Had some sweet chairs! Kinda expensive! With the Pandemic I had forgotten!

AMC Ward Parkway Theaters is a beautiful venue for movies. The biggest problem I see is they are acting too much like fast food restaurants and don’t have enough help to serve you !!! Too much automation at the front desk. They would’ve received five stars but the line at the front at Guest services was way too long.! When you have to see a real person it should not take 20 minutes. Once you get past that it’s pretty good. Lots of choices. You can have all the usual traditional movie fanfare such as popcorn, soda and candy. But they have more than just the usual concession stand they have an area with adult beverages so you can have a delightful cocktail before the movie or during the movie. They also have a lot of other choices that are not quite so traditional. The bathrooms were extremely clean and beautiful flowers on the counter to boot. The floors inside the theater are clean no sticky feet there! The chairs are super comfortable and yes they recline! Be careful don’t fall asleep.!!! Enjoy the night with or without kids!

The only place I will see movies in Kansas City anymore. I live up North and it is definitely worth the drive! Always friendly service and very clean.

A very nice upgrade. Theyve lowered some prices at the concession stand. Theyve really improved the theater. Lounge chairs were very relaxing.

It is 840 p.m. Sunday nite Dec 1st, concessions closed show started 745, FROZEN 2 OPENING WEEKEND... WTH? Watching Frozen 2 with 6 kids, no refills available now after 4× 8$ large popcorn with promise, MY FIRST TAKING, VERY UPSET, TEXTING WHILE IN THEATRE. VERY UPSET AND WILL BE CALLING TO COMPLAIN UNTIL SETTLED WITH REASON!?! WHY NOT MENTION AT REGISTER OR WITH SIGNS SAYING CONCESSIONS CLOSE AT SPECIFIC TIME, Then I can understand, THIS IS UNFAIR PRACTICE. BAIT AND SWITCH

Desolate but spotless on a Thursday night. Hand sanitizer stations and disinfecting wipes are available everywhere so you can be in charge of your own sense of safety but I still hate that even when you spend 26 on tickets and another 26 on concessions they wont give you a decent sized cup for ice to pour your Smart Water over.

Seats are super comfortable and the theater wasnt too loud like the last one we went to blew our ear drums out at Dolby! Very friendly staff and LOVE the location we have the monthly pass and will definitely be back

The worker at the amc part where you get your ticket said me and my cousin were trying to sneak in but really we got there at 645 and the movie stared at 740 so we were walking around and he called security on us... very rude

A theater worth driving to. They are a smaller theater but they offer nicer chairs and quicker service.

This is still one of my favorite theaters. AMC prices are still a little steep for me. But, the customer services is generally good and the food is fresh. This is still one of the best places in town to hear and see a flick

Nice theater, but the seats dont get cleaned. Always food in the seats. I think the cleaning staff only sweep or vacuum the floor. Ive had to grab napkins from the restroom to clean or place over my seat. Bring wipes if you plan to visit this theater. Love that it is within the mall.

Seats recline, but dont heat, and within each row, they are all connected so that you may share spaces. Screen was nice and big. Volume was good. I did not interact with staff much, but the bartender was nice. Parking is a situation - be sure to park near an entrance/exit that will be open if you are leaving after dark.

Some of the best seating in KC metro. Red reclining seats. You will fall asleep watchin movie. Like your at home in your own chair.

A man in the theaters was wandering around saying hello to people over and over me included, He was not in the right state of mind and could have possibly hurt someone but it freaked me out so much I just left the theaters before the movie was over

Back open at 30 percent capacity so buy your tickets early

Very comfortable seats and great picture. My only complaint is that I heard a lot of noise from the theater next to mine, and it was a loud movie, with a lot of bangs and explosions and such, which did not fit with the movie I was there to see. Other than that tough it was a great experience.

My go to theatre. Comfy recliner seats, they have a bar. Also some decent food options besides popcorn and the usual but of course they are all extremely overpriced. Its a movie theatre

The theater is oddly placed in a mall, however it works very well! I pre-bought the tickets and it was super easy to do online and very quick to get in. The seating is super comfortable and is in pairs so watch out when pre-selecting your seats. Very clean and very enjoyable!

