Very clean bowling alley and the lanes are oiled pretty good. Food looked great and for $28+ tax you can bowl for 2 hours with 2 people. Very good prices. Have not visited the shop or tried the food but it looked and smelled fantastic

Inexpensive bowling alley. Pretty busy evey time Ive visit. My favorite thing is how organized and clean this location is. Plus they have a friendly staff.

Like many other comments state the inside of the place is outdated but everything is clean and a great place to spend time with friends and family. Pricing is the best around compared to the other places near by.Food wait obviously varies depending on how busy the place is but the guy working Sunday (and he may be the only one) is killing it. Very friendly and the club sandwich we tried was pretty good. Cant wait to come back.

I wanted to do something fun because my brother and nephew were visiting for Thanksgiving .... but I was skeptical because I wanted to try one of the new upscale bowling places near memorial city, but we decided to go to Emerald due to it being more convenient to home and my husband saw the groupon! He likes getting a deal! I was pleasantly surprised! Emerald was very clean, (l saw lots of sanitizing going on due to covid), the other patrons were considerate too (all wore masks unless eating), there were several families there, and the staff was friendly and attentive! Overall it was really a terrific experience. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced as well. Thanks for a great time on Black Friday in 2020!

Roomy bowling alley. Definitely a classic look to it and has not been modernized, but that is a positive for this place. Most modernized slleys around here are cramped and dirty. Not Emerald! I look forward to playing here more often.They have a great Pro Shop that explains everything in detail. Fast service and reasonable prices.

A night at Emerald Bowl was just what me and my son Lance needed just me and him in our own Lane...#7 that was..The whole staff was very polite,from the cashier...to the nice cooks in the snack bar. Wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside..The nice Lady at the bar who made my sons smoothie. My son was very impressed that she made it with the perfect amount of ice to fill up his Styrofoam cup.pizza was cheesy and hot.. my son actually said he was impressed because he did not think that the pizza was going to be that delicious he ate 7 slices and took the rest home and for breakfast lol. I say that all night at Emerald Bowl was excellent and we will be returning we had a tie score in the end but Ill get him next time

Pretty Low priced, Bowled 2 lanes for 2 hours only $11 a person. Good clean establishment to have fun with large groups and Familys. They also have a food court that seemed to have some pretty good options

Love the staff and love how clean the staff keeps the bathrooms and rest of the areas. We feel comfortable spending time here so we come from Stafford just to bowl there.

My first time bowling an it was great had sum nice shots of liquor to which topped it off . Only problem was the dude burnt my pizza an u could smell it I just was hoping that wasnt my food he was burning and why did he try to give that too us i had to take it back and order another he gone alcan u check it an make sure its ok like.... the sarcasm was unnecessary he was lucky I was in a good mood

The staff was nice. Did not eat there though. They did have a good selection of bowling balls to choose from.

The front desk staff is very unprofessional. They were screaming at 10 of us bowling; spending money in their establishment about pulling our masks down while taking a drink of our water, drinks, food, etc, all the while no one else was wearing their masks. I’ve never heard front desk staff scream so loud and embarrass our family. It was humiliating and unprofessional. The guy was a little thick with brown hair wearing a green shirt. I couldn’t get his name. Will not be spending money here again. By the way, I have severe asthma. I literally can’t always breath well with a mask.

Overall it was a pretty good experience. Its an older bowling alley, but we still made the best of the experience.

We went here coz it says kids friendly environment, plus have a good review.. but its way far from what I seen.. we went around 4pm. Not seen even one kid. All I see is bunch of grown folks drinking, too crowded and no social distancing at all.. it smells beer inside.. we ended up leaving its more look like a bar not much people playing either just talking and drinking and walking around

I really enjoyed my recent visit to Emerald Bowl. Especially nice was the fact that the TV displays didnt have any of the distracting TV shows or weird music videos that most alleys have constantly playing; their screens only showed the scores and pictures of the food on offer (which looked tasty). This made it more family-friendly, also. They have tons of lanes and good prices. $10 pitchers of beer! Highly recommend.

Attended a birthday party. Started off social distancing then, they put people right next to us, the later it got. Received two burned pizzas, which they fixed, but the party was over. Not a good first experience.

Great outing. Went to practice with my wife and son. All protocols being followed. We bowled four games each and we were done. In and out with no problems. We will be back!

In general the place was OK, we had a good time bowling and we saw very good bowlers around us. However, the computer had a few issues keeping up the score, and the bumpers cant be used for one person only.

Brought the family here to bowl and we had a great experience. Great fries and cheesy tots! Beer was ice cold and big pitcher was $10. The staff were friendly and lanes were in good shape. The shoes were clean and relatively new as well.

