Nice place for sport activities

A big outdoor spot for variety of physical activities. This place is sports friendly and people friendly, has restroom and gazebos. People from all age groups will have a good time here. It is a respected and clean place

What a fun and busy place this was on a Sunday afternoon. Tennis, soccer, parties, and other fun things happening! Great amenity for those in the area.

Love this park. Its a free recreational site for the entire community. With two huge soccer/football fields, tennis courts, multiple basket courts AND a kids park, it has everything. Oh, dont forget about the fishing lake right on site :).

Lights cut out right before we played our flag football game. Its the second time we had to reschedule. I saw the tennis lights still on and wonder whats going on here.

Nice clean park tennis and basketball courts are in great conditon. I went to use the fishing access. It is a nice area to throw a lure around and load a kayak...no motor boats allowed.

Fort Family Park was a very beautiful place to visit, but I didnt like that there were lots of ant piles.

Nice park with a baby/ toddler side and big kids side. Was not overly crowded. My 2 year old enjoyed himself. It was a clean park.

Great park east of 295 on Baymeadows road. There’s several fields, a pavilion for families or cookouts, basketball courts, and a playground for kids! Tennis courts are also located in the very front of the park.

The park is great unfortunately the football field needs some major help. With the divots in the field it is just asking for knees to be destroyed. This needs to be addressed before some childs dreams are taken from them.

Beautiful and peaceful place to take the family and BBQ. However, there was no fence to the lake which is kind of dangerous for toddlers.

Weve had gatherings here for a while, and its a 50/50 on whether or not I will roll my ankle. We play on the back field, nearest the childrens playground, and there are so many issues with the field. Flooding is to be expected, but people let their dogs do their business on the field, and the terrain can be uneven in certain sections. Were trying to find a new location, but the other field (unsure of the quality) is normally occupied by a lacrosse organization when we meet here.

Its a nice park to go and relax with your family for a picnic. They have covered picnic areas and bathrooms. You can catch a good game of basketball and a field for soccer or just for playing around

It’s a good open field park that has a soccer, basketball and football field. Along with a small lake, an open field small hiking trail, playground for kids and a few covered tables to have a bbq on a nice day.

The park is decent and the water makes for beautiful scenery. The playground is a bit run down, and could use some TLC, but its a great outdoor space for my kids to run off some energy and it has a public restroom (usually pretty grungy...bring baby wipes if you have toddlers who need the potty!) We enjoy coming here every so often.

The sports field need some serious repair. Looks like a old mine field.

5 stars great play ground,Everything is free except the picnic shelters you have to pay to reserve them. Tennis courts have to be reserved. The lake has fish but you have to catch and release. Basketball courts, football field. The shelter area has grills.

Good place for children of all ages. Toddler playground,field to play footbal for older kids. Water view,private space,access to public restrooms,place to grill,sit down to enjoy food and view. Overall its a really good place to take your family out to enjoy the nature and entertain without gadgets.

Play flag football here weekly. They have several fields and some tennis and pickle ball courts. The fields arent the best quality though, lots of dirt patches and holes around. They try to fix it by throwing new sod down but then we just end up tripping over the sod. Also not a lot of parking options, I have to park in the grass in the curb every week

Lots of park amenities. Very clean. Our school was hosting a “Back to School” picnic. The pavilion area by the playground in the back easily accommodated a few hundred people without being too crowded. Parking with that many in attendance was still reasonable.

The park was nice; however, the bathroom was flooded and very dirty. There was also a group who rented out the pavilion within the playground fence. The group was blaring music, smoking, as well as drinking beer and liquor right next to the playground. This definitely threw off the family atmosphere.

Its a beautiful place for a short, quiet walk. There are multiple tennis courts and soccer fields. Multiple covered picnic areas. And one whole side is surrounded by water. There was a family doing a birthday party in the picnic area. And its next to a childrens Jungle Gym play area. There are also restrooms and water fountains. I didnt have a paved walking trail, but we were easily able to make our own along the edge of the retention Pond Lake. Seems like a nice place to take your family, too. And the tennis courts were unlocked.

I never knew this place existed until just recently. Its a very nice park and even has pickleball courts. Its really well done with nice facilities. Ill be going back often.

I went walking through thus park the other day with my nephew and I saw a bunny. He was very excited, and yes, I was very excited. Lol. So we took picture and I posted it. The park can be very busy during seasonal sports but otherwise its really cute and if you walk along the trail behind the parking lots theres a lake and lots of nature to enjoy. Just make sure you bring a 13 year old with a stick or a lack of fear for bugs!

Good place to fish and enjoy the outdoors

I have a very active toddler and we were at a birthday party there. I actually injured myself going after my toddler because she was headed for the large lake/pond. I feel that the pavilions are situated too close to the lake/pond. And so are the play areas. There should be some sort of fence up by the lake so that small children dont fall in or even feel like they need to go explore it.

I’ve come here many times as a child, and this was a much needed remodel. This park brings back great memories, and should be a delightful experience for all who visit it. Just stay away from the lake, you never can be too careful!

Very beautiful park with two large soccer fields. I go here to practice disc gold and the lights stay on until 10:00. The playground and tennis courts are also very well maintained and nice.

Plenty to do for all.

I have a blast every time I come to this park. The restrooms could definitely be more clean though.

