Love the theatre. Just not the Alhambra at this time. If there ever was a time for a makeover, the time is NOW. From tape over rips in the carpeting to lights barely working at each table and the food not being impressive at all. Went to Grease tonight, GREAT performance in my opinion. Some new scenes were difficult to swallow but thats theatre. Had the Turkey entree and the Country Fried Steak. The Turkey was great until I hit a hard gizzards like substance and just quit eating. My wifes Country Fried Steak seemed to be drenched in grease and was tasteless. Im sorry, bit Ive had much better there and it just seems that Covid has changed the entire landscape of the play/musical scene at this point. Still have 2 more events to attend here in 2020. Will update if things go better.

We went to see Sex Love And IRS. It was great play. Very romantic place for couple date. The show was so funny I laughed all the way and was very happy to be there. We will always support you. You guys are great team. The curry was not good very sweet for me for dinner. But otherwise I enjoyed everything. Love this place.

My mom and I love visiting at least twice a year! The food is always incredible and the shows are first class! Great atmosphere! Very clean and comfortable. The staff always goes above and beyond!

This was my very first visit to the Alhambra Theatre. I went to see Footloose with a group of friends. I chose shrimps and grits for the meal and they were so delicious! The key lime pie was also really good. Our server, Tessa, took great care of us. I enjoyed the musical so much; the actors were very talented. I will be returning!

Always a wonderful experience. Of course the show, one expects to be great and we were not let down. The intensity of the actors and the singers is exceptional. Perhaps the most amazing thing is the food. One never expects the kind of creativity and utter quality from mass served dinners. I can honestly say that my meal was memorable. Cudoes to the Theater for an absolutely perfect evening. Oh... by the way, the service was flawless too.

The food was excellent; however our seats were terrible. All the way at the back where we could not see any of the sets and right beside speakers so at times the words of songs were almost drowned out by the instramental. Additionally, the noise from the kitchen/service area was quite loud and distracting. It was much improved after intermission as I mentioned it to the staff. I also felt the service was mediocre - we had to ask for coffee and water refills, salt and pepper. I would love to return, as I do love the plays and the atmosphere, but ....

This is a great place for special occasions or just for a fun date night! The three course meal never disappoints, with a variety of choices, gluten free options, and usually a flavorful vegetarian option. Very large portions, and the bar is open before dinner. The shows are absolutely top shelf! Musicals, comedies, or tributes, they never disappoint.

Horrible experience at this place!!! This was an email I sent to the owner on August 21st and no one has reached out to me! I would not purchase tickets here or this could happen to you too.On 01/07/2020 I had purchased 4 tickets to the upcoming Grease show on 05/16/2020 at table 17. My sister and brother in law had been to a previous show and told us about what a great time they had so we decided to all go together for Grease. Obviously, COVID hit and the show was cancelled with follow up emails stating that everything would be rescheduled at a later date. On 07/21/2020, I received an email stating that we were reserved to be at the 08/15/2020 show at table 18. We had never reserved this date because we all had previous plans to attend and the option of picking the date was never sent out. Then, I noticed that we were also reserved for a table that is different than our original one and the view wouldn’t be as great (according to the staff) when I originally bought the tickets. So I called to have the table changed to our original seats and the staff advised that it was too late and it couldn’t be accommodated. So I asked to be upgraded to a better table then and I received the same answer. I had the tickets cancelled and advised that I would like my money back and was told that refunds are not issued out. I have a problem with being rescheduled to a date and table that does not suit us and then being told that a refund wouldn’t be issued. I originally paid with a $100 gift card and the balance on a credit card. After all of this, I am not happy with the customer service that has been displayed and I am hoping that you can issue a refund to my credit card.

