Prison Escape was a really fun first time experience. Very straight forward and linear problem solving escape room. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a room to do.

We finally got to try Fox in a Box HB and it was absolutely amazing! Nick was our game master and he was amazing! We will for sure be coming back a requesting Nick for our future games!

One of my friends and I just did The Zombie Lab and we had such a fun time! It was a great room! Our game master, Grace, made the experience way more fun for us! She was super nice to us the whole time and her hints throughout the room were super helpful!! Thanks to her we were able to escape and have such a great night! I definitely recommend coming here! The place / location is so nice and all the rooms are all super creative and fun in their own ways!!

If I could describe my experience in one word it would be outstanding. At first it was just fun and casual to find clues and solve mysteries to escape. However, once I got into the next room, something inside me just sparked. I was just so fired up to continue. The time limit made the experience a whole lot more thrilling! In the end, this place was so worth thirty-five bucks.

Was there today with my best friend and my 2 boys ages 10 & 11, what an an amazing time. Sarah helped us so much and made our time so much better! We got out with one second to spare!

My son wanted his 11th birthday party here. He had 4 of his friends and he chose the prison theme. They had a lot of fun! He wants to do the other themes as well. I booked everything online, super easy. Some of the adults did the zombie lab at the same time, they had a good time. The kids escaped and the adults did not. Both of the story masters were amazing as well!

This was only my second time doing an escape room. My friends and I did the prison. It was fun and challenging. It really made my brain work. Grace and Nick were very nice. I will definitely be coming back to try out the other rooms. Highly recommend.

Fun experience! Our Game Master Cierra was attentive and helpful but not obtrusive. The puzzles were inventive, creative and consistent with the Tesla Room theme. We have enjoyed several puzzle rooms in the area and Fox in a Box is top of the line. This was a good value and we look forward to solving other rooms.

This was our first escape room. The staff was very welcoming and fun. We were in the prison. We needed a lot of help and they would give us our hints as scheduled. They gave us just enough information for us to keep thinking and figure it out. We didn’t escape but completed about 80% of the puzzles. Great props and great fun! Highly recommend. There were only two of us. Would recommend doing this one with more players.

I’ve been here twice and done 3 out of 4 of the escape rooms. It is some of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done. We have escaped all 3 of 4 and the workers here and super nice and helpful. It is super clean and very organized and we all really enjoyed it! The prices did go up from $33 to $35, it may seem high but it was definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back in the future!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Loved every aspect of the experience. Would go back in a heartbeat. I dont remember the names of the staff that helped us but one girl helped in the beginning and through the escape, then a young gentleman helped us in the end and they were both super awesome.

Me and my group really enjoyed the experience! Al was a great gamemaster and kept things engaging and at the perfect atmosphere for us. Sometimes escape rooms can get really into freaking you out, but I was really encouraged by all the staff being very inviting and reassuring (especially since one of our group had high anxiety going into it).

My friends and I did Zodiac and had the best time! The puzzles were challenging enough to make us think but not discourage us!Our game master, Grace, was super friendly and created a super authentic feel to our experience that made escaping that much more entertaining!

We did our company holiday party here. 15 out of 16 had never done an escape room before - I must say we had a blast! We split into three rooms and of course it turned into a competition to see who could get out first. Everyone was engaged, intrigued and fully committed to escaping. Would definitely recommend this as a team builder and Fox in a Box was the perfect place.

We have been to other locations at Fox in a Box, but this one was our favorite. Teslas Mystery was a challenge, but we made it out thanks to our amazing game host Cierra. From the start, she was helpful and attentive. We have done escape rooms where the host was not paying attention. She was not only attentive, but she anticipated what we were struggling with and supported us so we could get out! Overall, great experience made even greater because of our host.

The guy with the beard! So funny! I wish I remembered his name but if you meet him youll know who Im talking about! The staff here is great and so helpful. The Zodiac room was great! We were surprised to make it out when it took so long for us in the beginning, but we did it!! The Tesla room was a different story. We didnt make it out. But we still loved it! Music was perfect! Constructive criticism for the room, I think there were a bit too many locks of the same TYPE. But we will try harder next time!!