Really nice place to bowl. On the outside its not the most glamorous, but the lanes are are the best that Ive seen in Houston. They have all new balls with out dents, so its doesnt feel like youre bowling with Fred Flintstones bowling balls. And you cant beat the price, its by far the best deal for 2 hours that Ive seen. I would take Emerald over Main Event or Dave & Busters bowling any day.

It was great. Have lot of fun. Clean. The only reason they dont 5 start is because the machine got stuck 3 time and I lost 20 minutes and I didnt got those back. But Im happy

Place is pretty cool. The desk clerk has like a Jekyll and Hyde attitude. I think hes doesnt really know how to do customer service in the ghetto.

Emerald Bowl is a fun place to go bowling. I find the staff are friendly and helpful. The place is well kept. The staff appear not to be lazy--they work for their money.

This was a group outing for students. I used groupon and booked a lane for 2 hrs. Upon arrival we had a few more students join us. I booked another lane for 2 hrs. Below par customer service at the counter. We ordered 2 pizzas, 2 pitchers of soda, and 2 large fries. First pizza turned out alright. The second one arrived late and was burnt on the sides. I asked the server/ chef - Is the pizza burnt? He replied- No ma’am. As if I cannot see that the pizza is burnt. It was time for us to leave. So I did not want to waste any time over the pizza. To sum it up, food was edible, bad customer service, unimpressive ambience. Will not be coming back.

They have pretty good deals sometimes and the place is decent. We’ve been going to this place for a couple of times and we always have had fun.

I was looking for a place to drill my bowling ball. I called up there and talked to Mike and was quoted that my ball would cost 40 dollars to drill and have the fingers plugged. I agreed to do it and then I picked up my ball 4 days later. I came to get the ball and Jim told me it was going to cost me 90 dollars. Total deviation from the estimated quote I got from Mike. And of course I told Jim but he said thats how much it cost and if I wanted my ball back I would have to pay that 90 dollar. Clearly bait and switch... The website even says 40 dollar for drilling and plugs...

First time bowling in Houston, this place is ok, but needs some upgrades, equipments are so old that players dont even get penalized for stepping over the foul line.

The staff is great. Super quick to help when needed. Music is not too loud. Crowd is not too rowdy. As for the kitchen ....... They need to add fajitas to their menu.

Good lanes, good equipment. Things are a tiny bit dated but thats okay. Its spacious and was an enjoyable place to bowl.

Reasonable prices. Good concessions, well attended lots of different nightly leagues for male and female. Alcoholic Drinks couldve been mixed better but overall it was fun.

I would give it 3.5 stars. It was an ok place for bowling with family. Equipments were old and the facility was not kid friendly. I.e. there wasnt any lane assist rolling ramp and there were no light weight bowls for kids. Good Music and ample parking spots at facility was the plus though.

I like this bowling alley. Sort of a hole in the wall. Decent prices! $25.50 for a bucket of modelos, Im not mad! The chairs used on the lanes for guests could be a bit comfier but overall I liked this bowling alley. And it was 6 of us, we played for two hours and it came out to be about $50 (shoes included). Dont let the neighborhood intimidate you. Everyone minds their own business!

Not the nicest bowling alley Ive ever been to but certainly not the worst. You had better bring your wallet because bowling here isnt cheap. 3 people to bowl 2 games cost nearly $45. For that price you could just as easily go and do pretty much anything else and still have money left over. After we paid to bowl I was too afraid to check their food and drink prices.

Great big bowling alley. One of the few old school ones left in town. Kinda shabby and in a little bit sketchy part of town. Place was packed full with a 1 hour wait for a lane so we didnt actually bowl but it looked very popular with the regulars.

This is a Bowlers Paradise.Everything is catered to bowling league style. Im not a professional bowler by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoy feeling as if I am. This alley provides that atmosphere.The Parking is plentiful.The Food is reasonably priced.The Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, & funny.There Tuesday promotion its what drew is in. I dont know how long that promotion will last, but it was $14+ for unlimited bowling. I was with a group of 5 & we bowled up to 6 games from 9:30pm until 12am.I enjoyed myself. I think you will also. I would recommend calling before going because like I said its catered for league style bowling & I think thats the bulk of their business. You would want to check when they finish & amateurs are allowed to bowl.

VERY old bowling alley. Lots of lanes. We went on a weekday, during the day, and it was empty, which was nice! They have groupons and living social deals which are nice. Remember: the rental shoes usually run large in my opinion, so ask for a size lower.

Loved this bowling alley, it keeps true the atmosphere of a bowling alley of yesteryear. It has a pro shop, discounted rates for groups, and the staff is friendly/reliable. I suggest going on Sunday with tons of open lanes.
