Had an amazing time in La Costa Nostra! We will be going again to try the other rooms.

Puzzles were all just counting and reading to open standard locks, no mechanisms or compounding complexity, just locks. Nothing unique and lacking polish when compared to other rooms

I have done all the currently offered rooms here. All were very fun and had their own unique challenges to overcome. My favorite room was the multi-room stranded one. I couldn’t recommend this location enough! I only have 3 minor complaints. 1 is that I think the minimum booking size should be reduced to 2 so a couple could go on a date to the escape room. 2 it’s a little pricey compared to other escape rooms in the valley. 3 adjust time given for completion based on party size.UPDATE:As the owner has stated below in their response all of my critiques have already been fixed and addressed. It appears my information as expierences were out of date. 0 critiques from me! 5 stars

Our family had an amazing time. We have done other escape rooms and found this one to be very good. We got stuck at one point but then once we turned our thinking caps on we found our way out. I really liked the fact that you worked mostly on one puzzle at a time instead of 3-4 puzzles together. It was really well designed. We will definitely go back to try other rooms.

RESPONSE to the Owner:Stephanie, thanks for taking the time to reply Im glad you are implementing changes so that customers who may have gotten the reservation wrong or who just plum forgot can be reminded of the already PAID reservation. Not doing so, as in this very case, makes the customer feel as if you, the establishment, didnt care about the customer once paid...You would probably feel likewise were the shoe on the other foot...Regarding not knowing you or your business very well...you are correct. My ONLY experience is documented in my review...I cant change that immutable fact...had y all called, perhaps the review would have gone differently as my experience would have been less tarnished...Bottom line, thanks for agreeing to incorporate changes to be more customer friendly....Have a great day!=======0/5 stars...but I had to give one just to leave a review....Let me tell you about my LESS THAN excellent experience at this establishment....it all started with an over-the-telephone reservation...sadly they got it wrong (theres a surprise...read on to see why). It was booked weeks in advance by my wife for our daughters 13th birthday party for 10 guests. She booked two (2) rooms and prepaid $168. The reservationist Stephanie (who just so happens to be the OWNER....youll understand the importance, soon) took the reservation and booked it for 1800 and NOT 1930 as my wife had requested weeks in advance. As I am confident we all can attest, to the fact that any quality establishment (even high end restaurants like Mortons of Chicago, Ruths Chris, etc., etc.) will call or text you a day or two prior to your reservation to CONFIRM the reservation....not so with these clowns. They didnt even call on the day of at 1800 (the scheduled time as per their computer itinerary) to remind us that we had paid for a reservation and had yet to arrive?! Oh, no, they waited until we showed up at 1930 to coyly inform us that your reservation was at 1800...you didnt show up...theres nothing we can do about it?!I asked to speak to the owner, Stephanie, who, incidentally remember taking the reservation--it was for 1800!!! She got very defensive and argumentative. I asked why no one followed up on the reservation prior to AND on the day of at the appointed hour when no one showed up?! She did not have a good answer to that question (or any other as a matter of fact). She just wanted to argue....her pat response was: We didn’t do anything wrong. You can have the two rooms tonight at 2100 or you can reschedule for another day! Thats the best I can do. Like, I guess we are supposed to reschedule the birthday party since these geniuses wouldnt accommodate an error, in my opinion, on both sides...I gave her, instead, two (2) different options: 1. Refund our money, or 2. Have me put the charge in dispute with AMEX because of a less than excellent experience. Fortunately for them, my wife is a softie and took the 2100 slots....I on the other hand wanted to put the charge in dispute with AMEX...and I would have won the dispute.Bottom line....do yourselves a favor and patronize one of the other Escape Rooms nearby...these clowns do not have a monopoly on the concept and the other facilities are probably a bit more upscale...Note to the establishment, especially Stephanie, the OWNER...remember the true adage: The CUSTOMER is ALWAYS right. Go the distance. Offer the refund since you (or your duly appointed representatives/employees) coyly sat by as the appointed hour elapsed without the client being present....Im confident you had a chance to rent it out to someone else....and if you didnt, you should have at the very least called to followup and see if: 1. We were on our way and just running late, or 2: To determine if we had forgotten and gently reminded us, immediately....either of those would have gone the distance towards keeping a happy client. I guess once you are paid, you really dont care, do you....thats a rhetorical question by the way...

This is my third escape room...my least favorite. There is no video correspondence between the players and master which the other rooms had. I also like a clock in the room so you know how much time you have left at all times. The room, which is small, was so hot you couldn’t even concentrate.