Went to Fox in the Box for my birthday and had an AMAZING time. It was the first time my friends and I went, and sadly we didn’t manage to escape in time. However, we had such a fun time. I was a bit worried that it might be a bit hokey, or otherwise not engaging, but I was proven wrong. Our game master Al was very friendly, patient, and open. He really helped my group get into the scenario and also helped one of my more anxiety-prone friend to stay at a manageable level of fear and anxiety. The room we booked was the Zodiac Killer, and I must say the room itself was furnished and styled very well. It really fit the 60s SanFran feel the story was based upon. The hints given were sufficient but did not give too much away, though I will say that the game master’s speaker was on the quiet side. Personally, I had to stand right underneath the speaker in order to hear him, but that was no fault of our game master.My group got up to the second part of this particular room, and our GM told us we were about 90% of the way through! It was both frustrating and pleasing to hear, especially since it was our first time. All of the staff members were not only incredibly friendly, they really made an effort to make sure we (the customers) felt safe and relaxed. Of course, it’s desirable to feel some level of panic and hurry but the staff went out of the way to make sure anxiety levels never rose too high or push the scares too far.My friends and I definitely want to go back here again, it was such a fun time.

This is one of the best escape rooms in orange county! The prison escape was awesome because in many other escape rooms it is just riddles and word puzzles. In this escape room you had to swing something to get something else, you had to actually get out of your cell to move onto things. It was very realistic with piped in prison sounds. We had a blast. My son celebrated his 16th birthday here with friends. They had so much fun! Some of his friends decided to return to celebrate their birthday here as well! Fun place and very clean. The staff is so nice and professional. Highly recommend this place!

We went to this location as a company and boy we had a great time. Not only that, we became closer and work better as a team. The staff was tremendous, very friendly and energetic. I have done other escape rooms and this ranks among the top. I’ve already scheduled to go back with my personal friends.

I have done at least 15 different escape rooms at different locations, but this place is one of my favorites! The rooms are challenging, but not impossible, and they have really cool ~almost magical~ aspects in each of them! There’s also ample space so it doesn’t feel cramped if you have the maximum amount of people. Every person who works there is incredibly friendly and energetic, and they do a great job of getting into character for each different themed room. Always a great experience!

My team went for a team bonding/building experience and we were not disappointed! We did the prison block D escape room and had to work as a team to get out. The puzzles were challenging enough where we had to put our heads together to figure it out, the hints helped us along, and we had a great experience! The most exciting part was how everyone would cheer if we got one step closer to something and it encouraged us to keep pushing as a team! It was a wonderful experience all around and I definitely want to come back with friends in the future!

Definitely a cool experience! Me and two of my friends did the prison break room and it was really fun finding ways to figure all the puzzles out. Unfortunately, we didnt make it out but our game master James really helped us out as much as he could without telling us all the answers!

Grace was AN AMAZING GAME MASTER! We couldn’t ask for a a better game master! She was so funny and really helpful! When I come back with my friends I hope we get her again!

We have never done this before and tonight we came in and the only room available was the Tesla (hardest room). We were very lucky to have Joseph as our director. He was great and made the entire experience fun, even with a 12 year old!! Very fun night

I have done over 100 escape rooms across seven different states. This FITB location provides an outstanding customer experience.We did the Tesla room because we have done all their other rooms at other locations. The Tesla room was a solid 2gen room with good theme and mostly logical puzzles. There were one or two puzzles that were logical leaps, but the game master admitted they are in the process of trying to improve those. All in all, we did escape, with hints, and we had a great time.I highly recommend Fox in a Box for any room. Some rooms are better than others, but you will not leave disappointed.

What a fantastic experience! The puzzles were super fun and clever, but never seemed impossible. The teamwork aspects were great. I never would have escaped on my own. They were very accommodating as well. My friend is claustrophobic and had trouble at one point. They were able to help him without affecting the experience of the escape room. Thanks again!

My two friends and I did the Tesla hotel and Zodiac Killer room. Weve done several escape rooms before and made it out with 3 minutes to spare for Tesla, 15 for Zodiac. We loved the puzzles the most in Tesla and the environment the most in Zodiac Killer, though both had good puzzles and room decor. Everyone working was friendly and helpful! Thank you Cierra, our guide, for such a great experience!

Did the Zodiac room for the first time and got about 60% through on a two-person team. Sarah was super awesome. Will definitely be back to prevail another time (and possibly the other rooms as well).

This was a fun escape room with an extremely fun and helpful staff. We didn’t solve our room, the Tesla room, but it was fun and challenging. We will definitely attempt it again!

This Escape Room concept was really fun and interactive. It had been my first time in an Escape Room. There was 4 in our group, the other 3 had been in rooms were fun. I was a little nervous but going with my friends who had been there before, made the exoirience less overwhelming for me. The room that we did was the Zodiac Killer room. Creepy and challenging. I would definitely recommend this activity to all kinds of people. I would suggest going with a few friends so you have more minds to bounce ideas off of. I noticed that each one of us had different strengths when figuring out the puzzles.

