Had my grandsons bday party there....he enjoyed himself...it was clean and not alot of people there I was glad for that... Very coronavirus safe....

My family comes here as a family outing quite often. We love the atmosphere. Cool Crest was going down hill for awhile, but when I came this time, they had started repairing the buildings and the place is looking much better overall. I really enjoyed the package we bought. 4 golf courses per person and we didnt have to use them all that day. The prices are fantastic. Thanks for a great family event.

We have loved Cool Crest for many years, but it is seriously time to do a major upgrade to the golf courses. So many of the tee squares were coming up and everything needs a refresh and to be working properly or replaced. If they dont do an upgrade soon, I am afraid they may not last much longer. For the price you pay, you deserve better. Would hate to see this gem fade away. Time to focus a little on the outside attractions and not just the arcade games.

Absolutely had a blast with my partner and kiddo. Just didnt get great information and communication from the staff. But had a blast will be back for sure.

Great to get outside and be able to still stay at a safe distance. However, it is definitely overdo for some repairs. At $17.00 for 1 adult and a 1 child for 1 round would like to see some improvements.

Perfect activity during COVID-19. Its easy to remain responsibly distant from others, and you can enjoy time outside. Three mini-golf courses of varying difficulty, all of which have been maintained better than most in the metro. Other than being located in a bit of an obscure location, this place is solid.

Maximum props to Cool Crest for not only being COVID-aware, but actually enforcing the wearing of masks on their property. Multiple times as my wife and I enjoyed a round of mini-golf on one of their four courses, I saw staff gently reminding customers to wear their masks, and machines and benches being wiped down and sanitized. All their clubs are also sanitized after every use, and the different obstacles on the course were fairly free of debris and dirt.A great way to spend an afternoon, particularly if youre planning on a visit to nearby Vs Italian Ristorante or Dixons Chili afterwards.

Although we had fun playing mini golf, it was sad to see its a bit run down. Covid has had a toll as well with certain things not being able to be used such as the go carts. This was always a fun place to go as a kid.

Kids liked it. But it needs lots of repairs and upkeep taken care of. Some of the surfaces are torn or have mud in them. A little bit of care would go a long way.

Youre not from kcmo if you have not been to Cool Crest. They should upgrade the place.

Super fun mini golf course and arcade. The whole family had a great time.

Great fun time with the adult kids. Enjoyed how the greens are unique and not commercialized. Played 2 rounds and the hardest one was the dragon. Also played air hockey, skee ball and basketball in the arcade. Feels very old school but in a good way.

The place served its purpose. Pretty old and a bit run down, but still playable.

Its always a fun place no matter how old you are.

My kids and I absolutely love it there. We always have a great time. And during this covid19 they are doing a good job at keeping the games clean.

Extremely run down and not maintained well. The mini golf courses have many items that are not working and big wrinkles in the turf that will interfere with the ball. Everything is in desperate need of a paint job. The ball will get stuck in some of the places it is supposed to go through. The fountain and pools are dry and look like they have been for awhile. There are large prickly weeds growing along the paths and the flower beds are ravaged. The arcades are definitely dated also, some have problems, most of them are token eaters that give minimal tickets. Then your tickets really dont go far. It seemed like they turned the a/c off about 30 minutes before closing. The employees really did not seem like they wanted to be working there. Whoever runs this place is running a passive income dream. I am surprised there were so many people still going there. I dont think Ill be going here again unless they update things.

We had a family night out and stopped by after dinner. My cool son met one of thee coolest kids ever and we all golfed together.. We exchanged phone number. His mom and I even recently made plans to hang out.. Haha, thank you Cool Crest!

Decent enough place to take kids for a few hours away from screen time. Love some of the package options, especially the current Groupon which is 3 attractions for 2 people for 25. Worked out great for my 12yo and a buddy. Got a round of putt putt and two spins on the go carts each. I’m not a fan of video games, so we didn’t spend any time there.The place is worn, but honestly what kids place isn’t? Honestly, I swear it’s gotten more open and less congested in recent years. Four different courses, batting cages, go karts... good clean fun.

Ive been going to cool crest since I was a little kid. Mini-golf is always so much fun here on pretty much any of the four courses. Unfortunately any of the moving parts of the course were no longer working. Understandably, as theyre all pretty old, but still a bummer.We were more disappointed with the batting cages, the balls werent being conveyed back to our cage so twice while we were in the cage trying to bat, it ran out of balls halfway through. Ill still keep coming back, as its always a fun evening anyways.

