Great place! Relatively inexpensive. The benefit is that you get all the same stuff youd have to normally order online but you dont pay shipping. They have clay, underglazes, studio rentals, and more!

I retried from Westport Roanoke community center my dealings with them has been OUTSTANDING in excess for over 8 years from their beginning. They have maintained their excellence while expanded. My former students and I are continuing their services.

Very helpful in choosing the kiln that met our needs. Failed miserably at following up and ensuring we received the product.We were given several non-answers when calling to find out where our kiln was several weeks after the estimated ship date. Then there was more run around after we were notified it had shipped and two weeks went by without delivery.We had to call the kiln manufacturer weeks after the promised date just to get it shipped to us.I cannot, in good faith, recommend this company to anyone.

Absolutely horrible service. We have been buying large quantities of slip from this company for years. The service has gotten worse by the month. Employees will tell you one thing and the next time you call they will tell you another. This last time we waited OVER a month for slip we were Told we would get the next week. Than when we go to pick it up we are told we will have to load it ourselves. And its not where you can back up to it. They have a bunch of junk they are calling art in the way. When asked if we could use their fork lift to load the pallet the answer was no. Than even asking if we could use the manual pallet mover was more than they wanted to do! We have been long time customers and the way we have been treated I gaurantee you we will be looking for another company.

Super helpful staff! I walked in knowing nothing about the hobby my late mother loved, and walked out feeling like I can finish some od her unfinished projects!

The location doesnt look like much on the outside. But, once you step inside, you realize what a great space they have. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the gallery is a beautiful space. I highly recommend them for anyone who works, loves, or dabbles in ceramics.

I had a problem with my old kiln and was unable to locate the right part. The staff was was great! They helped me get the correct part quickly and went above and beyond with telling me how to replace the old part with the new one. The staff at Crane Yard Clay is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I will get all my supplies there, 5 Star all the way.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and willing to work with you. I recommend this store highly for quality glazes, supplies and service. Their location is convenient to downtown and has easy access for picking up supplies.

Craneyard clay is my go-to​ supply store for ceramic materials, supplies, and tools. As a former student of the Kansas City Art Institute, I feel at home walking into a community of active ceramic artists and previous classmates. Everyone has ample knowledge of the clays, glazes, China paints, equipment and tools. And if someone in the supply store doesnt know enough about a material, you can bet one of the residents in the adjacent studio does. I may not have found this place on my own, a its nestled away on a short street near the railroad, but I am so glad my professors suggested it​. Craneyard clay supply, gallery, and studio are a community of like minded creatives that will make you fall in love with ceramics (if you havent already!).

I went to get some clay and glazes for a fundraiser I am in and the service was great. I will definitely recommend you guys to anyone looking for supplies.