Empty. No staff.The movie next door was so loud that I couldnt really pay attention to the beginning of the movie I was watching.Im sure glad theyre open though....

Well I am definitely not a big movie person but thats only because I lack time. Loved the fact that I had a wide comfortable recliner seat to myself. The cup holder is wide enough for my drink. The fact that there were only a certain amount of chairs, which meant no over crowding! Laid back like I would be at home. The bar just made me so happy, it actually felt homey. I must say though the popcorn was to expensive nearly 10 bucks, but that was overlooked with me being so comfy n all. The location does in fact need a lot of help as far as parking, visually it definitely needs help. I have gone shopping there yet it has never caught my interest or desire to enter. Until my sons had taken me for a movie I really really wanted to see. Yes I will definitely go back!

Saw Spider-Man homecoming in theater 12, great theater! Loved that I could sit in a back row without climbing 100 stairs! Place was pretty clean and the reclining seats were super comfy!

A good AMC theatre to see a movie. Not as good as some of the others in the area, definitely can tell it is aged in the seats and such. The staff do their job, but not a lot of smiles...

So much nicer since they upgraded their location. All seats are the reserved kind, with the leg controls to make it comfy. Much cleaner and well maintained than it was before. Now our favorite theater.

The workers were so rude and condescending. I could here the sound and vibration of another movie playing in our theater however they did upgrade to better recliners/seats since the last time I was there (years ago) but I did notice a few stains of nacho cheese in my cup area on my seat apparently one of those workers forgot to wipe up ugh..hope everyone else enjoy there time and money well spent place than I did cause to me it was WORTHLESS

Phenomenal!! Order anything on menu via waiter. Free refills on drinks, delivered to you while you watch!(Really cool bathrooms)

Seating is great, nice atmosphere and snacks, theaters are very comfortable and spacious. Ward Parkway is a top tier movie theater. However, you have to be 18+ to purchase a ticket no matter what movie you’re going to see. So if you’re under 18, you’re out of luck. If it wasn’t for this I would rate the theater 5 stars easily, they deserve it.

I loved the comfy recliners! My granddaughters (ages 4 & 6) loved the automatic recline buttons! And the popcorn, my 4 year old wants me to tell you it was the bestest! (Sorry about the mess )We dont go to a lot of movies so this was the first time I had bought the tickets in advance and used the scan code on my phone to get in. It took me a minute to figure out but the young man scanning tickets was very kind and helpful. Ill definitely use that again! It was so nice to go right past the ticket line and the reserved seating is awesome! Great job!

Ward Parkway is a good theater. But as the 1st multi-screen theater, it definitely needs more love! The power reclining seats are comfortable & easy to operate. Each theater has LCD screens now to let you know what movie is playing or if the theater is currently being cleaned. This makes it easier to update movies now or broadcast info. Theres a full bar. But would nice if it had a Dolby theater in it or something else to make it truly special. Please AMC this is your very 1st theater. Make sure everyone else knows it too.

Nice theater. Good job for keeping it clean with all the trash people leave every where. Since this has a bar, you have to 21 or have an adult with you. This has only been a challenge for us once, & I didnt mind. I will support a business that closely adheres to the laws for the protection of all patrons. This is our #1 pick for movie going! Leather reclining seats. Order food online & they will bring it to you. First rate, mate!

Always so awesome!!! We hate going to any other theater. Once you get spoiled with the amazing and CLEAN recliners, there is delivery to your seat for food and drinks at the touch of your fingers! Plus the screen and sound quality are to die for. Staff always helpful and friendly.

A lot of fun. The theatres have really good reclining seats that let you almost lay down fully and still be at a great angle for the screen. Four seats in a group allows you to sit with your group or kids and keep track of them easily and the seats work well if a kid wants to curl up with you. Join AMC stubs for possible discounts through the app and skip the line.