What a fun experience! We played the head to head prison escape room and had a blast! There were eight adults total so we split it up to four vs. four, boys vs. girls. The girls won of course. The clues were the right amount of hard and the hints worked out great. Half of our group had never done an escape room and everyone said they would do it again!

Our friends & I did the Zodiac room here and it was AMAZING! There was so much detail that went into it that made it even more fun!! Our game master Emma made the experience over the top!! We ended up escaping the room with little less than 20 minutes and we definitely will be coming back here with more people!

We came here yesterday to do the Zodiac room and had such a great time that a couple hours later we went back and did Zombie Lab! Zodiac was our favorite of the two but both were a lot of fun and actually really difficult!Zodiac was definitely creepy but I wouldnt say it was scary. The puzzles were linear but all 6 of us were busy the whole time, inspecting this and that, theorizing what to do, working together on solutions, etc. Six was a good number of people to have in the room, though you could probably do it with 4 or 5 as well. We escaped with only 3 minutes to spare, and Ill admit we had to use a few hints! It was probably the 3rd most difficult room Ive done (out of maybe 10 or 12 weve tried).The second most difficult room Ive ever done was Zombie Lab! This one was not scary at all, though some details did give a sense of anticipation. Its also a bright atmosphere, not dimly lit, which I know some people prefer. Like Zodiac, 4-6 is probably a good number of people to have (we had 6). The puzzles are linear and there are plenty of things for each person to inspect and try to figure out. The clues within the room are a little more vague and its not always obvious what youre supposed to do. That adds to the fun though, and fits in well with the storyline. We escaped with 2 minutes to go- we really didnt think we were going to finish!Our game master for both games was Megan, and she was fantastic! Super-friendly, fun, and with a great sense of humor. She definitely added to our experience and seemed to enjoy our game almost as much as we did! The clues she gave us were great- they started off vague and leading- rather than explicitly tell us what to do or look at, she guided us in the right direction, and gave more details as needed on the occasions we were reallllllly stuck.Out of all the rooms Ive done, Id say these both ranked somewhere in the middle. The sets, production value, and puzzles were all really well done. Maybe not the best of the best, but still great. I think people of any age and experience level would enjoy these rooms.I highly recommend Fox in the Box, and cant wait to come back and do all the other rooms!

Amazing staff and experience! i was in town for a trainning and decided to drop by for a game. 1st night i did the zodiac killer and Gorgio and Emma greeted us and hosted the game very well. if it wasnt so late i would of done a 2nd game!Went back a 2nd time the following day! Laura the GM greeted us with a big smile and warm welcome. We asked for recommendation on which room we should do next and we were recomended to the zombie room then perhaps tesla.I believe it was megan that hosted us in that room.once we finished we were on such a high we did tesla right after!we had Sarah as GM.after doing 3 rooms i have to say i am very impressed with the staff and the rooms.all rooms were very nicely decored with details. fun variety of puzzles.most importantly each one of the game masters were fantastic. Having done over 80 rooms around the world, i can say rhe staff here are super attentive to your game and are paying full attention through the game vs others i have experienced where we asked for hint, wait few mins for someone to walk in, then ask ok where are we at... here everyrhing flowed really well as soon as we needed help.Definetely a must try escaperoom!Big Thanks to the whole Fox in a Box Huntington Beach Team.

This was my family’s second time doing an escape room and loved fox in a box. We did the zodiac and prison escape. Sean and the other cast members were GREAT and very much in character. We will definitely come back to solve more rooms!

The staff was great. Very amusing. We did the Zombie room. We have done a lot of escape room, this one was very challenging. My only criticism is that I felt some of the clues could have been a little more tied together with the physical elements in the room. I will definitely be back for more rooms!

We did zombie lab and we had a great time. Its nice to have your wits tested under pressure. We have been doing escape rooms who emphasized production value over riddles and puzzles that we lost a great deal of critical thinking. Fox in a box blends modern tech escape rooms with good old classic locks and codes. The best of both worlds. As you play more escape rooms youll see the difference. Fox in the box got it right.

