The train and the carousel are fun for young children and the young at heart. Both are inexpensive, as if inflation doesn’t affect them. Also visit the zoo, old style playground or walk across the foot bridge in the woods.This place is a jewel. I drove the family up here from Bartlesville, before I moved to Overland Park. Have fun.

My grandson loved the ride thanks

This is a casual and enjoyable miniature train ride thats perfect for young kids, but it can certainly be appreciated by older kids and adults. Tickets are only 25¢ and you get to ride the train around its loop twice. This train has been an attraction at Independence Park for at least 30 years and its been lovingly cared for so it looks like its only a year or two old.