My wife and I are fans of this location for date night and a play. Tonight was grease. I had the watermelon salad which I thought was great. I chose the open face turkey sandwich which tasted great and was a lot and i mean a lot to costume. Settled with the giant brownie which was rich, not salty or sweet. My wife chose the pig in a blanket which was a giant sausage which tasted kinda salty. She followed that with the country fried steak which again was a lot and she tolerated only a fourth of the meal. She wrapped the evening with the root beer float but was not a fan of it. For my alcoholic beverage I had the greased lightning which I greatly enjoyed, not to strong or sweet. My wife had the sangria. Great night as usual. Some chose to wear masks after eating dinner, some did not. My wife and I wore ours. Went ahead and bought tickets for footloose! Cant wait

Show is high semi-professional. Nice voices and acting. Food was delicious. Well worth the night out. Because of distant seating it did not feel so crowded as when there is a full house. That made the experience much nicer than before. Every course was excellent. Bread is outstanding. The sound system has been greatly improved. That was a reason we stopped going. It used to be very bad. Site lines are good even on the far sides of the stage. Overall the new management has done a great job to make this an experience that every age can enjoy at a price that has value.

Just a little crowded, but it seemed like six feet spacing. The food & service (Kat) & show was excellent. I wish we had not gotten so close to the stage as I did finish my coke after the singers started as they were directly over us. All in all good job, at least well see if we dont come down with covid in the next week. Fingers crossed

I love the Alhambra! Fun environment, good food, and good service. Its a smaller venue, so you are fairly close to the stage no matter where you sit. Its so nice to be able to watch a live performance and have servers that come to your table instead of having to stand in line for food and drinks.

My first time here. Would definitely recommend trying it. Food is great. Brought home no leftovers. The show was hilarious.

Alhambra does social distancing so well. People are seated 6 feet apart. Food is excellent. Excellent plays. All in all a great night out.

Food was very good. The performers were great and had beautiful voices. Laughed so hard on Beauty School Dropout that was good. Only thing I think could have been better was the set decoration.

Ive really enjoyed the 2 times that Ive been here. Ive seen Annie and Little Shop of Horrors. Both shows were amazing! The food is great as well and the chef(s) are very accommodating to special dietary requests and I really appreciated that.

Always good food and wonderful entertainment. I had salmon with asparagus smothered in small shrimp and sauce. The performance of Grease was super. The cast did a fantastic job.

The shows are amazing!! The level of Talent on each and every cast surprises us each time.. Chef DeJuan simply outdoes himself with the food and John is always a wonderful host.. the service is fabulous ..Even if are they were overly busy they are so friendly and over accommodating.. my husband Tim and I have been regulars now for the past seven or eight years we try to never miss a show Mary. I love this place! My first show was mamma mia last year and ever since then I have become a season partner and have gone to every show! The shows are wonderful and the food is wonderful! I highly recommend becoming a season partner if you want to see most or all of the shows each year.

Wonderful evening at Alhambra enjoying the Cinderella production. Thank you for everything you did to make everyone as safe as possible with regards to Covid 19. You could tell a lot of thought and consideration was made for seating arrangements and safe distancing. The show was wonderful and Cinderella made my granddaughters night just by making eye contact and waving at her. Gary Smiths management through the night was excellent as always, the staff was very kind and attentive and the food was delicious (especially loved the peaches and cream).

Really enjoyed my experience. Cinderella was very entertaining, meal was delicious and plentiful. Staff was friendly and attentive. Social distancing and protective measures were in place. Definitely want to go back!

Enjoyed Little Mermaid play after a very nice dinner last night with a party of six. Although choices are very limited for the three-course men (call ahead if you have food issues), we all found good things to eat. After dinner, We and the packed house of 400 settled in for a lively and funny rendition of Little Mermaid. A great night!

Grease is a fun show. The food is great also. We are so blessed to have this wonderful dinner theater in Jacksonville.

