The front 9 was very enjoyable and was very quiet between the trees. The back 9 seemed to be very narrow and was pressured by houses on either side of the fairway. By the time you leave the houses, it was so wet that they couldnt mow the fairway and it was an unplayable par 4. Price was great and the workers there were more than welcoming. Would still play it again.

Nice course in a nice neighborhood. A little tight on the back nine. In decent condition for January. Some water and quite a few trees. Because its a neighborhood course, it was quite crowded and a little slow. But I did like the course and would golf here again.

Really enjoyed the layout of this golf course. The greens and fairways are well taken care of. I really liked the feeling you get with its wide open spaces. Play flow is easy to follow. I am thankful for the low levels of the water hazards. Was able to retrieve several of my many poor shots. The price is right as well.

Very nice 55+ community. Very decorative around Christmas time. And dont forget to visit or feed the cows when you are here.

Been working out here in schalamar for individual residents since 2002. Beautiful place lots of amenities just waiting for covid-19 be over so they can open back up

Great 55 and older community. Well maintained and full of activities and things to do. Pet friendly and lots of ponds and lakes to sit and enjoy the view. Tennis courts, two swimming pools, exercise room, on site resturant and bar. Plus many more great things makes this both a home and a destination to be proud of. Oh and a executive 18 hole golf course....

My family had my aunts 90 birthday party there and it was great! The people who helped with the food and drinks were wonderful! Great hospitality!! And the place was very clean and beautiful!!

Excellent shape right know. Had issues with the starter for the second time this month. Confronted pro shop and handled professionally.

You cannot beat this price at this course. We decided to pick up another day of golf and were lucky to get an online price of $20!!! Not only was the price great, so was the price of beer!!! Nice course with a good variety of holes. The place was hoping by the time we finished as they were having a pool party at the clubhouse. Reminded me of my parents winter place in North Port back in the day.

The fairways are narrow, so your tee shots should be straight forward down the fairways. There are lots of issues with standing water on the course where the water has no place to go. Greens are in fair condition, but all in all its a fun course to play on and I would love to play it again in the future. I was confused when I seen the Starter Ranger wearing a black and white referees shirt and all he kept saying was stay on the cart path please. Which became irrating because if the standing water had proper drainage system it wouldnt be an issue. I think the concept of floating golf balls at the driving range is a great idea and is a great way to shot golf balls into the water on purpose. If you have never played here, you should because it will challenge your abilities

Played 18 here today, sat Mar 23, the second time Ive played here in the last year. It is phenomenal. Beautiful in every way, cart paths nice, not broken up, carts new, smooth quiet, fairways perfect, greens perfect and tee boxes perfect. Every bunker has soft white sand, edges razor sharp, rakes on every side, ball washers and water on many holes, out of bounds markers bright red and visible. Very challenging course. Strategically placed water and creeks in lots of places. Most shallow so some balls are retrievable. Hole 16 in the back of the woods is one of the most beautiful Ive seen anywhere. Slightly narrow fairways. Every flag is bright and visible from far away. This course is meticulously maintained. The rangers ride around to check on things and the pro shop and restaurant staff is friendly and helpful. No snoot attitudes here. I will be back real soon with friends to play. Today was a 10 weather wise also, that helped. Plus I shot a 84, so Im stoked too, hence the great review. Lol. Highly reccommend

We went to the restaurant for the first time last night for the all you can eat fish fry. We made a reservation for 8 . When we got there , no greated us, all we were told was to not block the waitresses way to the kitchen. We found our table ourselves and waited more than 30 minutes for the waitress to take acknowledge us and take our drink order. The fish was very good but the wait was too long. When we ordered more fish we waited another 20 minutes.This is not the first time they have had all you can eat fish and should have had extra staff on to properly serve and attend to the customers, especially when reservations have been made, they knew that it would be a full house.Another group of our friends was also there at the same time and when they ordered more fish they were told that there was no more .

Public golf course located in a retirement community. Tight and on the shorter side. Good amount of hazards and water. Fairways were nice, but the greens were bumpy. Lots of local play and occasional tournaments.

Im baffled by the high rating this course has. The fairways are too narrow with mobile homes very close by. We waited all day long at every hole. Sometimes 3 groups were at the tee box waiting. The marshals did nothing to speed things up. Dont play here unless you have 5+ hours to kill.

Some things need to change..... Just because you are old and think you are all that doesnt mean you dont stop at a STOP sign. I have been in there to visit my stepdad and almost got hit. That go for the golf carts also

Im a resident of Schalamar Creek. It gets my highest recommendation for a golf community in FLA. A wonderful place to live.

Need renovations on facilities and upgrade on electronic equipment other from that the place is beautiful and clean.

Nice place to live, my son is moving to schalamar creek. I found it very neet and tidy, lots of activity s, a busy community pool, golf course, stable, tennis courts, nice resturant. We were served a great lunch. Lots of golf carts on the roads, with friendly folks. Residence are mostly seniors. Do not know if there are age restrictions.

Homes were ok, lot rents were up there.

This course is well maintained and beautiful. A very relaxing day of golf. I liked it so well, me and the wife are heading out there now.

For the price, the course was great shape. Highly recommend it.

First off, one staff member in their restaurant was extremely rude and arrogant, I still dont know why.Secondly, I used the mens room and the last stall was absolutely covered in feces, by some sick individual. I WENT AND TOLD THE PRO SHOP, (Trying to be helpful) to help from others seeing it and was told Thank you sir, we will get right on that. After my front nine, I went back to the restroom, and guess wha, nothing had been done and even after I finished the round 4 house later... still a mess. Way to get right on that.Lastly, the course was in decent shape except for the greens. These were the saddest greens I have played on in years. I understand they had to aireate, but most greens had very little grass, and some of them were so bare they looked like they had sand bunkers in them. The greens were filled with weeds and wild grass. They even put a pin right in the middle of a patch of weeds on the green, so you HAD to putt thru it.Schalamar staffers if you dont believe me, check #12 pin position you will find a pin in the weeds, check the bathroom in the clubhouse, I bet its STILL NASTY, and you know about your greens already, but thanks for allowing me to pay full price for your adventure.I wouldnt go there again if they gave me a free lifetime membership!Get it together Schalamar!There was one good thing though, they helped my handicap father to the range, so thanks for that the Ranger who did it.
