Great gym for basketball, volleyball, ping pong, billiards, and an indoor swimming pool - all for free!

This place has so many fun opportunities for young children to learn and grow. Swim lessons, gymnastics, ballet, volleyball and basketball, etc. It is super old but well maintained. It has a lot of charm. Every class we have taken thru HB Sands has been great. Our family wishes the pool was open more to the public but looking over the swim lesson schedule, it seems that there is always a lesson going on.

LOVE this pool. Both of my kids had lessons there and now and now my granddaughter is taking lessons there. She started in the mommy and me and now is continuing forward with her lessons.

I dont really go here to play sports or take a swim but they have a nice pooling table and table tennis. I like how the place looks like a small moment.

This place is so cute! They have a full sized basketball court and a swimming pool. They have restrooms on site. Bleacher style seating in the basketball court and there is parking!

Taught my kid to swim!! Still taking classes. My senior citizen mom takes the low impact aerobic swim classes, fantastic. Great dedicated staff. Excelkent community resource, love love love the kiddie soccer too!!! Art classes at Art Center were great with Ms. Courtney.

Nice facility but very crowded and the parking is terrible. Go early so you wont be late for your class because you will be looking for parking. Could be because its summer and there are lots of swim lessons.

Indoor pool,showers,and basketball/volleyball courts! Only downside is regarding open play basketball.Usually theres volleyball or other group activities going on so often only time to shoot hoop is during the day when most of us work.And open swim is open only after 730 without lessons.

My son is taking volley ball at City Gym & Pool and I have to say the staff is amazing and so patient with the kids. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Plus the facility is beautiful.

Great place for kids.

One of HBs best kept secrets. I worked here for a while so I might be biased but this center is awesome. There are many things to do for free or for cheap. If you have kids this is a fantastic and cheap place to take swimming lessons (indoor pool is a +). If you have a middle schooler send them here to play in the game room or shoot hoops before you pick them up. If that same teenager wants to do sports or take a class, look through the catalog for the huge selection of low priced classes and sign them up. In the same catalog you will find, Tae Kwon Do (shout-out to Master Kia, amazing guy), exercise, dance, aquacise, art classes, and adult sport leagues too. This center is connected with a few other city operated centers in Huntington Beach so there might be a better class/location to sign up for. It was crazy to me that locals would walk in and say theyve never heard about this place and lived a block away! Come here and check it out to see for yourself, I highly recommend the City Gym & Pool!
