A small art museum but has enough inspiring and attractive art works! Its very well organized during this pandemic. We visited the exhibition of Long Island high school students! A lot of surprise, how creative the youngsters are!Its family friendly even for small kids, since its relatively small. Whats more, the museum is surrounded by a beautiful, cozy park, best for children!!

I came to see the 2020 Long Island Biennial exhibit. It is so worth it. Such a variety of mediums and artistic styles. I was thrilled to see so many women artists represented. This is a wonderful museum in a quaint little park in the great Town of Huntington! Dont miss it!

Great little museum right in town. They rotate the exhibit collections often so its worth coming back to check out whats new. I appreciate their Emerging Artist series to get exposure to new and up coming artists and highlighting local and community artists. Collections are well curated with accompanying stories and background.

Its a local Art Museum. 2 Prime Avenue just off 25A a little east of the Village of Huntington. Its small. Only 3 rooms. There are docents for special exhibitions. Call first and ask when they are on duty. This last exhibit was really interesting. Artist Gabriella Gonzalez Dellosso paints in the style of women artists of past. But puts a modern twist in the subject matter and usually includes herself in many of the paintings. Her face, but in clothing of the the past. Look her up on Google. She is young, beautiful and very talented.

Small museum bu packed with interesting ark work. Museum I located in Hecksher Park so its a great day trip to see the museum and stroll in the park. Staff is nice - allowing me to stay a few minutes late to finish my viewing as they prepped the room for an evening event and the entrance fee is reasonable. The artwork display changes few times a year, so its worth stopping by each season.

The present management of this fine museum is an absolute disgrace . The present exhibit In a New Light : American Impressionism 1870-1940 is a delight , and would be a treat in any major art museum , the Metropolitan included . However , the sponsor , Bank of America , should close it or demand a simple overhaul of this miniature Museum . Why ? THE SECURITY STAFF IS WORSE THAN USELESS ! I visited today ( 8-1-19) with my wife , and adult patrons routinely got right up to the artwork , within inches , with security guards doing nothing to interfere . Much worse , one young security guard , with an I-pod earpiece plugged in , kept walking in circles around the rooms , his jacket constantly getting within an inch of the paintings . Reminders from the front desk , which I informed , did no good ( he appeared to be high on something ) and he got into a loud argument with me when I reminded him of what he was being paid to do ( protect the priceless artwork ! ). At 64 , with a lifetime of enjoying art museums , never have I witnessed what I saw today . We ultimately walked out ; thats how disgusted we were . The sponsors of this exhibit will be informed as well !

It is a great museum. Currently admission is $2! Who can beat that. Art from American artists currently on display like Norman Rockwell. The park is a nice afternoon walk. Close to shops and great restaurants. Staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Oh and if you have little ones, dont forget to try the digital painter. Fun!

Beautiful artwork, kind and knowledgeable staff, it’s just so small. I felt even the half priced $37 dollar family membership was too much. We paid $2 per adults, kids are free and that seemed reasonable for literally two small rooms of art. Kudos to the high school kids exhibit. They are really talented kids.

They charge admission now! (used to to ask for a donation). They had a very good exhibit of American Impressionist painters until August 2019. Small; 1-2 hrs should be enough time.

My wife and kids had a terrible experience here. They came to visit on 6/13/19 @ 10:30 AM. For a place thats suppose to be child friendly, the staff definitely does not act like it. The hostess/curator that was there, that day, was extremely rude and argumentative. The security guards made my children very uncomfortable, as if they were anticipating them to cause trouble. They are children, for goodness sake! The place is already small enough, but to be bombarded with a staff that clearly had a bad attitude that day, its not even worth a second visit. My wife was very upset by this experience and will never come here again. I am furious with the way she and my children were treated. Stay away from this place.

Heavy Metal photographs by Jan Stalled revealed a landscape of industrial environment beauty. He highlights building materials and the recycling world by transforming their serene forms into works of art. On the grounds of the museum, you can visit a memorial trail constructed with the steel from the buildings from the 9-1-1 tragedy, not designed by Staller.

It is a magical and lovely place!
