Let me say first and foremost that the performances that are put on in this building are phenomenal. The students are incredibly dedicated to the arts, and it shows. Highly recommended you see a performance here. What isnt good is the state of the building. It is quite literally falling apart and looks like a dump compared to the rest of the campus. Its amazing URI has put so much money into new buildings and old building renovations, but hasnt bothered to do anything about the Fine Arts Center. The students, and the arts program in general, deserve better.

Excellent production of the musical A Little Night Music, by a large and very talented cast. It reenforced my conviction that Rhode Island is one of the Best places in the country for theater of any kind.

The Recital Hall here has excellent Acoustics and some of the best music in Southern New England can be heard here. The building itself is terribly out-dated and in need of repair as are the parking facilities. But it is a great place to learn to do good music good art and good theater.

Do love my professors, but the building needs alot of updating. Just allow the Art majors to decorate we will do great !

A good venue for the campus

I think its a really good experience also nice to lesson to really good music.

Excellent performances inside, despite a run-down exterior building.

As far as collage fine arts buildings go this is one of the worst ever. It is made of concrete and looks and feels like a prison. There is falling concrete and loose chunks on the walls. The walls have exposed rebar and the light loft needs work bad. It is the biggest eyesore on the whole URI campus.

A fantastic venue for music and theater

Despite its outward appearance, the quality of what the students create inside is outstanding.

Great acoustics. Chamber music festival with international musicians every summer.

Girl lemme tell you something about the URI FAC. The building it falling apart. Its just a mess. HOWEVER the people in this building are the best people on earth and there are so many shenanigans and good times that the gross building doesnt even matter. FAC is awesome and we all do great art things. The art department is incredibly talented, the theater is always astoundingly good, and the orchestra is just heavenly. If we had a better building maybe our arts would get even better. But always stop in the to URI Main Gallery for amazing exhibits, and the URI Theater and Orchestra always has performances. Stop in. Enjoy yourself.

A sad building supporting a wonderful fine arts program. Its clear that the state or RI does not support the arts with the condition of this building. A ballot item to replace this building in 2016 was replaced by the Governor for yet another engineering building

A nice place to see student plays. The building could use some stucco repair.

The building is disgusting and falling apart. The stone and wood is well beyond chipping, the lights flicker inside, and theres a section off to the right where they attempted to build something with columns 20 years ago and never finished. Parts of the inside look well out of date. Its all a real shame because the students involved in arts are really devoted to their work and are fantastic at what they do. They almost had a plan in place for a new FAC to be built until the governor took it off the ballot.
