Super fun for birthday partys. The kids have fun the only thing is if the kid dont know how to skate they dont have those like skater Walker things to help the kid

I love Castle Skating. Took the kids and some of the family. Had a lot of fun even though I fell down lol. I had not been on skates for eons lol. The guys were so nice after I fell. Helped me out of my skates and even got my shoes for me. You guys rock!!!

Ive given a four star cause the food is pretty expensive BUT...I love the place I love the songs and I love how kids can play games and all I love the place a lot and the only thing that should get fixed or removed is the food area!

Slightly disappointing. There are a ridiculous amount of rules, and I understand that there must be some rules in order to keep things running smoothly, but some of the rules were obviously there just as a way to make more money. I had a fun evening but the place a was a little run down and the employees werent that friendly.

The place is clean which is good, but they have some truely awful rules. No outside food when all you sell is junk food. I sorry offer health options or allow food in. thanks.

I took skating lessons here with my brother in 1998 And we had a blast you get to play games while skating do the limbo theres an arcade theres food like pizza , snacks...alot of fun. I take my daughter now .

Fun for kids!

The kids love coming here! I havent skated in years, we all had a great time! I also enjoy that you can fill out slips for your child(ren) to win a 50 person skating party! They have free skate and interactive skate that you can win prizes (limbo, hokey pokey, YMCA, etc)! The staff is very helpful and attentive!

Great afternoon to spend as a family. Very good with beginners, and they provide nice breaks with games throughout.

Tuesday nights they play Christian music... thats very nice! Comfy rentals, clean facility, professional employees...we had a great time!

Great retro place to skate W the kids

I would give zero stars if I could. I use to go to the castle as a child and have found memories there of the all nighters and sock hops. I encourage my kids to go skating, almost weekly, and jokingly boast of skating to and from the castle instead of getting dropped off. We were there this past week on family night. All though there literally were only 20-25 guests I persuaded my children to want to stay and enjoy the music, fun isnt always in a crowd. We were approached by management who stated, singing is for songs such as the YMCA, but your children cant sing along to all the songs. Maybe one if they are excited about it. To me, skating is VERY similar to a dance floor, when you play good music people will dance/skate. Who skates in silence? Or doesnt sing along to one of their favorite songs?My kids were having fun, far from unruly, which is what I thought an establishment of entertainment was for.I will never send my kids here again!

Floor is in good shape. Facility is well maintained. Great place for a few hours of skating.

I want to thank the owner for two reasons. As a school teacher in the city I know first hand that this activity is a safe activity in a safe environment for all our children in our community. Thank you for being a place for children to come together with friends and socialize. With technology as it is today weve become couch potatoes and the rink is safe and active.The second reason I need to thank the owner and staff is for working with me to help my very own student plan his skating party. They were very accommodating with last minute details. You made me look like the super hero to my student. This is very important to our students and you helped me make a lasting impression on my student.I love my students and you and your staff helped me show it when you were so willing to meet their need.Thank you so very much Castle Rink staff.

I visited this establishment last evening with my two children. After walking in the door, I was a little unsure if we made the right decision. The crowd was mainly all teenagers, and the vibe we got was a little intimidating. There was a Constable not far inside the door, which definitely made me feel a little better. The Staff was extremely friendly and kind to each of us, which helped enormously. The behavior of the crowd was a little disturbing, but I will tell you this...the Staff and the Constable worked hand in hand to end ANY form of problem that was starting. A young group walked in and passed us while sitting on one of the benches. To say there was a strong odor of marijuana is an understatement. I was getting ready to say something to one of the Staff members, but the Constable walked by and approached the group almost immediately. I watched as he made them return their skates and leave the building. This wasnt the last time I saw him escort problematic actors out throughout the night. This place clearly has zero tolerance rules, which is great in my opinion. The focus is placed on keeping a family environment. The gentlemen working out on the rink were great at getting us to the center safely and back off when needed. I wish the Staff wore name tags so I could give them the credit due publicly. Snacks were tasty and the prices were reasonable. Girls in the cafe were friendly as well. The games also kept things entertaining.All in all, I can say we will definitely return. Maybe not on a Friday evening next time. A few patrons we talked with said that is the norm on this day. Keep up the great work! Our safety and satisfaction was for sure a top priority here.