The theater was good I like that is inside of the mall so we have that type of access havent been in a few years. The screens were bigger other than that great place to go for date night

The location is well maintained, clean, and gets a variety of movies in. The staff are cheerful and knowledgeable.The only downside is they seem regularly understaffed during peak hours, especially at the concession stand.

The employees are young and can play too much and be unprofessional. The ticket scanners sometimes dont work and the other part of the time the operator needs more training on how to scan the tickets. I think having a stubs membership and paying every month for benefits like a special line so I dont have to wait or my drink upgraded should be done and I shouldnt have to ask. Its close so I go here if I dont feel like driving else where. Also itll be nice if they turned back on the signs that said which movie is playing in a particular theater outside the doors. But I mean I can catch the movie so maybe they are meeting the goal.

If comfort is your thing, this is definitely the place to come and relax and watch a movie. The recliners here are so comfortable, its like being at home but with a bigger screen and surround sound. I came here with my mother, even though she was in a wheelchair, theres some ramps and handicap spots that was helpful in this theater. The staff here are very friendly and informative too. I like how you can pick your own seats if you come early enough too.

This theater needs help...not clean in hallways or popcorn station. Ticket associates, while nice, very very slow! Not working marquees outside theaters...boxes of supplies in lobby...the whole place not looking great.

I am a huge fan of AMC theaters! I love the reclining seats and compared to other theaters in the area these are the most comfortable! The ability to book a specific seat ahead of time allows me to show up 5 minutes before a movie and not fight for a good seat is incredible!

I give it 4 stars. Why 4 stars because a nasty lil girl put her nasty hands on the rim of my cup with no gloves and says here you go like everything was ok. Uhhh no love i do not share germs.

There was approx. 5-6 employees working behind the snack bar. Took longer to get our tickets than it did to get our drinks & popcorn.

We didnt get to watch any movies here, but it was awesome on the inside. Its like a secret mall. Next time I would like to actually watch a movie here

Ive been to a lot of local theaters and the Ward Parkway AMC is by far the best in town. Its always clean and the leather recliners are very comfortable and have a lot of room. More so then any other theater theirs recline way back leaving you with a lot of room in front and behind and next to you. It also has a bar in the theater for the patrons that are over 21 years old. For my family this is the only theater we go to now.

We went to see IT. Fairly good movie. Wish the theater sold stuff like the one Oklahoma. Other than that we had a good time

Solid theater with good food options. Projection is 4k and is generally good but for the tent pole stuff I might pick a Prime or Dolby AMC as those are pretty amazing.

If youre just wanting to catch a casual matinee or a weeknight movie, this theater is perfectly acceptable. If youre trying to catch a movie youre really excited to see, youre probably better off driving a littler further for a better viewing experience. Tucked into the mall, theres only so much they can do to upgrade the experience; dont expect stacked theater seating or the largest screens.

Long concession stand lines. Concession was out of cheese and the butter area was nasty with half the soda flavors out of stock. This is my least favorite AMC place to go...needs revamping.

Please looked clean and the ticket taker and concessions guy seemed nice. The seats may need some attention though as the leather is cracking and coming apart

This is -a- fave movie theater on the planet due to their easy parking, amazing local beer selection, and proximity to Trader Joe’s/home goods/tjmaxx/target. You simply won’t be able to leave tho because the traffic on either side is abysmal. Make a day of it on say a Wednesday. Shop your non perishables, Go to an early Matinee and then Get groceries but LEAVE before school/university/after work traffic.

Really comfortable seating - recliners make the movie more enjoyable. Wouldve have given 5 stars, except cleanliness could have been improved. Ticket prices and concessions prices are too high compared to other movie theaters in the area.

AMC has some of the nicest theaters in town. Unless you have A-list, theyre on the overpriced end, but the amenities are top notch.

Went to take my daughter here to see a movie and at 12:30 pm we were served popcorn that was so stale I would believe that it was from the night before. Then the butter dispensers, tried two, were empty. Very pricey outing for limited resources and entertainment.

