If you walk up by the gate to the dirt trail you get to some amazing views really quickly. Well worth it.
I was a bit disappointed visiting here today for the first time. Went for a walk, think the paved trail was more appropriate for biking. Not that many nice views of the bluffs and river actually. Also hurt by its proximity to the very busy HWY 52. Not bad, just hoping for more.
We thought it would be a great place for a hike, most of the pictures posted on here made it look like there are dirt trails overlooking the river BUT everything that I saw was all paved and I didn’t see the river so you must have goto the right of the restroom building. When looking at the map, that trail looked too short so we went to the left It went along the highway, then a watershed and then out along another road. I did like that it wasn’t completely flat but it wasn’t what we expected from looking at the photos. I think it would be great on a bike though.
Access to walking and bike trails. Great adventure
Theres only ONE scenic view, the rest of the trail is mediocre because it all butts up to the back of industrial workplaces.
Great nature center and forest. Nice bike trails and a solid picnic area near the parking lot.
Loved overflow parking and restroom feature.
We walked from Simons ravine trailhead to Pine Bend Bluffs Trailhead, and I wouldnt recommend it. It seemed like an okay trail for biking, but not the best for hiking. The path just brought us to a road that we had to walk on for miles... Not the river view we were hoping for!
Beautiful pathways throughout. My father told me about this place and I have always wanted to check it out. I am glad I got the opportunity to do so! I recommend this place for anyone visiting Inver Grove Heights, but only if you are visiting during the spring and summer. They do get nasty winters here.
Absolutely love to take my dog here and walk. It’s always quiet and scenic. It’s truly a hidden gem. What I love about this walking trail is in the parking lot by the restrooms there is a bowl at the bottom of the drinking fountains that fills up with water at the push of a button for your pets to drink from.
This is a great section of river! Its so close to the city but yet feels a little wild. Untapped recreational resource
Beautiful place for a hike. Bring a garbage bag to clean up after the irresponsible folk.
So-so. Probably great for cycling but I was on foot. There are a few really nice views.
Place is beautiful... I appreciated all of being able to see Hidden MN and just off the freeway driven all so many times in my life without even knowing some of it was there... Bike trail is still under construction so be cautious as one of the state workers might get angry if you touch the trail while its under construction.. a safety concern so please understand. I didnt... I was just riding the trail and enjoying it when it turned to gravel...
Great place to read to my daughter. Perfect in the evening!
Its been a long time since Ive been here. Very pretty.
Great walking path. Still trying to figure out the placement of some of the benches. If you have a dog or small children, keep your eye on them in the parking lot. The people who live at the end of the street zip through super fast.
Awesome views but was a small park but thats me, I like plenty of trails!
The park has an opportunity for some terrific views but is often blocked off by the overgrown greenery. I was really excited to hike this trail, but when I got there, I was welcomed by the loud noises from the surrounding highway and views of billboards and commercial businesses. The trail was also covered in poop. Whether it be from a dog or a horse, I am uncertain. Nonetheless, I found myself staring at some of the flowers and local wildlife. There was an abundance of grasshoppers as well at Robins and other small birds. Definitely not my first choice.
A wonderful place to see the Mississippi River on the bend at bend of the river
Best hidden Mississippi River view in South metro. Nice trailhead for Mississippi River Trail.
Difficult to get a good view of the river
What a gem! The trails and bluff view is outstanding!
Great family trip
Great view. Playground for kids. Paved biking, walking paths. Restrooms.

Love it, they are working to connect it to the Hastings parks, it will be awesome.

Sweet short biking and hiking trail.
Two old buildings down the trail by the river