This was the first time Ive done an escape room. I WILL DO IT AGAIN! The initial reception and instructions took about 10 minutes so get there a bit earlier than the appointment time. Our Game Master Gracie at Huntington Beach location was great. Clues were poignant but not obvious. It took us as many hints as we could take and close to full time. It was totally worth the time and cost. We had a party of 4 in the Zodiac Killer room. Very exciting and adrenaline pumping at the end. Bring a sharp mind and smart friends.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I have done escape rooms all over the world and Fox in the Box has some of the most incredible and fun rooms I have been in. We went as a group of 6 and we had Ryan as our host and he was amazing. The first room (Zodiac Killer) was so great we ended up doing a second room (Zombie Lab) right after. They both had great stories and all the clues and puzzles followed the storyline which makes the rooms the top two Ive ever done. They both made you think outside of the box with unique challenges. I can not wait to come back to complete the other two rooms! Highly recommend this company, you wont regret it!

Hands down the best escape rooms in SoCal. Their attention to detail is amazing and the experience makes you forget about your life, even if only for a few hours. We did it as a team building experience and we all bonded in new ways and it has made us work better together in our business setting. We have done 2 rooms so far with them and cant wait to do more.

SO MUCH FUN. Excellent rooms, great time. GRACE WAS THE BEST. To be perfectly honest, there were a couple of things not working properly in the rooms, and they admitted it was a recurring issue... also we were given slightly more subtle hints than we technically asked for, however, the overall experience, the staff, and especially GRACE, was all so great, it is five star worthy! Highly recommended!!

Took my daughter for her 18th birthday! The 6 of us had so much fun solving the zodiac room. We did it in 53 minutes! This was the first time I did one of these rooms and I recommend it to anyone!

Fox in a Box has definitely been one of my favorite escape rooms by far. My best friend and I have been taking different groups of people to come experience the different rooms. So far we’ve hit Zodiac, Zombie Lab, and Tesla. All of which had been amazing and challenging escape rooms that never cease to challenge us. Our game master, Giorgio, was another major reason why the experience was so fun and enjoyable. Whenever we were lost, he was able to give us hints that pushed us on the right path, without giving anything away, which still amazes me. Overall, I’d say that I am over enthused about the new room opening and will be there to try it!

Fox in a Box was tons of fun! Staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially with our group considering it was our first time doing an escape room. We did the Prison Escape competition with two teams of four. It was very thrilling and definitely requires some out of the box thinking! Highly recommend for anybody looking for a fun activity with friends or family. Looking forward to going back and trying some of the more difficult rooms!

Came to Fox in a box for a birthday celebration and it did NOT disappoint! The employees were friendly, intriguing, and in character when introducing us to the prison room. The group enjoyed the prison room so much that we decided to do a second room the same day (zombie room)! With 6 people in the group, we were able to escape both with teamwork and creative thinking. Will definitely come back to try and escape the other rooms.

The zodiac is a must try for escape room lovers

From the moment we walked in to the time we left we had a great time. The room made you feel like you in were definitely in a prison setting. The puzzles required everyone to work thorough them. 4 people minimum. We were able to finish it at the last moment and I think you need every minute of it. We were only able to do the one room but if the others were like this one its definitely worth it.

I lead a group of escape room enthusiasts that have played dozens of rooms over the past couple years. We decided to try our first Fox in a Box room last night, the Zombie Escape room.We got our first impression from the lobby, which was plain and crowded with groups waiting to start. Unlike other escape facilities which usually have fun warm-up puzzles and are easy to get comfortable, this venues lobby was more like a doctors office waiting room. The waiting area was very crowded because all rooms start at the same time. If the start times were cascaded by 1/2 hour, it would be significantly easier to check in, but since everyone arrives at once, it took 15 minutes to get an ipad/tablet to check every participant in (they only have 2 or 3 to pass around to 5 rooms full of people). This may be more efficient for the employees because they can brief the rules to all rooms at once, but it made for a much less group-specific experience.As for the room itself, the puzzles were very linear -- you must solve a specific one before moving on to the next. Therefore if your team got stuck, there was really nothing to do until you give up and ask for a clue, which made the room relatively boring. We had 6 people but this room was better suited to about 3. One early puzzle in particular was very much un-intuitive and solving it would have just been a matter of luck without asking for a clue, which was tacky.The staff and our game master were certainly friendly and responsive. We did ask for 2 clues overall, but wish the clues were more subtle -- the ones we got easily gave the puzzle away.Due to the linearity of this room, Im not very optimistic about the other rooms at this location -- Id think about going back but probably not for full price, which is about 20% higher than the price of most escapes in this area.

