First time in my life, I just wanted to try it out and let me tell you a little about the range... Im still in my game plan for the next few days until I get to go back, its therapeutic and relieved stress I had mentally and physically. The man who attended was just a great host and preparing my gear was very informative. The welcoming ambiance all the way to the shooting correctly was top notch assistance. Awesome time. Gotta go back soon

I can’t wait to come back! I have never touched a bow in my life but within my hour Tina got me to not only hit the target but hit yellow! 10$ for an hour,they lend you the bows,and they show you what’s what?! Sounds too good to be true but it’s legit!

Helpful, funny, and amiable people! I had lots of fun! The workers made me feel super comfortable esp since it was my first time using a bow and arrow. 10 bucks an hour is a great deal to try something new. Will be returning for sure!

This is a family run shop that is very friendly and helpful with all of your archery needs.This is a great place for beginners to learn archery.They have Wednesday and Thursday night league meets on their 20 yard indoor range.

The owner, Terri was extremely friendly and very funny. Her instructions were very helpful and my girlfriend and I improved our skills easily within the hour. We will definitely be coming back!

John is super knowledgable and friendly. My son bought a bow from him 3 years ago and I was impressed with the bow and quality of service. My son had been bugging to get into archery so I shopped around and after weighing the options John had earned me as a customer with his combination of knowledge, patience, customer service and very reasonable prices. He helped me select equipment that suited my needs and when I left the shop, my bow was set up and has performed flawlessly for five months now.

I drove out from Oxnard to go to this store and it was more then worth it! The BEST place to go for beginners! They answer questions, give cheap lessons and are very concerned with safety. Plus, they wont push you on high priced bows.. a great way to start a new hobby!

Ive been going to this place for the past 2 years cause its the only Archery place out here. Anything you want to do to your bow becomes an argument if John doesnt agree with it, even ordering things for your bow is a problem. His wife Terri is very rude, Ive seen her chase people out the door with her attitude. Johns daughter Tina is very nice, she is the only one that treats the customers with respect at all times. The owner John and his wife Terri are condescending, and disrespectful, the other shooters I met are good friendly people.

My daughter is being taught here how to shoot archery here. The classes are afoot affordable and the customer service outs amazing

They people who run it are very knowledgeable and just flat out nice people. They have everything you need and want, including shooting range. Fair prices as well. Five starts!

I dropped my bow off to be recabled 5 weeks ago. John told me that he didnt have the cables, but it would take a couple of weeks to get them. Two days ago, he admitted that he had the cables all along but he hadnt yet fixed the bow. He kept telling me he needed more time.After 5 weeks, I picked up the bow - still unrepaired. He couldnt even say Im sorry. Maybe he just didnt know how to begin to install the cables, but you would think that he would have admitted that in the beginning.You can practice archery in Lancaster legally in your own back yard as long as the arrow doesnt leave your property. I taught myself starting at age 7. Its not rocket science and the instructions are on the net.I rate H&W archery 1/2 star for customer service and the rest you can do yourself, so they are a waste of your time and money.

Ive been to several different ranges around socal, H&W by far has best prices and friendliest environment. Not only the owners but the people who are shooting are all friendly. Some of the other places i go the staff will push whatever they make most profit from on you. And the archers act so full of themselves they cant waste the time of day to be pleasant let alone offer anything at all. Normally i wouldnt even care whos around me but when it comes to a range its nice to have good people around. At H&W its a Friendly environment , good prices, and clean.