Kids loved it! We did not golf but they love everything else & want to go back . Bathroom was clean. The machine was tripping, not giving us tickets. But the worker was fast about fixing the problem.

Still wonderful. I still royally suck. My cane had great assistance as the putter made a great 2nd cane. Mostly went to be w/ my Love. He was trying to recreate one of our 1st dates. Sightly hurt like hell but it made him smile. 80s music playing. I knew the words to almost every song.

A fun place to go golfing. Some stuff needs to be replaced because its old and falling apart.

It has lost a step or two in the last 40 years but stil a joy. People of just making good memories.

One of the few places near Kansas City that is still operational for mini golf. I hope the place can make it through this COVID-19 crisis.

Kinda pricey, but great fun for entire family. Go carts were slower but understandably so. It’s a cool place to go and hang out with friends of all ages. I do wish there was more specials considering most people that come are going to come in groups. Especially groups of two for people on dates or just 2 bffs like me and my best friend here..and family bundles. They have them but it’s kind of high. Just a few coupons for visits or something! Winner of golf gets a buy one get one .. this place has stood the test of time , I’d just love for more families to be able to afford it. Besides , who doesn’t love competition- coupons etc. for winners at golf / go carts etc! Pleeassse! Love it other than that.

My son has rode the go cart by himself at least four times before at this location. Hes 9 years old but a inch short of required height. This day he was excited about riding and they rudely rejected my son. So we are at paradise park now riding with the wind. No thanks to cool crest

The tees need to be repaired, other than that, it was great!

The kiddos LOVED MINI GOLFING!!! One of the holes had an obstacle that was not working and once we told them about they had multiple workers on it to fix the issue right away. It is nice to see that many people ready to help fix issues at the drop of a hat.

Good time with grandkids reasonable price

Everytime I go in I get greeted with smiles. Staff is the best you could ever find! Management seems to treat staff great because they are always so happy! The food is some of the best you could ever find in Independence Missouri!! The games are a blast with great prizes!! I suggest everyone check Cool Crest out even if you’re just driving through the city!

Go carts and mini golf, what more could a girl ask for!?! Nothing don’t be greedy. Okay maybe a slushy and some nachos.Most places in KC take some time to get to and this is no exception. Conveniently located off the highway in Independence where the stars at night are big and bright because, well less light pollution. Anyway,Go carts good. Mini golf is marvelous.So get on out there! When’s the last time you did either of those things? You remember fun right!?! Go have some.

I love taking my children here but not only does it need windows or better ventilation but it always has 50% of the games out of order. For what they charge I feel all the games should be operational, other then that it is a nice place if you want some quick fun.

The place doesnt look like it has been kept up well. They go carts lost battery(?) Half way through, they lets us go again because if it but it happens 2 more times after that. They mini golf was not particularly exciting. And the batting cage didnt have a very good pitching arm. The arcade however was vast and is the only reason to go

Fun for a little bit. Some of the machines were down. The food area was not open. When i entered, the machines were off.

I will never bring my kids back here again! The whole time we was playing games, the games took our tokens. And then we tried to redeem our tickets and every machine ate them all.The staff took over 40 mins to come help us and didnt even give me the tickets back that I lost. This place is a rip off.

Cool crest offers a fun go-carts experience but the track isnt very interesting. It offers mini golf, but its worn down. Its worth doing a couple full courses but its not that interesting for adults. The arcade offers a lot of choices. Good for kids, fun for adults too. Some games are half broken and worn out. The ticket taker machines are almost all out of service. The prizes are dumb and cheap. They need to add more pinball machines.... Theres more to this place but I didnt eat there or hit baseballs. Overall this place is good but its seen better days which I dont think are coming back without fresh ideas and investments. Give it a shot though.

This is by far THE WORST place I’ve ever thrown a birthday party for my child. My first and LAST time ever coming! We had a miscommunication with time, Okay. A minor mistake. Eric was really nice about it! On the other hand, The woman who’s over the birthday parties was very rude and acted as if I was lying! I didn’t know who my party host was, I kept asking questions on how the party was supposed to go and got ignored several times! A huge argument between my guest and the same manager broke out while waiting for at least 10 minutes for the cashier to ring up a $15 pizza!During that time I tried to explain to the lady my question that was ignored THREE times, she proceeded to tell me “You wanna refund? You can leave!” Over and over. I truly feel as if my sons party was ruined. As we went out to ride the go carts, we came back in and all our things were packed and placed in chairs and the room was blocked off. No one came to tell us the room was shutting down. I DO NOT recommend this place and will be adding my review to my article!

