outside food is allowed. My ONLY negative was the food place. We ALWAYS bring our own food so I’ve never had to deal with going in there before. This past time we went (end of July) I packed my cooler and forgot it....so I was forced to buy food. We waited in line for over 10 minutes for chicken fingers....there seemed to be only one person at the fryers. It wasn’t a huge deal but slightly annoying. But, they also advertise that they offer salads and wraps. There weren’t any in the cooler so I asked two different girls if they had any salads. They both told me no (they had some set aside for the camps and that I understood). I asked if it was possible for someone to make me one and again was told no. The thing is: I couldn’t eat ANYTHING else because I have Celiac’s and I explained this to both girls. They both just kind of shrugged and said sorry. I would have appreciated it if they got a manager or someone to assist me. When I asked for one I was told they didn’t think she was around. It’s my fault for not bringing my food but because I forgot it I had to go without. Other than that though I’ve never had a bad experience and will be back (with my own food this time!)

When we visited in 2018 it had gone downhill and was not very clean like it has used to be.

My 5 year old and two year old were able to have fun together in Whale Harbor. The whole family floated together on the lazy river. The higher parts of shipwreck island were a bit too much for my 5 year old. The staff was nice, attentive and helpful. We had a full afternoon and we are looking forward to when the kids are older and we can try more of the rides.

Great place for family of all ages. We have been coming to Whales tale for YEARS. Its a clean family friendly water park. Free parking and free TUBES! AWESOME place and we will be back every year.

Great little water park up in the Whites! Nice grassy areas to park your gear for the day too. The park as a whole is a solid 4*.Dont try to go to the burger place near closing though, I wont ever go again. Staff are complacent, rude and resistant to cooking anything. They also locked the doors with my 12 y.o.son inside and refused to allow me back in to help carry the order out -- stating that he should have gotten a tray

Great place to cool off during the summer. Its relatively small but loads of fun. There is the single rides which are great fun, including a vertical drop ride. :O. There is also the water castle (boat. I just like to call it the water castle :)), which has some smaller slides as well.Whats better is you can BRING YOUR OWN FOOD (except for any glass which is reasonably banned in the park).We are TOTALLY getting back their asap and YOU SHOULD TOO!

Short lines, clean park, friendly staff, reasonable admission with NH discount, and stiff drinks. What more can you ask for? Our family of three had a great time. Highly recommend.

Get the cabana! Its so totally worth it if you can swing it. Especially for those of us who turn crispy in more than 5 minutes of sun. The food is totally mediocre, but as expected, and you can bring a picnic in if you want to. The staff is friendly and the lifeguards are clearly well trained - and plentiful. Awesome options for everyone, from slides to a wave pool to a lazy River. Even a surf/bodyboarding wave. We all had a blast! Did I mention the cocktail service at the cabanas?

What is a better way to cool off in the summer then here. The park is always clean, and food is amazing. Great rides, and even a lazy river. There shop is fairly priced, and if you forget something they have it. The also have locker retails. It is worth it for spending a day, and you want to.

Small but lots to do. Usually not crowded , they have a bar for adults and prices are reasonable especially for a water park. The setting with the mountains around you is pretty cool. They also have lots of chairs and shade trees if you get hot.

I cant get enough of this place. Not very far, staff are friendly and there is plenty to do. Spend the extra money on a cabana as the reserves space is absolutely worth it!!

Loads of fun for the whole family. Pack a lunch or get some there. Great burgers and really good pizza. The rides are great. Lazy river is relaxing and the eye of the storm is heart pounding fun! Clean facilities also!

Very happy with this water park and a pleasant surprise. Took the family here for fathers day and they asked if I was a dad then did not charge me the $30 admission fee. It was a very pleasant surprise and I thought very nice gesture. Things were in good repair, rides/slides were fun and my kids had a blast. It was nice that at least one large pool was heated too.

We go every year. Family fun, safe and something for everyone. Water slides, wave pool, learn to surf and an outdoor bar.

Over all, it was fun and enjoyable. Little bit on the pricey side for something that is just a water park though and has no other rides. The food is good, but again a little pricey. There are aome nice scenic view points from the slide towers, too bad my phone/camera arent water proof. I would recoment this place to others. Just be prepared to spend money.
