Great course in phenomenal shape. The course consists of Bent grass greens, Bermuda grass fairways, and clean brilliant bunkers. There is a driving range and putting green as well. The golf carts are gas powered. The cart paths are very wide and are concrete throughout the course. Each hole is marked clearly with the distance on nice stone pillars.The course meanders through scenic surroundings, tucked right in nature. There are beautiful views on every hole. The lake can be seen on a couple of holes. The course is friendly and challenging.Mike is a very kind member of the staff! Great job! Well maintained!

A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere South Carolina! Beautifully kept and wonderfully laid out, its challenging and rewarding at the same time. The bent- grass greens are a nice change of pace (so many courses going to Bermuda varieties), but can be tricky to navigate. Worth the drive!

Course condition, layout and staff were really great. Unbelievable value for the cost and everything - even lunch was legit. Better than most and we will return.

I want to start by saying This review reflects the whole experience at the course and not the course itself. First I will start with the pros: Great conditon! Have played here a couple times recently. Nice layout as well! Greens were in good shape.Recent experience: We had a Tee Time at 410 PM. We arrived early around 340, checked in, and we were told a foursome had headed to the tee to play another 9 or 18 because there were no afternoon tee times. There were also two singles ahead of us, I am not sure of their tee times. Needless to say, hey no big deal, our tee time isnt actually until 410. So we head to the putting green to wait which was nice as well. This is where the cons start.Like I stated above we were there and ready to go by 340. Also due to the fact that they allowed the foursome to play again caused us to actually tee off at around 430. 20 mins after tee time.The next 2 and a half hours may have been the most painful 9. Waiting on a 2some and foursome that shouldnt have been in the way, at least the 4some.Eventually they both were done after 9 and we played the back extremely quickly. This next part may have been the most frustrating.I consider edgewaters cart fleet to be one of the nicer ones around, but the cart we had backfired 15+ times during the round causing both of us to react and clinch our neck and shoulders in the reaction. Eventually we were immune to it by about backfire 7 or so.In conclusion, The course is in great shape and I will play again there. Unfortunately it seemed every delay and issue possible happened there on this day recently.

Course was in immaculate shape! Greens held good shots... even well struck long irons and they putted true! Awesome layout with wonderful elevation changes. Challenging holes interspersed with scoring holes. Good shots rewarded and bad shots penalized! Will definitely play there again... and again... and again.

Visited SC and decided to give this course a try. Hands down one of the best courses I ever played. Short, but challenging. Beautiful scenery and great staff

First of all, the fairways, bunkers, and trees were in excellent condition. The greens were inconsistent mostly because there was a maintenance guy going around and turning on the sprinklers on some holes. Some were also bumpy due to spikes and people not repairing their ball marks (please dont be that guy). The cart I was in was fine, but the other guys in our group had one that would backfire at least once a hole. Overall, this is a great layout and I would definitely like to play here again.

The golf course is very nice. I gave a 3 because there is no excuse for vandalism in broad daylight. I had my Corvette damaged by someone who used a wedge to hit the spoiler on the trunk. Of course the GM told me they aren’t responsible although no signs posted to that effect. He said they get some “rough customers “ that live near by. Just a warning to not drive a nice car there. If you do be very careful.

I’m a new golfer, but I had a wonderful time at Edgewater Golf Club. It’s a beautiful course with lake views and rolling hills. It’s a hidden gem tucked away in quiet Lancaster. Friendly staff, clean new carts, meticulously maintained grounds. Im definitely going back.

The course has a fun, moderately difficult layout. Fairways were in good condition, but the greens were horrible, making it difficult to score. Priced fairly.

In the middle of no where and extremely difficult from the tips. Tee boxes could have used some TLC. Would definitely play again.

We were able to stumble on Edgewater Golf Club and what luck we had. The course was in excellent shape and the price to play was very reasonable to someone used to paying New York Metropolitan area prices. Greens and fairways were almost perfect although sand traps didnt show me any southern hospitality-haha. We will definitely play this course again when we head south for the winter. Thank you to the staff that was very helpful and pleasant to deal with.

