What a fantastic park, didnt even see all of it but you can driver through or get out and walk, I did both. Very cool place definitely going back.

Beautiful in the fall with all the leaf colors.A creek runs through the park with charming stone foot bridges across the creek.

Fun cheap place to camp. Grounds are kept neat, and spots are not right on top of one another. I’d recommend staying here in a tent or camper, but there are no power hook ups, but that’s fine by me for the price($15 a night) stayed 3 nights 4th of July weekend

This place is gorgeous, and quaint - a beautiful backdrop for a wedding.Plenty of private, secluded areas for ceremonies & the Palmer Lodge is a perfect place for a small reception - with bathrooms right next door.Really beautiful, make sure to bring mosquito candles or spray, though - it is the woods, after all.

Ive come out here a few times for events. The cabin can hold a good number of people and has a loft area for sleeping. It has electric service and 2 large fireplaces.

I went to the Ionia Hunting and Fishing club located here. They had there annual Shrimp and Seafood dinner last Friday. Had a great time as usual. Lots of fun and good food.

Site 12, Aug. 14-16th first day was great, second about the same, third individuals wanted to steal paid for/gathered supplies park manager aka keeper Jeff needs to be replaced. Come for borderwars every year I will NO longer be attending. He came to deal with the situation, ended up telling me they will deal with it in the morning. NO you deal with it now and its also real unprofessional to bring your child to an altercation. CPS, the state (for driving paths not been wide enough) will be notified and I have dash cam evidence of lot 12 on my lot and of you/the incident. DO NOT take your family there.

This place was HUGE, every inch was beautiful. We went to a wedding here and the palmer lodge was stunning. Beautiful wood beams, and warm fireplaces. Accessible bathrooms & handicap ramps.

Had fun taking my son sleedind there. It has been a long time since I have been there sleeding, it was a great time!!

Superclean Park kids will enjoy it

We have rented the cabin for winter camping a couple times, its a neat experience for our boys group but you are roughing it. The kitchen and entrance area could be improved, no running water or heat. The power was out this past winter. The fireplaces take a full two days to heat up the lodge in the winter. The sledding hill is great and there are nice hiking trails.

Bertha Brock is awesome this time of year. One of my favorite disc golf courses, shes a challenge.

Went for the disc golf course. There is a $2 use fee for the day.The course is fairly difficult and very hilly terrain. Overall nice course.

This is just a beautiful place.Tons of area to wander and enjoy.Rustic camped here with friends and really had a great time. With a baseball diamond on site and a disc golf course, it all adds up to a top notch Michigan destination.

My grandfather Frank Harkness was the first caretaker from 1934-1954. He was a landscaper in England and designed the stone bridges and landscaped the park. Its really a beautiful place to visit.

Large park with disc golf and hiking trails. Camping is available with a variety of campsites that are well spread out. This offers campers a choice of sites along the beaten trail or secluded sites with a good degree of privacy. Reservations are not necessary to camp, in my experience you can drive there and pick a spot. Firewood prices have to be the most reasonable I have ever seen, so be cool and dont abuse the available wood! Take and pay for the portions as listed, someone has to split it.

Although it was still winter when I visited here, I was amazed at the size of this wooded park as well as all the amenities! It has rustic, 1930s-era Michigan park signage, but it has a lodge you can rent, a shooting range, a natural sledding hill, a camping area, hiking trails, picnic pavilions, a designated trout stream - and of course playground equipment. The restrooms are not outhouses, another plus in my book! If it was located on a lake, it really would have it all!

The groundskeepers always do such a good job keeping everything clean and ready for fun.

I love this place. It is a nice camping area just outside of the city. You get the feel of the woods yet can run to the store if needed.

This a lovely park with a small river with rapids running through it. I had no idea this little gem was this close the Grand Rapids.

Really enjoyed this place. Cost $2 to get in per car but totally worth it. Well maintained even in the fall they blow the leafs from the path. Signage could be a little better to lead you to the next tee pad.

The address is improperly givenIt should say west blue water so you dont look East of Ionia. Also departure from cricket ridge Dr cannot be accessed by your directions. Cricket Ridge is dead end off Aurelius Rd. There is no access on to Cricket Dr from round tree a subdivision which has its own entrance off Keller Rd.

Beautiful park/campground. Great place for weddings: Palmer lodge is absolutely gorgeous and its construction tells of another time. There is a creek running all thru the park that is adorn with foot bridges, bridges you can drive on that match the beauty of their surroundings. Great place to go for a nature walk and there is also a huge sledding hill in the winter.

I went there for their annual squabbit hunt. It was amazing. Everything was set up great the coordinators had everything ruining smoothly and on time. This was the first time that I had went but have heard about it for years. They served breakfast and lunch for us and had giveaways once the even t was over. We will check it out again next year.

Quiet and awesome!! Pay on your way in, rustic, quietly disappear into nature. I quit smoking by camping here for a weekend and just getting lost in the woods.