I brought my big labrador here for an outing with friends. We reserved one of the shelters. Dogs are welcome and she had a great time. If you bring your pup, dont forget the baggies. Clean up after your pet and keep them leashed. Dakota loves the ocean so I bring a harness and a long tether leash that clips to a belt on my waist. She always stays with me, but it ensures she wont swim out too far and fet pulled away by the current.The beach is clean, the restrooms are close to the beach, the shelters have grills and the one we reserved had close parking. What a great day!

I like going to this park because its close to my home and it feels safe. Many school teams practice here, in addition to other groups but its nice because there is space for everyone.My only complaint is that the bathrooms are gross and occasionally theres quite a bit a trash after the teams practice. I dont there are enough trash cans.

Come here semi regularly to play pickleball. Best place to play at night. Sun does have an affect on play esp early morning and early evening due to its east-west orientation. If theres a dollop of moisture they may close the courts! Private showers are present. Great surface and wind guard.

The clay courts are relatively new and in great shape. Looks like they also have some organized pickleball.

Beautiful park but on Saturday evening the lights were not on and that forced us to leave.

What a nice ground to play

Clean, family friendly park. A lot of sports teams practice there, but there is still plenty of open space for acitivites like pick-up occer or ultimate frisbee. The gazebo is great for large events like birthdays or work parties.

Beautiful Park with even better facilities. I play tennis here twice a week at their brand new tennis courts. Also the rest of the park is very clean. Not a lot of Shade but I dont necessarily see that as a problem

This park is perfect for children over 12 but down the street north about1/2 mile on east side of road is a child fave for younger kids and your right there so you can interact w/the kids there!!!

Solid for a free park. The playground is nice, theres plenty of open space for activities, and the lake is nice to fish or boat. Admittedly the fields need some upkeep, the tennis courts are relatively expensive, and the basketball court needs lights for evening play, but a very good community park nonetheless. Oh, and change the name back.

Nice place. Clean bathrooms. Pretty scenery. Looks like have many places to play and exercise. Great place to eat your lunch if you want to hang outside on a nice day.

Really nice park ! No lights at night though

Good park nestled in a nice spot in the community. There are two primary fields, both gated and the size of a football field. The park struggles with the condition of these fields due to soil erosion, but when they are newly resodded they are really quite nice. When its been a while, the holes can be somewhat dangerous and frustrating for sports like soccer.The park has a good little playground for kids and a great spot for dogs. Basketball courts and pavilions are perfectly serviceable. The Tennis courts are new and beautiful, but are expensive to use as they are not publically available free of charge.

We like this park. Have been coming here off and in for many years now. Has a covering with shade to stay cool, bathrooms that are pretty clean for park bathrooms, a pretty big playground, open fields, etc...Very nice park.

My nephews birthday party was a success! Park has plenty of room for throwing football, Dodge ball games, and a playground for the little ones. The pavilion with picnic tables and grill was plenty big with room left over (think there were about 30-40 of us). With all the room to roam, it was so much easier to have the party there. Kids seemed to have lots of fun!

This park has a lot of options if youre looking to get out of the house. Walking paths, tennis courts, a basketball court, two football/all-purpose fields, etc. My only knock on this park is that the football/all-purpose fields arent always in great condition.

The football field was poor kept but the overall facility was beautiful.

Very nice day walking. Grateful to have the park. But people take your trash with you. Bottles everywhere on the ground. Please keep it clean.

Plenty of room for whatever your looking to do. Nice mulched play set area. Covered pavilion for parties. Shade tree around the play area.

What a nice park this is. Great place to sit and enjoy my lunch. Enjoyable little get away in the middle of an otherwise hectic workday!

Good park for what we did. Played basketball then football in the adjacent field. The grass was torn up and was extremely sandy though. Also wish there were more trees around or a covered area for shade.

Nice playground with a big kids area and a toddler area. Covered picnic area is nice. I just wish the bathrooms were a little closer.

Tennis courts, basketball courts, football field, soccer field and playgroud. This park has it all and is a great choice for pavilion rentals for any event.

The facility is new, mostly clay courts; there was a walk up, first come - first serve (no pun intended, or maybe a little) hard court, several pickle ball courts. It was busy, and the amount of time you can reserve a court for is unusually short if you actually have a match to play. It was a great, public option since I was travelling. Would definitely use it again if Im in the area.

Had my daughters party here. I reserved a picnic shelter. This has to be done through the city of jax. Easy,smooth process. Very clean, safe, overall great atmosphere even though we got rained out.

The tennis courts which I play on every week are always in excellent condition and both will and John do a great job in managing the courts

Baymeadows regional park is a cozy little park with several football/soccer fields, a newly installed tennis area, a basketball court and a playground. The park is surrounded by a large holding pond. The fields are currently undergoing renovations and hopefully they will be completed soon. The park is generally quiet and convieniantly located. There is still some room for development, however the park is a great place as it is. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the lack of signage about alligators next to the playground and the grass is not mowed often enough.

A nice fenced in playground in the back of the park. The bathrooms are across the field from the playground, so its a bit of a walk. Several pavilions make this a good place to gather. A nice mini trail along the pond is an added plus. Most of the time it is pretty empty, but sometimes there are partiers that play loud music and smoke at the pavilion by the playground.

Very nice park for kids

Nice place to go and hang out with the family or just walk alone. I come here to meditate and write.