Cool Crest has been a staple on 40 highway for as long as I can remember. Its a clean, inexpensive, fun atmosphere thats good for a date night or for the family. Several different mini-golf courses to choose from as well as go carts and video games. The gold courses are timeless and the surrounding gardens and greenery add to the atmosphere. A few of the courses could use a little fresh paint and maintenance, but, that just adds to the charm in my opinion.

I think we all had a wonderful time. Especially the kids. The staff was very polite and attentive. The restroom was clean although very cold. The birthday girl was very happy and she and her sisters and guests had a blast on the jungle gym type nets and slides and swings. The older cousins and parents/grandparents had fun playing the other games and winning tickets for the birthday girl. I highly recommend cool crest for affordable winter fun inside and the snack shack has yummy food and drinks.

The mini golf is in bad repair. They are working on it but they should have started this YEARS ago. Price should be discounted as each course needs work and the greens are worn out. Go carts are a lot of fun but they close at 11 and would not let us ride one more time at 9:50. Paid $75 for 4 wrist bands and played one game of mini golf each an rode the go carts one time each. Bought tokens for batting cages and what a waste that was. The fist cage we tried had no balls in it, the second only had 8 balls of the 16 that we should have gotten. Such a shame that they let this place go so far down hill before trying to restore it. After going here tonight we now know why they call Paradise Park paradise... Would give 0 stars but it will not allow.

Cool Crest and I go back almost 50 yrs. I started going there around age 15. My husband and I took our Daughter there for years and we all loved it. I took my 11 yr old Granddaughter there tonight. I was VERY disappointed. The price was ok as I was interested in sharing my happy experiences with another generation of my family. We golfed on the Queens side. There were several overhead lights out causing shadows. Torn and lumpy greens. Crumbling concrete and the Golfer putting greens little golfer figure didnt work. This very memorable Kansas City Family fun place is being neglected and it was very sad!!!

There is so much to do here! They need a better setup for paying, but the staff is friendly and helpful.The mini golf courses are a lot of fun. There are two courses in the shade with animatronic obstacles (King & Queen) and two plain courses in the open. There are unique holes where hitting the ball into a specific hope gives you an automatic hole-in-one without returning your call to the green. Along with these are the more traditional get it in the hole and have a closer putt or maybe a hole-in-one and a couple that send your ball directly into the cup. Some of the holes could use some maintenance, especially on the greens, but all in all it was a great time.When we were there the Queens courses obstacles were down due to a power issue, but the course was still fun and challenging to play. The Kings course was working just fine and some of the holes were really challenging as a result. We will be coming back for more!

Horrible customer service, horrible parking, horrible food. Started our party late and rushed us out.

When you pull up you can tell that the building has seen better times. The inside is dated but clean. There is a small party area for birthday parties but nothing special just a table and a few chairs with dollar store Happy Birthday banners.Golf CourseIt is ok for kids ages 8-12, but it can get boring and just like the building has seen better days. When there are a lot of people it can be hard to find any golf clubs so there may be a wait.Go-CartsAgain ok, the track is a little blah and OFTEN the go cars run out of battery which is annoying.ArcadeThere is an decent selection of games. Most games on average cost 4 tokens to play. The biggest hang up for me is that the game play is EXTREMELY short, especially for 4 token a turn. If you have small children there are not a lot of game for them. Cost of tokens are reasonable we bout 260 tokens for $50.00.

Neat arcade. Prizes were junky. Kids liked it.

Nice and affordable for family fun, the only problem was they only had 1 ticket machine working to cash tickets in.

A whole lot of fun. Great idea for a date. Family fun is available with miniature golf, go-carts, and indoor arcade. Four different miniiature golf courses allows minimum waiting, while playing.Batting cages are also offered for working on batting skills, or just for having fun. Plenty of free parking.

My kids love this place, they say its better then chuckie cheese.. its affordable and theres lots to do. Mini golf, go-carts, a jungle gym and the arcade! Only little issue is the bathrooms, when Ive gone they are kinda gross. Food is okay.

Went here a lot as a kid. Took my kids there this weekend to see how it had changed in 20÷ years.It hadnt.The mini golf courses were exactly the same. Maybe there was some new (in the last ten years) paint on some parts? Several of the moving parts of the holes werent working and it all looked REALLY run down. The arcade games were newish I guess.Not that we didnt have fun. My boys enjoyed it I was just disappointed it all looked so neglected

Had a great time in the arcade. Place was pretty clean given its full of kids running around playing without the responsibility of not making messes, since they arent at home.The service is good, all the staff are friendly and dont slack on keeping things running. There are, of course, always a few games not working but honestly - Ive never been to an arcade where everything was working smoothly.One nice touch - this arcade is still using token vending. No cards or electronic tickets. Gives the old vintage feel to the experience. Im fairly certain this is the last one in Kansas City still set up this way (not 100% certain so dont flame me if Im wrong).