Ill Give This Rating in sections:Amenities: The Pro Club is not exactly a Pro Club although it gets the job done. They have the normal products but you can tell there is always an actual professional available. A good thing to have at any course.Course: The only negative I have about this course is the color. Thats all I can ACTUALLY find as a negative. The course should be way more photographic than it is but Edgewaters best holes seem a little dry. The course itself is manicured to great lengths, even while playing the groundskeepers were working but still retaining golf etiquette and allowing everyone to play comfortably. The rough is actually a rough length cut, lush enough to be difficult to hit out of, an actual punishment of missing the fairway. The greens are normal Bermuda, but the greens dont have too much slope so are pretty simple to read.Layout: The layout is where this course shines. The trees line nearly every hole. The starter told me that once you start playing youll never see another group the entire round. He was not lying, it seems like youre the only group playing and that means from sight and sound. A really well designed well layout makes this a great golfing experience.Overall: This place is a hidden gem and I mean hidden, after a few turns you get way out on some strange and winding roads but its worth the drive. Their value is less expensive than what this course is worth compared to higher price courses around the same quality. If you dont play here youre doing yourself a tragedy, will definitely be returning.

This place is the best bargain around. You have to ride a pregnant horse there, so you have a way back though. Its in the middle of nowhere. The course is great! Least busy, best course by far in the area. Be ready for a 5 hour round though. Just takes a while to get around the track. Great place!

Played here for the first time on the day after Thanksgiving. Got a call from Chuck a couple days before and advised of a possible frost delay and to call before to see if our tee time would be affected. Excellent customer service - fortunately no delay. What a fantastic course - beautiful view of pine trees and and rolling terrain. At times reminded me of Sequoyah National the mountain course near Cherokee, NC. Fairways were great and greens were perfect. Bent grass on greens and Bermuda in fairways. Loved it and will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience.

Great course , always in good shape.

Another nice course in the Lancaster area. Courteous staff, always helpful and friendly. My only complaint before was the lack of screened sand in the bunkers, but they have fixed that. Bent greens which are receptive, but sneaky fast. Off the tee you have options, but it puts a premium on placement. You wont overpower this course. Doglegs in both directions. No repetitive holes, each has its own character. Lots of elevation changes.

Staff is always helpful and fun. This is my favorite course around the South Charlotte area. Its a must play and definitely worth the drive.

Found on google on our way south from Toronto to Augusta for the Masters. Nice course, forgiving enough for me (beginner-intermediate) and challenging enough for my man who is quite good. The people who work here are fantastic. Pure hospitality and genuine care for each and every person who walks through the door. For spring, the greens are in incredible shape. Would love to be able to play here in the height of the summer.

Edgewater is a treat. If you are in the Charlotte area (South) this is a hidden gem. I mean literally hiddenas it is deep in the sticks. Well worth the ride. Enjoy!

Good golf course layout. 4/13/18, the pro shop staff said, 2.5 hours is normal for 9 holes(after waiting for 8 of 9 holes on front side). Not a crowded day. That attitude will keep me from coming back.

Love his course, have been coming here once a month since they opened but just had a bad experience and not happy with way staff handled it. I booked as single at 830 on Friday morning. Starter put me with twosome in front of me. One of the guys was cursing throwing his club yelling, etc. I did not have a good time as a result. I did not want to seem rude so I waited until 9th hole was done then made up an excuse and left I went to pro shop to explain what happened and asked for a rain check, and they said no because I booked on GOLF Now app.

A very nice golf course. It was water logged on the day we played and the greens were not cut but apart from that a great experience. Staff were very friendly. Course is short but scenic and definitely requires you to shape some shots.We had trouble finding the course so make sure you have the right address. Def worth a visit if you are in the area.
