A wonderful city park on the Popo Agie river. Free camping for three days, clean and green, playgrounds for the children, bike paths and hiking trails: an ideal starting point to explore this nice city and the surrounding area. Thank you Lander!

Was a beautiful, breezy day. Temps were good for football. Clean park, grandkids loved it.

Such a great park for kids & families. So clean with mature trees and a quality playground area. Ive camped here a few times years ago while climbing in the nearby areas.

We picked up lunch at McDonalds during Covid19 so we needed a place to eat as we were passing thru. We googled parks and found this one. The kids had a fun time on the playground and there were bathrooms and tables we could use. Lander is a very nice town too!

This park was a little slice of heaven for my kids. The engaging playground to running around the huge trees and splashing in the small creek was enthralling for my kids.

City Park in Lander has always been one of my favorite places. I remember the baseball games in the summer and ice skating in the winter. Ive always loved the events there and the entire community feels like one big family.

This was a great spot for an overnight stop. We parked right by the river under the big shade trees. Fresh drinking water, restrooms and lots of things for family. Plus its FREE

The ice skating rink is amazing though thede were some boys acting sketchy in the boys room! Also the snacks are amazing, and though it gets crowded, its still my favorite winter thing to do.

Loud due to activity well into the night, but an excellent park so well maintained and clean. Lots of nice amenities and variety.

Lander city park is a great spot to relax and let your kids play. Dog friendly as well. Nice park in a out of the way spot.

This park has always been a family favorite. Between playing on the play ground in the spring and in the creek in the summer my kids have always loved it. The only complaint is with the patrons of the park. Please respect the park and pick up after your dogs. With having kiddos playing and others camping the pets need to be picked up after.

Beautiful park. Staying three days for free awesome. The bathrooms needs hand dryers door latches fixed and stop flooding the floor as a method of sanitation.

Very dog and people friendly. Great place to pull over and take a walk after a long drive. Nice quiet and peaceful place. Plus free camping for 3 days. Loved it!

Great spot for a picknick.

Great stop with lots of shade for vehicles. Visitor center is next door and RV parking too. The mini golf was nice and affordable.

We stopped here to try out the skateboard park, and relax a bit while on vacation. This was well worth the stop! Nice, well maintained park, and the skate park is smooth and well designed.

Last week took the kids over to Lander to play for a bit. Early spring the park was neatly picked up. The kids had a blast playing on all the equiptment and the little western them town inside the park as well.Great place to get them out to burn off some of that energy instead of sitting home on a tablet or phone rotting their minds.

Camped here a couple of days while I sorted things with my bicycle. Free to camp for up to 3 days. Lander is an interesting town with a little bit of everything. The park is very nice, clean and well kept. Water and electric at the communal structures. I was just passing through riding across the country. Met a number of awesome people on their own adventures. Take care all.

Today at the Farmers market: live baby goats, yak meat, essential oil soaps, fresh breads, salsas, astounding hand thrown pottery, greens and sprouts galore, crafted cheeses, kombuchas, cookies, veggies, and more Not bad for a Saturday in June in Zone 4. ;)

Free overnight camping and just a lovely park. But please, if you have a large rv dont put your generators on, its just plain rude

One of the best parts of Lander, City Park events all throughout the year, festivals, ice skating/hockey. Great place for the family.

Great park to bring kids, especially after spending too much time in the car.

A free place to camp, for up to 3 nights. Very basic, no electric, just grass for the tents and a parking lot for everyone else. Lots of people sleeping in their cars, most young, mostly out-of-state. Lots of dogs wandering around without people attached. Despite this, it was a peaceful place to overnight while en route.

Id never walked through the trails at the park before because of the proximity to Sinks Canyon, but I only had about 30 minutes to kill, so I walked through the park with my doggo. What a great community asset! There were some well-maintained ball fields and tennis courts, some free camping areas (donations were suggested, and campers appeared to be quiet, clean, and respectful), a playground, and some walking trails along the Popo Agie.

One of the best parks in WY - the playground is surrounded by trees which provides plenty of shade!

Wish there was a place like this in my hometown! Neat place to pitch up your tent and spend the night on the comfy, well-groomed grass. Restrooms close by, tables, a water faucet to fill your bottles, a grill to cook on, an outlet to charge your devices and even a volleyball court! Camper heaven!!

Fantastic city park, lots of play areas for the kids and large, mature trees provide a lot of shade. Restrooms and pavilion. We watched the eclipse here and loved it!

Great wide open space for kids, dogs and adults to get out and move about. There are two baseball diamonds, two tennis courts, up to date playground equipment, basketball court and two gazebo areas which can be reserved. The Lions Gazebo is complete with multiple grills and area for serving food. Camping is allowed in the park but only for a limited time.

Best park for comfortable free camping! The river runs through the park. Lots of green space with huge cottonwoods and willows. They stage the international climbers festival at this park every July. We love it!

Smells funny. Scary bathrooms. Not a great place to cook. Great place for water.

If your heading to the YS & GT National Parks. Great place to water up, clean bathrooms, and absolutely fantastic kids playground in a western theme. Has a nice flowing creek with bike and walking trails. Thanks a million town of Lander.
