We saw a great play The Agitators. A story revolving around the friendship of Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony. Its a very dynamic two actor performance. Go see it if you can. The small theater has comfortable seating with a very good view of the stage, even in the second from the top row. A special rotating stage was built and used for this production.

Its a big theater feel in a small theater setting. Ive enjoyed every show that Ive seen there. The crew staff and actors always bring a very enjoyable experience. It is what theatre is meant to be at least for me an escape.

High quality performances in a not-so-great venue. The top few rows (about row 6) of this small theater are nearly unusable due to low clearance and the stage configuration is strangely deep sometimes effecting the action and sound. The lobby is cramped and cold. The staff is helpful and they company creates some great shows despite the limits of their venue.

Loved it!! Only request is to turn up air conditioner. Attended in April and May and got very warm. Keep up good work!!!

Wow! Im very surprised that there arent many reviews on this place. Just finished watching Black and Blue at the theater and I loved it. Barrington Vaxter masterfully portrayed Marcus, a nervous black man from the South side of Chicago that was traumatized by a past encounter with the Chicago PD. All of the performers were amazing and the set was beautiful, I felt like I was there. The play depicted both sides of the issues that are all too present today with the Black Lives Matter movement. I feel enlightened, great job Riverside Theater and all who were involved!
