We love this park/beach. I almost hate to post about it because we love it that much. We love there are woods and on the other side? The most glorious beach and gorgeous water. We love to picnic there and then go down to swim. They have some grills there and pavilions if you prefer (I think you have to rent if you really want to secure). There are bike rentals and if you stake a claim on the beach chairs and an umbrella it was only 25 bucks when we were there last Sunday (Aug 23rd 2020). Love it. One of my fave spots. Sadly my beach was all video but heres one of a raccoon that strayed our way.

My family has been visiting Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park for over 50 years since we came to live to Florida from Cuba. I still have so many memories as a little girl having a family BBQ with friends and running up and down the beach. I’ve been able to enjoy this beach growing up and with new generations of children. I highly recommend this lovely slice of paradise.Pro tip: They have plenty of BBQ grills but on the weekends they quickly fill up so come early.

I can visit this place every weekend. One of the best parks to visit in miami, the cleanliness is superb, the staff is polite, there is ample amount of parking, table-chairs, grills. We had an amazing time, the bike trails different from other parks. There is an entry fee of $8 per vehicle which is negligible if you compare the services they are offering, and lastly the washrooms are clean as well.

I love ️ this park. So much to do. If you don’t want to pay for parking There’s a nice neighborhood right down the street on the right. It’s a long walk to get to the water from the car so make sure you bring some water bug spray and a hat. They have two places you can get grub here. One please I will give you ice water for free the other place you paid two dollars. There’s a lot of nature wildlife and plants here. there’s a nice neighborhood right down the street on the right. I definitely recommend it! One of my favorite outdoor places around. Beautiful and nice spot for everyone. You can bike around or spend the day there. With parking, restaurant, trails, beach, restrooms, playgrounds, fishing area and lots of different corners with amazing views to have fun with friends and family or enjoy the nature quietly by yourself. My favorite part is the lighthouse. From outside it might not look too high but give it a try... you may even get a little tired with the spiral stairs but you will be surprised by what you can see from up there. It is a tiny area to share with other visitors but enough to be inspired by the magnitude of Mother Nature. 5 stars!

It’s a beautiful beach, quiet and with nice people. The lighthouse it’s an amazing experience, you have an outstanding view. Great for doing water sports. I recommend it. Only note that you’ll need to pay for parking but it’s cheap and worth it, if I recall correctly it’s only 7 dollars for the whole day. You also have an ice cream truck so it’s nice to get something refreshing during the day. And you can rent bikes if you don’t have your own to be able to bike around the park that is close by.

Our favorite park and the best / cleanest beach in Miami Dade County! We have loved Bill Baggs for years now! Every time we want to go to the beach we come here! Today was no different and we enjoyed the trails and the docks along with the sand.Especially if you come on a week day you can really enjoy everything this park has to offer. During the summer you can go in the waters and during the winter you can enjoy the trails and restaurants! The price has gone up in the past years (now $8 for a car with 2-8 people) but its well worth it. This park is clean and the staff are friendly!

An absolutely wonderful experience for the whole family. This is a fantastic park! We made an entire day of trip to Cape Florida. We spent a few good hours in the pristine beaches of the park. Then we trek the several nature trails. Then we had lunch at the grill in No Name Harbour. After lunch we the beach again, at the southernmost point, as to be near the Lighthouse. The we explored the historic lighthouse and museum. As the day wined down, we made our way to the southwest pier to watch a breathtaking sunset, and some ice cream. It was an awesome day, and the drive back across the bay was also a sight to behold, as the Magic City began to light up for the night .

I give the lighthouse four stars because its a beautiful lighthouse. But just like every other Florida Lighthouse, the tourist trap thing has ruined this one as well for any chance of photographers to capture any great shots of it. We took two days to travel down south and a night in a hotel just to see and photograph this lighthouse. Almost impossible. They have two staff members just hanging out outside the entrance to the lighthouse door, one being a very large dude (a lot of work to remove from your photos) so if youre looking to travel for photography purposes of this Lighthouse.. Be warned. I really dont understand why the state of Florida has to ruin this for us. New England and other areas just dont do this. Much better to photograph these beautiful structures.

Bill Baggs is a great location for single or group bike rentals. Paved path that extends along the coast. Really nice beach park at the south point of Key Biscayne! Plenty of parking space, several beach access trails, white sand beach, turquoise water and a great century old lighthouse.Tips:1. Take fresh water to rinse off the sand as there arent showers on all of the beach access trails. There is in the one near the Lighthouse restaurant.2. The farther away from the Lighthouse the better as there is less people and you have great views of Miami.3. There are sunchairs and umbrellas available for rental, but you can take your own as well.

I totally love this place. In my opinion, there is more fun thing to do than another beach in Miami. It’s easy to find a parking spot. You will not only just go to the water and chill. You will be able to take a light house tour or just walk up to the top of lighthouse to see the view. You will see the whole beach and downtown Miami which is very very cool. Also they have a little old house to see. It was kinda museum. I had a really great time there. I definitely recommend you guys to try it. I paid for $8 per vehicle. It worth it!!

This park is really nice and well maintained (at least when we went there were no overflowing trash cans, etc.). This time we went to see the lighthouse because its only open during certain hours. If you look on their website, it doesnt specify the hours that the lighthouse is open to go up. And good luck with getting someone to answer the phone when you call... But, apparently its open Thursday-Monday from 9 am-4 pm with guided tours at 10 am and 1 pm. If you like history, youll enjoy this and there are spectacular views from the top. The beaches are also nice and they do have restroom facilities here as well. Totally worth it for a day outing.

This state park/beach is by far my most favorite beach, trails, scenery all there for you to enjoy!Never had any problems with the friendly staff/rangers or visitors.Every so often you can even catch a glimpse of a manatee swimming by the sea wall where ( to my disdain) people usually are fishing, leaves me really concerned that the park allows fishing since you have those poor helpless manatees swimming there that can get entangled and cut up on the fishing lines not to mention the high speed boaters with no regards to the signs.Since going to the park for many years I have seen the cuts from the boat propellers on a few manatees, it’s so sad to see these beautiful creatures endure such torture and disregard at the hands of fellow humans.

Great state park to visit, especially if in the area. Good place to visit with friends, family, coworkers or other, has a range of activities available from fishing to lounging on the beach. Has nice historical landmarks and value like the lighthouse, and nearby cabins/houses. Beach is far-stretching, relatively clean thanks to beach clean ups, nice and sandy, and has a great amount of beach vegetation for that natural beach view. If beaches arent your thing, theres a great fishing area nearby (where local fishermen like to catch all sorts of things, like barracudas and sharks), where you can watch the waves crash against the rocks and baby crabs scurry, or set up under a pavilion, and have a nice BBQ with friends and family.Overall great place to visit and relax, even if you are a Florida native/resident, and have been to all the local beaches.

Many people use this area for wedding or engagement photos including myself. This park also has a restaurant which I have not visited yet and a whole bunch of bike trails and walking paths.