The castle roller rink would be a pretty cool place to skate if it werent for their absurd skate policy.All skates must have a stopper, stopper cannot be black.No serious skater utilizes a stopper, let alone a non black stopper which is pretty much the standard stopper for rollerblades.This policy is a thinly veiled method of extorting a rental fee out of their customers on top of the cost to entry.If I could give zero stars I would.Update your policy castle, its 2019.

This was our first visit here and our grandchildren love it.

The Castle has always been a favorite place to skate. I went for the first time since I was a kid, and it was just how I remembered it! The staff was very friendly (and patient) with me and my kids - theyve never skated before.

Beautiful roller skating rink, I actually went their to take roller skating lessons with Kenny and Sylvia! Lessons were great, they were very instructional, patient with me and made me feel very comfortable!I’d recommend the Castle and for those who need to learn how to roller skate ask for Kenny and Sylvia!!

All the one star statements are completely justified I have never seen so many rules and policies at a skating rink in all my life. It seems to me that force u to rent. They made me take my skates back to the car I chose not to skate at all letting my family skate because I refused to use the rental. Also you can only skate backwards at approved times and u cant skate to fast. I could say alot more but Im just wasting my time this is my first 1 star review and I will not be back. Skate at mount gretna or overlook.

Nostalgic fun, simple but enjoyable concessions. Prices not too high at all. Great for families. My daughter is always excited to go. Great for elementary school age birthdays. My daughter just turned 10 and she still talks about her 7th birthday that we had there.

Its was so fun

Never ever change. This place makes me nostalgic for Golden Skate in Vancouver, WA because when done right these places are all the same. They stopped changing in 1985 and thats for the best. We usually only go for school events, but the skates are in good shape, the music is as expected and we always have a blast.

Clean facility with a fast concrete floor. Staff is nice and was helpful with tips for my kids.

Nice small simple roller skating rink. Great for kids learning how to skate. My 6 year old attended a birthday party here and every one had fun even though they were all new to skating. Fun atmosphere. They have skating games with prizes to help mix things up. Kid friendly music, with Christian music on some nights.

Rules are still from the 90s... Absolutely ridiculous , $2 for a small bottle of water and you cant bring in your own. And the rules for bringing in your own skates are even more ridiculous , it makes skating less fun and less safe. There is no good place for beginners or kids. Also the staff skating around have a serious complex and need to focus on safety not being a tough guy.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I came here with my dad, 12 year old sister, and other family members. I am 21 but was told I couldn’t enter unless I put skates on because I am not a parent. I am only in town for a week so I came to spend time with my dad and family. Apparently you can’t enter unless you have children or are skating. I bought the skates and sat down with my family while the kids skated. After about 30 minutes I was then told that I needed to put the skates on my feet. Mind you, we were not bothering anyone, just sitting down talking. We will not be back again. The manager was not understanding of a family simply trying to have a good time.

Just had my daughter Birthday there. Staff was awesome as was the manager that took my call set it up a week prior to the date. Thank she had a blast will come back like always as this was her second Bday party held there an like always was fun. Thank you again to all the staff.

Always loved this place as a child. Now bringing my children here, its still awesome. Brings back so many memories. 34 and still putting the skates on!!

If your looking for a nice skating rink this place is awesome concrete polished floor friendly staff had a good time lots of young kids and family but great place for kids other than getting in trouble also if your bored on a sunday and want a sunday funday I was impressed to see that they were open from 2- 8 PM had a great time and will enjoy skating their again soon

Zero stars from me.First time at the castle and our last one. Your rudeness and greed showed at its best this past Sunday October 14, 2018.A lot of what this manager posted before my post, was to make himlook good, making excuses and did not take responsibility for being so rude to others.He has much to learn. Parents do take their kids where they are treatedright.Not a very good experience. Not returning.

A friend won a free roller skating party so we got to go for our first time and it was a blast!!! We had a lot of fun not super packed,music for all ages,plenty of lockers for storage ,nice place in the middle designated for new skaters still learning,small arcade and concession area to occupy you otherwise when not skating,clean, and friendly staff.