I have been going to the Alhambra since I was a little girl. I went to school with Tod Booth’s niece at St. Paul’s Catholic School and remember going on field trips there! My Dad was a local disc jockey and they used to invite the media in Jacksonville to come on the opening night for free! They stopped doing that years ago but the new ownership has really made the food much better.However I just got off the phone with Jodi because the show “Grease” that we were scheduled to go to was cancelled due to COVID. Grease is one of my daughter’s favorite movies and I was in the Y-bag production of Grease a million years ago! LOLWe originally picked a date that had 3 available seats in the center and close to the front. So, after I saw on the news that they opened back up, I sent a few emails asking when we can reschedule. I checked for a response for a few days after each email and didn’t hear back. Crickets. Life got hectic, Duval teachers started back on Aug 10th, I had a birthday blah blah blah. On August 18th I checked my email again and there is was, a response! An email that said, “we made your reservation for August 16th.” That was 2 days ago and incidentally was my actual birth date! Crud!Well school started for me but my daughter was going to see her grandparents since St. John’s County school doesn’t start til the 31st! So, I just called the Alhambra to explain the situation and make an actual reservation. Jodi said, “ we have availability tomorrow and that’s it!” W H A T? The show runs through September 27th and you have NOTHING else? Not even in the nose bleeds? She said, “I can put you on a cancellation list but those come and go real quick. It would be better if you just called here.” So let me get this straight, There’s a month left of shows and I already paid for 3 seats and now you can’t honor that? And if I still want to try and see it, I have to call you continuously and hopefully, maybe we’ll get in? Jodi wasn’t amused.That’s when she told me that we can have credit to come and see another show. NOT THE POINT! I know COVID messed you up Alhambra but this policy sucks. People with past reservations should be your first priority. That money came out of my account a long time ago! I sure don’t feel like a priority to Jodi or to the Alhambra right now.The whole reason I wanted to take my daughter to see “Grease” at the Alhambra is because I grew up loving the arts and dabbling on the stage. Now days kids don’t get much exposure unless it’s important to their parents. I thought seeing a show, that my 9 year old loves, up on a stage would hopefully inspire her to use her talents and enjoy the arts. I was trying to plant seeds but honestly, this whole experience has been a nightmare. Come on Alhambra, you can do better than this! You also might want to remind your staff of two really important words: customer service.

We ordered the Easter Sunday brunch which supposedly fed four. Wow. False advertising. Four adults relished in Sunday Easter meal of Lamb, Ham, Potatoes, so much more..... Then 4 breakfasts of delicious grits (with eggs we provided). Two complete dinners of leftover lamb and at least two more dinners of Ham. All was delicious. I do need to mention as well the great pains staff went to in delivering the meal (all three large grocery bags full) to our car while still complying with the social distancing guidelines. So glad they are doing take out...... Give them a try..... Cant wait until we get back to the theater part of the dinner theater. Thank you Alhambra staff for nearly a weeks worth of delicious meals and your outstanding service. Blessings.

Went for our first time tonight , celebrating our anniversary , and let me tell you ... It was AMAZING. The food was some of the BEST food Ive ever had, the drinks were fast and delicious, service was on point & the performance .... OUTSTANDING! I cannot wait to go back!

Fantastic food and service! I did my first to go individual meal this week. It was delicious. Great easy handled with food brought to my car by individual wearing gloves and mask. I loved food so much that I ordered another meal the next night and it did not disappoint. I had the ribs and they were outstanding! Macaroni and cheese was great along with the mouth watering cinnamon streusel type cake with icing and berry sauce. Great dinners and will definitely try again. I hope to one day visit for a show as well.

I would like to compliment the folks at Alhambra for making our Mother’s Day meal absolute memorable. The menu for the family dinner for four was exceptional for taste, quality, and variety of food to eat. The salmon, the rib tips, salad, bread and blueberry pie were all top notch and very tasty.Unlike other Mother’s Day meals made at home this was so much more pleasurable. We can all complain about the sacrifices we need to make in light of this insidious virus and then there’s Alhambra’s take out meal to take away stress and to provide joy.Thanks Alhambra. Your work provided for a tremendously happy meal.