The Triple Sevens team of three mad scientists were able to beat the clock and save humanity from the Zombie Virus outbreak that had taken over the world with just seconds to spare! Our game host Cierra was awesome and super fun! We had a great time and cant wait to take on the next escape challenge!

This location of Fox in a Box is really fun and youre immersed in the setting of the room youll be going into even when youre outside of it getting instructions since the hallways are also themed. I did Teslas Mystery and it is their most challenging room, so my group decided to do it twice since we didnt make it out the first time and the failure was eating at us. They dont have Do not touch stickers, so just expect to hear Hey guys, dont touch that coming from the power above for the first few minutes of the game. Otherwise, it was set up really well and takes ingenuity. Good luck!

I love escape rooms! My friends and I do them monthly. I’ve done Fox in a Box before and didn’t get out. We got out of this time! They are one of the more challenging artists but i still enjoyed the difficulty. It makes getting out that much sweeter! The facility is clean. The staff is friendly. Sign-in is a breeze.

This was my first Escape Room experience. It was a blast.It was challenging but very fun. The Game Master was veryhelpful and encouraging. We chose the Jail. I would highlyrecommend this challenge. All the staff were great.

Did the Tesla Room. Really creative and well put together, but wayyy to hard, especially for only 60 minutes. Should be an 90 minutes in my opinion. A couple of the puzzles were just too difficult. But overall it was a really well designed room. Would definitely be willing to check out the other rooms here.

Today we celebrated one of our team members Birthdays by taking on the Tesla room. We arrived late to the time we had intended to play the room but Cierra was kind enough to help us out in accommodating our inconvenient situation. Cierra then proceeded to immerse us into the room to which we can say that it was quite challenging. Right to that point where you enjoy the puzzles and appreciate the theme. Overall we recommend this room and the service provided by Cierra. There is nothing that we were unhappy with and suggest that she keep up the exceptional work!

My wife and I and our two kids went (15 and 11) on a Saturday morning. The staff was prepared and really into it. We had such a great time we actually signed right up and did a second room right then. This place is great and well worth it. We will be going back.

We were the first group to try the rooms at this new location and were not disappointed. It was their first day so naturally things didnt go entirely as planned, but the people at Fox in the Box rolled with it and made sure that it was still a fun and exciting experience.They put a lot of thought into these rooms and it shows, some of them are tough! I guess I wouldnt want it to be too easy though. We brought a big group of first time escape room players and almost everyone said they would love to do it again. Great job Fox in the Box!

Our group of five did the Prison Escape Room. This was my bf and I 50th room! It was a very detailed and active room. The room was fun and the staff was great in explaining the rules and helping us get situated in the the room. There is a high technical value to the room. We didnt have any technical issues with he room which is always good. I highly recommend this place. They have a good amount of rooms at this location too!

As usual, the group decided day-of that we wanted to do an escape room Friday night. This was my third one ever, but the other had plenty of experience and were excited to check out the HB location as they had been to the Fullerton rooms before. Since there were 7 of us we went for the Prison Head-to-Head. Absolutely my favorite experience so far- from check in until we walked out the door everyone was very friendly. Our guard was probably my favorite part- he was totally in character for the duration. When we finished we had a nice post-mortem discussion with him about the game play and our various escape room experiences. The cost was spot on for the show and puzzles, it was a TON of fun!! Highly recommend to any one- new to escape rooms or a pro-level escape artist. Also parking was readily available- always a bonus :)

The website was confusing so the wrong date was clicked and a room was reserved for the wrong date. When tickets were bought, there was no confirmation screen saying what tickets were bought or what date the room was reserved for. My family loves escape rooms, but we wont be going to this one again.

Awesome experience, friends family was in town and wanted to try the escape room. They had a blast!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful through the whole experience. Would definitely try another room

We have been here for two team building events now and had a blast both times. We tried both the Zodiac room and the Zombie Apocalypse room and Ill just say I liked them so much Ill be going with my family next!

Teslas mystery was very interesting, but a few puzzles had issues and some clues were hard to read / find. I think this could be a great room with a few minor fixes. Zodiac killer is good, but there are a few dead end points that basically make you use a clue unless you get lucky.

Booked the Zodiac Killer escape room for my partner’s birthday. Went to universal the week before and I have to say, without scare-actors and a whole movie studios funds and resources, Fox in a Box was able to deliver a more immersive and creepy (if you pick this room) experience, let alone a far more fun one! I definitely recommend and plan on going again.

Had a great time in Zodiac! Our game master, Giorgio, was really into it and helped us out whenever we got stuck. Overall great experience and will definitely be coming back soon!
