This DIY skatepark from when I first saw it to present meaning now.. all the hard work from the volunteers all the people thats plaid the concrete and all the dips and curves and drop-ins and the bowl.. is really become one of the best skateparks in Kansas City.. 5 stars to all the do-it-yourself Kansas City skateboarders..

The always expanding Harrison Streer DIY park is a great addition to Kansas City and the skateboard community. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people here and it has a “good vibe”. I also feel safe being here even when alone. It is well maintained and taken care of. So thankful this exists!

When somebody asked the city for money to build a park, the city said do it yourself....So thats what they did.This is a real live Do It Yourself skatepark.Over all park is clean. Was biking toward the River Market when I spotted this park. Its a neat place to screw around with on your bike. I, with my 29 wheel mountain bike, was the only 1 at the park on March 22nd, 2019.

We recently made a trip to Kansas. My son is a 12 year old skater. We always try to stop at new skateparks when we are in different cities.This is by far the most interesting and neat thing I have encountered as far as skateparks go. What a cool project that a bunch of skaters came together and made. A little rough around the edges, like any good skater Kudos to the fellas who put it together. And thank you to the skaters, who skated the street so the kids could play on it for awhile.