Great place to take the kids and skate. The staff is awesome and really get everyone involved in the music and activities. Id say its fairly cheap as well! Food and small arcade are an added bonus.

Over priced!!!!! Do not eat or drink here. Small cup (about 6oz) fountain drink is $1.25. And you know they fill with ice before filling with drink.Dirty! Skates smell like mildew.I watched how they cleaned the skates before putting them away. 1 quick spray of disinfectant spray, most of the back heel got spray nothing for the toe area. Handling food without gloves!!!!!1 outlet to charge your phone in the snack bar area hidden under the table. Fully charge phone before going.

Large skating ring and other games to play also. Bring your own roller skates or roller blades is cool too..!

Went to a holiday party here. Staff was great, helping with little ones on the rink. Very friendly and helpful. Didnt stay long enough to eat any of their pizza or food

My son and I love this place. I think it is a nice place to take your child if they like to skate. Stay away from Saturday nights that is teen night. My kid is not a teen. Teenagers can be a little extra. Over all love this place.

Its ok was there for a birthday party which was awful alot of rules to follow but thats understandable.

Too over crowded they should probably stop taking in customers at an alarming rate its to the point were you cant skate without running into the person 1 in front of you

Nice Place Enjoyed Skating

My sons went there for a party. If I am being honest it was a little on the gross side. Dead bugs and all around dingey. The snacks are questionable at best and it the staff members are a little clueless. The party guy didnt even show up to let anyone in until 15 minutes after the party was scheduled to start

In response to the owners reply:It is very seldom that I leave a negative review, so as guest, it was a poor experience. Being in the hospitality industry for more than 18 years, guest experience and perception is everything. As a guest and consumer, I dont need to know how much she paid or how much she would have paid for this or that and I dont think its appropriate that you post that information for all to see! I didnt receive a copy of the letter because, as a guest, it was none of my business. All I have is MY experience and the experience of the other guests. How uncomfortable EVERYONE was after the ice cream was taken from someone who didnt know it wasnt allowed. Of course your not going to allow outside food when you can make more money on it! And as for a fee for reserving a room for the potential of having a paid birthday party, there were two other rooms completely empty, lights off, no other parties happening.Guest perception and experience is everything and the way you chose to handle your response just adds to the negative perception.Thankfully, he and his friends has a great time and theyre too young to know the difference.Very sad and disappointing. A family member won afree party for 50 and decided to use it for a childs birthday party. After getting the information, the only free thing is admission. So you pay for skates, pay for the party room, pay for food, nickle and dime you for Every. Last. Thing! They asked if they would announce the childs birthday and they said no. They only do that for birthday parties. They asked how much it would be to add that and they said no, they dont do that. You cant bring anything other than cake. Another family member brought cupcakes and ice cream and the guy came in and TOOK THE ICE CREAM! How can you not allow ice cream? Told them they cant have ice cream, but he was nice enough to put it in the freezer for us. All the kids were asking for ice cream then of course.After skating for a little bit, I went to the concessions and asked for a cup of water... $.50! For what?!?! So I asked if I could have a larger cup. I was told they are only allowed to do small cups (8 or maybe 10 ounce cup, not a 16 ounce as the owner is trying to say and not even full and like 4 ice cubes). So I asked if I could come back for a refill then and I was again told no. Working in the food industry, I know those cups only cost $.02 each, there is no reason to charge that much for a small cup of water!Its just a shame, it takes away from the customer experience. Simple things could be done differently and make a better experience for your guests. Instead, greed is taking precedence over guest experience. Its been years since we were there last and today I was reminded why we didnt and wont go back again. Great scam with the Free party for 50!

Year round family fun

Highly unkempt establishment, way too many kids who had no idea how to skate, incredibly lax security, dirty bathrooms and no refunds. 10/10 would not do again.

It was terrible!! They only accept a $15 credit card charge or more which is just plain stupid. Also children who dont even skate with a party still have to pay admission. They test you like youre at a club they have a bouncer and the admission lady was behind glass. They also seperated me from family and wouldnt let go with them. Overall it was a terrible expirence and I would go again let alone pay money to go.

The session started at 8pm and we were still standing outside in the cold at 830. This is how slow they were to get people in. They took you in one at a time to check your skates. We left and wont be going back.