Great atmosphere, spectacular show, dessert out of this world and the rolls were delicious. Cinderella was such a wonderful experience for young and old. Servers were the best too!

Went to see Grease . Great play . Wonderful atmosphere . People. 6 ft apart . watermelon salad , as good as anyones in Fla . Salmon shrimp entree very good . And as a card carrying Chocolate lover . That brownie was as good as the gets . worth the 29 mile trip .

Meal was excellent. Tenderest, juciest, thick pork chops Ive had. Performance good. Sound was not too good but I think it was because the cast were young kids and their voices werent picked up on sound.

The Alhambra is always a delightful experience! It is such a great escape from the everyday world. The food is always delicious. The staff is courteous and attentive. The performers are extremely talented. We have met some wonderful people to enjoy a few hours with, eating and watching a show. I have not had a single bad experience at the Alhambra. I encourage everyone to experience it for themselves!

We have been patrons for many years, but unfortunately the virus cut our participation out. We had a$140 credit from our cancelled show,but were hesitant to use it for the dinning to go options. We dont live in the area so when we called,Katy was kind enough to allow me to spend it all in one trip. We were concerned that we wouldnt get our money worth but WOO HOO...I didnt have to cook for a week. The dinner for 4 actually fed us 6 meals and the single entries were also very large. I knew the quality would be great from past experiences,but everything was packaged for re heating and travel. Cant wait to do it again

The play was Roger & Hammersteins... Cinderella! The food was in entirety absolutely delicious! The performance and acting was of great quality, a must see when in the Jacksonville area.

Awesome shows with an intimate setting. If you have to pee often, make sure you choose a sent on the open end of the table. Otherwise you have to squeeze by other people who are back to back in their chairs. The staff is friendly and the coffee is good. Makes for a great date night or fun time with friends.

What a wonderful night! We saw the Tribute to Hank Williams and Patsy Cline, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Food was excellent (we had the ribs), and happened by chance to be seated with one of the owners, who was very gracious and friendly. I completely forgot that we had tickets for this event tonight, and a super nice box office employee called to get our dinner order just before the kitchen closed. I was in a bubble bath & my husband was just walking in the door from work. We put it in high gear to just make it in time. So glad she called - glad we went! Saw Little Mermaid there a few weeks ago and have reservations to several other shows in upcoming months. If you havent been or if its been awhile, do it! The performances are professional, uplifting and thoroughly enjoyable.

Performance was amazing, the food was good. The atmosphere was incredible. I would definitely take my fiance back there. We saw Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde. We had pumpkin bisque and a chocolate dessert. I dont remember the entree, it was some type of pasta. But it was very good.

I would suggest being careful buying tickets from this company. Simply the show did not go on as promised due to virus. I asked for a refund and they said contact the owner.I did and he refused or did not bother to respond to my email . Be careful-they are at the least rude-at the most broke and spent the money. Be careful.

I have been going for well over a decade. The shows have always been great. The menu has improved exponentially and the show selection has some more modern selections. I enjoy the more child friendly shows so that I can introduce my young one the theater. The kids have a separate kid friendly menu at those particular shows. My 5 year old son loves going and has enjoyed the shows hes seen. Great time to teach manners and social skills if they are ready. I also like doing date night with my hubby or even a girls night out. Its really enjoyable for everyone and any occasion!

Dinner theater is a fun, friendly way to spend the evening. Food was good. The cornflake crusted mahi was perfectly cooked and I could have wished for seconds on the bread pudding dessert. We saw a delightful musical comedy while sitting with 2 other couples at our table.

Personally, Im not that into performing Arts. But everyone I love, IS. Ive seen several shows in the last two years. All of them were magnificent. I really enjoyed myself. The food was good, and the staff were very attentive. I recommend trying it out.

Awesome awesome place! We watched Godspell last night and it was amazing! The service was excellent and the food was great! We were there for 4 hours and it flew by because we had so much fun! Great value! Even my kids had a good time. We will be back!
