Delicious and refreshing mead! When we arrived, the place had closed early that day due to thunderstorms. Owner drove back and gave us a tasting after we called. The place has a love for their craft, and it definitely shows!

Small, but very interesting place. Never tried Mead before, but I got a great introduction to it, Emma took me through the different varieties, then gave me a tour of the fermentation area. I got to meet Dan the owner, got to use the corking device and even got to put wax on a bottle to seal it! Overall very nice time was had, and I brought home three varieties to enjoy.

Very small and humble shop. Plenty to choose and the people who work here are super helpful for the inexperienced. I didn’t know much about wines or meads and the tasting is a great introduction to everything they have to offer. Please check this place out, and if you’re stuck at home in quarantine, they will ship to your door! I recently purchased three bottles online because I ran out of mead. Their mead is fantastic!

Mead is the nectar of gods and 1634 Meadery is the meadery of gods too. Smoothest, bestest mead available to us mortars. Amazing!

Extensive variety of meads featuring local ingredients. Very informative tasting available. Ask Dan for a tour, just like the one seen on This Old House.

Excellent assortment of meads and the tour was very insightful. I went to the meadery with three others and we got to try about 6-7 different types of mead. We used a Groupon which included the tasting, glasses and a tour. Will be returning for more mead in the future. We even bought a couple of bottles to bring home!

Visited this place back in fall 2018. Really enjoyed our time here! The place is small but very cute and cosy. Stuff was very friendly and knowledgeable! Was very interesting to learn about the whole process of making this wine. They had a nice variety of different flavors. After tasting we left with 3 bottles. And will be definitely back to pick up some more.

Theres a lot of bad mead out there, and Ive tasted a lot of it. This is not that. The mead itself is delicious. They have something for every taste, from actually dry (dry enough for my sceptical, wine loving mother) to very sweet. None of it is cloyingly sweet though. The tasting room is small, but well decorated and cozy. The people were also friendly, welcoming, and informative, but never condescending. Overall, a tasting here is well worth the time. And, the mead is worth buying here or at your local wine store.

Hands down the best mead that I have ever had! If that is not enough for you to try the incredible hand-crafted mead, then try it because Dan and Deb truly believe and take pride in their craft. I promise you will not be disappointed. They have some flavors that are always around, but the every changing seasonal flavors are not to be missed. My favorite... Strawberry Fields!

Nice, small craft meadery. Pretty much a one man show, but hes got some tasty meads. The tour was informative, but not much, since the whole place is a 2 room operation.

The owners are fantastic and love to talk to people. The mead is absolutely fantastic. Ive ventured into brewing my own mead and during the process Ive bought and tried almost every single mead sold in Massachusetts. 1634 Meadery is hands down one of the best around. Their prices as well are fantastic. Around $20 for a 500ml bottle. I constantly see smaller bottles selling for $25+.

The 1634 Meadery had an excellent variety of meads and most of them are made with locally sourced ingredients. They have both traditional and fruit meads and all of the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They even let us seal a bottle with wax when they were showing us the process.
