What a gem! Everyone was friendly and it had some interesting information on the creation of the museum itself! The Near East collection was a standout.
Couldnt get there in time to enjoy the inside.. Browsed the small trail.. Looks amazing.. I cannot wait to go back and go inside.
Enjoyed the walking trails and the conservatory. The ancient items exhibits.
A neat museum with exhibits varying from ceramics, glass, guns, and an unexpectedly large collection of oil and watercolor paintings. I particularly liked the Julie Chen art book exhibit. I wasnt expecting a huge museum for this city, and I wasnt disappointed. Also learned about an artist Howard Somerville who painted a large portrait at the museum. Its always neat to learn new things!
Wonderful place to visit. The trail is amazing. I love the atrium and the gun collection inside the museum. 5 stars for sure!
This place has some amazing facts...check it out
Friendly staff, some great exhibits and great price.
Beautiful building and outstanding staff who really try to make a great experience for their guests.
Always a fantastic experience that never fails to impress me.
Beautiful place to visit.
Took my granddaughters on a rainy day they were out of school. Tuesdays are free. Great experience for kids and myself.
Great art museum with multiple galleries, small theater, art studios and conservatory. Visited for the Doug Casebeer pottery exhibit and gallery talk.
Very nice little museum. They have several different collections of paintings, guns, pottery and glassware. Staff was friendly and helpful. Place was clean and well maintained. I recommend.
A lot of arts. Paintings, sculptures, botanical, old photos, weapons, glasses, and rugs.
Great place to take the kids or relatives. Its cheap and lots to look at and at some point during the summer you can set the kids up for Art classes....
We accidentally left the interstate near Huntington and stumbled upon signs for the art museum on a roadtrip. Best thing that happened that day of the trip. The museum itself is very well maintained and clean, the displays ranged from folk art and near Eastern pieces to a history of firearms display and candid photographs of performers from the jazz age. The conservatory had a wonderful variety of plants and a few poison dart frogs. Would absolutely recommend to anyone that wants to spend some time in Huntington VA.
Great little museum.
This was a wonderful trail. Smooth progress, very good map and accurately drawn with a legend easy to understand and made paper-map reading very very easy. It has markings for stairs, benches, direction signs and bike racks and I love the attention to detail of this kind! Keep it up and I recommend this be implemented in all trails!
The museum is great, but my familys favorite part is the conservatory, hands down! And you have to check out the butterfly garden.
The botanical garden that surrounds the museum is among my favorite places in the world to walk and picnic. Huge and lush and green and diverse, visiting this place is one great way to stay sane and well.
A great little gem hidden away in our little part of the world.
Wonderful museum featuring a very eclectic collection of art, crafts, glass, firearms, and a beautiful conservatory.
This is one of the finest museums in this country, bar none. The Daywood collection is magnificent.
Nice little gem! Beautiful glass collection.