Its disappointing. I personally avoid AMC because the customer service is terrible. The movie I was watching last night was ruined by the loud explosions in the theatre next to us. I overheard a customer complain about their movie being out of sync and the technician stepped in, said it looked fine, then continued talking to his friends. I guess if you like instant gratification without human communication, this is the place to be.

TERRIBLE SERVICE HAS A COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE. AT THE TIME OF OUR VISIT, I HOPE THIS ISNT HOW EVERY GUEST IS TREATED. THEY COMPLETELY RUINED MY HUSBANDS AND IS DATE NIGHT WITHOUT ALL FOUR OF OUR CHILDREN WE ATTEND TO DAILY AS WELL AS SCHOOL, WORK AND CHURCH. UNACCEPTABLE MANAGEMENT DID A TERRIBLE JOB MAKING IT RIGHT AS DID THE CUSTOMER COMPLAINT LINE. THEY MUST BELIEVE THAT SINCE CINEMARK IS GONE THAT WE HAVE TO VISIT THEIR THEATRE BUT THAT IS WRONG WE WONT BE DOING THIS AGAIN. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SADDENS ME PEOPLE WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY NOT TO BE MISTREATED BUT TO ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF THEIR DIME. PLUS HOW DO YOU GO THROUGH MULTIPLE REPRESENTATIVE AS WELL AS MANAGER AND NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE IT RIGHT?

My husband and I love this theatre! Its not very often we actually go out to see a movie, but Ward Parkway AMC is our personal favorite. The staff have always been so helpful & the patrons are kind & polite.

This is my favorite local theater if I want to see a standard or 3D showing. Clean theaters and friendly staff. You can reserve your seats in advance to sit where you want. If you have time to kill, there is plenty of shops inside Ward Parkway to keep you occupied for a while.

A beautifully kept theater. Squashy arm chairs that go gar back enough to almost lay down. I love this theater! This theater is also in a mall with a bunch of cool stores ( the ones we need)

Restrooms could use some work-dirty, soap and sink not working properly, toilet flushes too hard and sprays the seat. No customer service skills in the employee who brought our food to us. Cool idea to have food brought to us when the movie starts (if they get the order right). I missed the opening scenes because they missed several things. However, movie quality was amazing. Detective Pikachu was amazing! Great location in the mall, too.

This is a pretty great theater. The reclining seats are great to have. Each theater that Ive been in is relatively small which I find nice. The worst thing about this theater, but it would be any theater in general, are the snack prices. A large drink is like $6 and a large popcorn is like $9. Thats just ridiculous. But overall, its a good place to go see a movie.

I love this place! The lion king an Toy story was AWESOME! GREAT TIME! I an from Sioux city, Iowa. An we havent had a drive inn for ever! It was a grand time! An how they show the ppl that are their waiting for the show ,incorporated the kids on the big screen, dancing! Great ppl! Ill be back! You can count on it!

Its your standard movie theater. Be prepared to walk if you are only coming to this location for a movie. AMC is tucked away in the middle of a mall. Youll have to deal with mall traffic etc. Seats were adequate. Sky high concessions,the average.

We do the AMC Stubs package so we can go two three movies per week for 20 a month. It is worth it. This theater is a lot like all the others. Clean with big comfy chairs that can recline. smaller theaters that arent very busy usually. They do server alcohol.

I had used the Theater many times and it costs more that most in the area, but I was not looking for low cost. I accidentally had forgotten my wallet after my brother invited me to watch a movie with him. He carries cash and was not prepared for the cost. I used the app on my phone and called my wife for a cc number to pay for our tickets.When we were going in I found I was thirsty and asked for a drink of water. They refused to provide any tap water. Someone in another line offered to pay for my water and gave him $5 and the person behind the counter said it was $6.50 not $5. I could not believe the ridiculous greed.After paying so much for a ticket, then watch them try to rip me off, and then scam another customer. I had never been there without a credit card. Glad I had lost mine to learn that pure greed drives their business, not caring about customers.

Preferred Theater! Easy to sneak in your Target snacks. Great reclining loungers. Theaters arent insulated great for sound so if youre seeing a quiet period drama right next to the new Marvel movie youll hear some of the action.
