It was my first time visiting and driving on to the property was like entering a small city. It was the Phil Collins Experience and my brother The Black Diamond Real Illusionist at the Garage! The entire setup from the Parking on site, to the Fantastic Stage & Sound, nice Seating, and most importantly a Great Staff, made Knuckleheads the Best place for live music, and I highly recommend taking in a show when in KC!

Ive been a couple of times and loved it. We went on Halloween to see the M80s and Billy Idol. M80s was great! Idol on the other hand was a joke and awful. He was reading from a screen and not singing if you call it that with the music. We were also disappointed with the costume contest. There was no order in how it was done and I guess to be a finalist you needed to be a friends of the guy doing the mic/contest. There where a few amazing costumes and the ones he chose where just ok. Ill be back eventually it all kinda left a bad taste

My first time at this venue. I saw John 5 and Queensryche. They were great and this is an awesome live music venue! The food, drinks and environment were all 5 stars!Ill start with the drinks. $4 shots of Patron... Great Deal! A wide variety of beer at great prices. Awesome! The only thing was I always had to wait in a line to get a drink. Small thing which probably kept me from drinking too much. The food was pretty good. Not great but much better than average for a place that is focused on drinks and live music. The BBQ pork sandwich with chips was most awesome! I definitely recommend. Burgers and nachos were yummy as well. The venue was sold out so it was full! There are options for seating but it limited. The stage and sound system are great. Again, this was my first show and I drove in from Omaha. Ill be back for sure! The bands crushed it and sounded fantastic. This mix and acoustics were very good. Very well done!!!Im looking forward to my next show at Knuckleheads! Sooner is better!

Id heard of Knuckleheads of course because they get a lot of great bands, but its quite a ways from my house in Overland Park. So we went to see Samantha Fish and had a fantastic time. Its a great room and you can see from everywhere. The drinks are strong and cheap and the sound was great. Ill definitely go back

Knuckleheads I think is best to go with people who have been there before and know the drill. They are a cash kind of place, but they have an ATM so dont worry. They have live jam type of music and its a lot of fun to go and just hang out and listen to some live music.

Review №29

Simply the best venue for live music, beer and a good time in the Kansas City area. Several stages allow for the perfect setting for acts drawing small casual crowds to huge SRO headliners. They seem to make the beer lines move quickly and others have told me the bar food is good. The crowd is usually a mix of young to older with the concentration varying by the musical act on the stage. Just a must for live music lovers in the area.

Great place to see live music, many well known names play here. Plenty of parking in a secure gravel lot. Cash only bar, food options. Friendly crowd always, if your standing people usually invite you to sit with them. You can pay online to prepay for a show at a cheaper rate for some shows, but, its pretty much the same at the door after you get charged service fees and such.

If youre ever in KC then you have to see a show at Knucks! There isnt a bad seat in the place. They have multiple stages, both inside and outdoors, that accommodate shows of all sizes. There is a bar near each stage so you dont have to go far for drinks. This isnt the bartenders first rodeo either they know whats up and they get the line moving quickly! They have a kitchen as well, Im not sure how late it is open but they had a food truck at the last show I went to. And unlike many bars they have plenty of stalls in the restroom so there is hardly ever a line!

Went to an event in the Knuckleheads Garage, which as far as I can tell is separate from the saloon and across from it.This is an interesting venue. Its pretty small and there is seating and large tables for most of the floor. Unfortunately, there isnt much elevation so if you are short and/or want a good view come early and get a good seat otherwise you will be dodging other peoples heads all night. This place draws in an interesting group of people. Overall, people were reasonably well-behaved.If you want something to drink, its cash only. Definitely keep that in mind.Overall a good local place trying to do something nice. There were big fans running in the summer but I dont believe it was air conditioned. I have doubts about how warm they can keep it during the winter because it doesnt seem like a well- insulated building. If youre going to be sitting, might want to bring a jacket or whatever as the seasons change to make sure youre comfortable.

Took a trip to Knuckleheads with a VIP Larkin Poe package in hand. What an awesome experience!! Theyve made a major improvement to how VIP packages are managed now. Last time we met in another building then had to get in line for the actual concert/show. This time we met the band right in the stage area and remained there for the performance. That was so much appreciated by the attendees. Ill definitely do that again. And, the place it just really cool on top of that.

This was my first time to knuckleheads, I will be coming back! Was really impressed with the venue and layout. Dance floor, some tables for reserve, additional general seating. Comfortable atmosphere. They did an excellent job keeping the concert area cooled off. I had an excellent spot for general admission, was packed in with the crowd. Was hot for about 10 min out of 4 hr show.Location: If your not real familiar with the area or saloon, it would be easy to assume this may be a rough bar in a bad area but knowing who was performing and looking at Knuckleheads website, I knew that to be false. This is a great venue. Ill be visiting again.

Good food! Decent beer choices. Seemed to be mostly domestic. Fun venue. If you havent been before, when they tell you to go early, it means get your food and beer and then go find a seat in side the arena. Dont wait in the bar thinking there will be an announcement that the seating is now open. It does not happen. And when leaving, if possible, check the train schedule. Not uncommon to sit in line for a long time. Otherwise well worth a return visit. I can see how this would be a great place in the good weather with the party deck available.

Review №48

Just saw my first show in the Garage. Its a cool venue. The seating is a little weird. Lots of tables down the middle. Head to the left side for a thin bar rail and stool seating. These spots are just past the 2 rows of theater seats.

Ro
Review №49

They just doubled the space by adding The Garage music venue and bar across the street. The Garage is a large open venue that was formerly a semi garage so there is plenty of space to enjoy the concert with tables, theater type seating and a large bar. They serve food though 3rd party vendors near the bar area. In the center there is a large open dance floor but its usually crowded with people watching the show so there is not much dancing. Its CASH only do forget the credit cards and bring enough cash for the night. The food vendors do accept credit cards.

The coolest! Retro bar and entertainment venue. So many bands and stars have been there. Autographed pictures of stars like Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Elvis and Alabama. To many to mention. At least 5 stages. Great people! On Sundays they have an event where a lot people ride their bikes and they block off the street, Harleys thru to designer rides. Many other kinds of bikes. Contests and prizes. If you like music and fun, this is the place. They even have an old caboose next to one of the stages. Im going back on my next vacation. A gotta go to fun place. Holland...

Great venue. Went for a festival and the two stages are super close yet super isolated from each other so one band doesnt distract from another. The food is pretty standard bar fare but its really well done. Will definitely be back for another show soon. Fun place to go and hang out. Good acts but when I was there the security was lacking. Its sad that you cant go anywhere without the concern of some knucklehead (see what I did there) out to harm good folks, but they have big enough crowds that they should have some (or more) visible security.

Every weekend Knuckleheads invites professional musicians to jam, just for the fun of it! Music starts at 1 pm and ends at 5:30 Saturdays and 6pm Sundays! The public is invited to listen, for free! Each musician plays a set and about every 20 minutes new musicians grace the stage. The music is great! You can buy beer from the bar and a pretty good variety of food from the grill.