A few of the holes were missing parts of the green. At one hole a huge square of the hole at the end was completely gone and everyones ball kept bouncing if course because it was concrete. It would be nice if they would fix all the places that are needing to be fixed.

Took my 12 year old nephew to the batting cages. Like most batting cages I have encountered half of the balls were not in the strike zone. Three of the batting cages were broken. So we rented it for 30 minutes to ensure that we got enough balls. Youre supposed to get 16 but every five or six it would dry heave. The girl at the front counter was friendly and the inside was clean.

Fun, fun, fun. Go-carts, batting cages, arcade, and four courses of miniature golf. Check website for ticket options. Combo tickets for doing more than one activity, or just purchase ticket for the activity of your choice.The putt-putt courses are a whole lot of fun. Great place to bring your date.

They shouldve been invested money in this place. Im 35+ and this place its still the same. I only go for the go carts, and pretty soon theyre going to have to upgrade those as well.

10/10 would recommend. It’s lovely and keeps up with the time yet staying as beautiful as the day it was set up. Love the place.

The workers are rude, they need customer service training, they do not know how to multitask if crowded. They have bad attitudes. This place is horrible for having a birthday at. Never again have a party. The only thing fun is the games if you dont have to deal with the workers

They have been around forever and they are really trying to provide a fun and family atmosphere. They have fixed up the mini golf course and have either replaced or fixed a few go karts. Good job!!

Little crummy but cheap fun golf!

3 stars because its just an okay facility yet still a good time. The mini golf is about 15 years past due for a renovation. Mechanical aspects to some of the holes dont work. The mini golf is overall rundown which is surprising but it is an old facility.

Used to be one of my favorite places to go as a kid. Unfortunately, they havent kept up with the maintenance needed to keep it looking good. Still a fun place to spend a few hours on a nice day if you dont mind putting around some unintended obstacles.

Still a great way to spend an afternoon /evening with friends! I can tell admin have taken time to update some of the areas. Looking for continued progress and visits to this mini-golf park.

Went Memorial Day Weekend! Kids enjoyed themselves. Wasnt super expensive due to the deal they were having. Games for everyone. Plus mini golf with a nice setup. We will be back.

Pretty cool place for everyone in the family. My son LOVED this place and he is 3 years old. I also loved this place.

We had a good time even though when we got to the far end of the course, we couldnt see where the ball went due to the lights being burned out.

Its an aging facility. A lot of the turf has holes in it or is wrinkled up or torn. A lot of the mechanical obstacles are non functioning. Ownership needs to reinvest some of the money theyre making into a facelift. Still a fun place to go, just needs some attention.

Fun place, especially Friday nights. They have a deal for 100 tokens, large 1 topping pizza and 4 drinks, unlimited soft play for only 24.99 + taxes. The two stars are because I was cheated outta of my tickets tonight. I had 564 tickets, left with 320 tickets worth of stuff which wasnt much. But the young guy with the bushy hair working the redeem booth was not very professional, also had a bad attitude. Not my fault youre over your job. Just keep track of your own tickets and purchases.

Several mini golf courses and lots of things to do. Go karts were fun, too. The place needed some maintenance and renovation though. All-in-all a great time.

Lots of fun with a few different cources to choose from. However, everthing on the course it pretty old. Some of the machines dont work. The carpet on some of the course s is messed up. Some of the signs are missing so that unless you know the course you wouldnt know what all of the whole in one options are. And the courses all need to be swept more often because they have acorns/sticks/etc on them.However, we aleays enjoy ourselves playing mini golf and the arcade is always a blast.

Dirty. Staff rude. Bought pizza and drinks for 9 people. Cost a fortune. Plus each of my kids spent a total approx 10 dollars each on games. Then.. We had brought in a small birthday cake. They wouldnt let us eat it there. There was about 1 inch of urine on the mens bathroom floor. Enitre experience was horrible. Will not recommend and will never go back.

I like this place more as an adult then as a kid. Not bad never crowded.

Everything outdated, even stuff falling off of stuff. Looked straight out of the 70s 80s. Ridiculous. Never been updated. Awful.

Cool Crest is great place if you are on a small budget...friendly staff...never no nonsense from patrons...love it
