Nice park! They’ve got a nice trail going around the water. Plenty of tables. Two pavilions. Bathrooms. Fishing. And frisbee golf! In the spring time, you can see pelicans take a little break in the pond as theyhead north to the great Salt Lake. Great place for birdwatching!

Stopped by for disc golf, as it is one of the few courses in the area. The disc golf course was ok. It seems that some holes are back and forth over a large field, and didnt use the trees as much as Id like, but others were very technical and risked going into a pond, or extremely tall shrubs. Watch out for children

Great park to spend time with the family. Lots of benches and sitting areas, along with grassy areas as well. There isnt a lot of shaded areas so the summer season might be a bit hot if you arent in the shade. The pond is large and there are lots of birds and ducks. Fishing is allowed here but we havent seen a lot of success when trying to fish. This area of Hurricane tends to be windy (hence the towns name) so be aware of that when you head to the park. There is lots of parking and there are restroom facilities. There is also a nice paved walking trail as well as some dirt trails that lead to the Virgin River. All in all, a great afternoon or evening park to bring the family to enjoy a nice day outside.

What a difference it is now. It went from being small, and no one knowing, or going to the pond, to now being a big hit. Their building beautiful houses around the pond, built a nice playground, and a beautiful new walking place. This should definitely be on a trail list for everyone to walk.

Really nice pretty pond. Tons of ducks thought. Few big rainbow trout. Biting was slow, but they have some really massive fish in the pond. It looks like they’ve got fin rot though, hopefully they can maintain it better on the future to improve the quality of fish.

This is a big, lovely park with a small playground for children, lots of grass for running, sidewalks for skating, and a paved walkway around a nice pond. Because I have a health condition that prevents me from doing much walking, this is a good place for me to go in a wheelchair and still enjoy nature. Theres even a little dock where you can feed the ducks and geese that frequent the pond.

No matter where youre coming from, make it to this park! One of Hurricanes newest parks is a must visit. Beautiful, well maintained grounds surround Grandpas Pond. Take a walk or run on the path around the pond and youll see and hear the Virgin River as it flows gently by. Bring the whole family here and they will have a great time!

Its clean, open and is an overall nice place to walk around and fish. Fishing is good and basic, great for first timers who want to catch a small trout. There is plenty of parking and the park is fairly hidden away. The only issue I have is that dogs arent supposedly allowed on any of the grass yet they are allowed on the trails. I feel it would be nice if they implemented basic dog stations and allowed one of the smaller fields to be used for dogs.

A nice peaceful pond nestled within a small, growing subdivision, fed by the Virgin River, home to ducks and other wildlife. Walking trails are smoothly paved such that my 82 year old father was able to walk with his cane, without risk of tripping over cracks or holes. The community that uses the park seem to take care of it. I could see no litter or dog waste.

This is a must see! Daily I find serenity and a peaceful journey as I give thanks to my Heavenly Father, I live just a few blocks, I love the walk to and fro, with my niece and nephews. I love the wildlife! the ducks, beavers from time to time, the fish, and to see all the loving families as they enjoy together what God has shared with man and woman as we live on his beautiful Green Earth. I would encourage any visitor any families all walks of life to come and see the surrounding areas Washington County Utah and what God has joined together with us. As for me and my family we wish you a peaceful Journey. God bless in Jesus name.

Went fishing here and i really love this place. First of all let me say it was 40 degrees, overcast, and windy out. Pretty brutal to be fishing, so my expectations were low. However we were there for 45 minutes and caught a 4.3lb trout. It even broke my 4lb test line right as my fiance pulled it up. Its been redone recently also.Thats why I had fun but let me say, sometimes its hard to go fishing as long as i want because we have a child and a few people that dont really fish come with us each weekend to quail creek. Here though, there is picnic tables, fire pits, a play ground, bathrooms, and a walking trail. Plenty of fun things for everyone.
