Food was so delicious. This place has a nice feel to it. If it wasnt far from my work I would come by more.

If you want the dance, youll do plenty of that here. The bar caters to the young, so the drinks are subpar and the cups are plastic. However, they have a balcony where you can sit and look and a backyard style longe area to rest those dancing feet.

We went tonight on Nov, 6th 2020 and it was soooo freaking lit!! It was 21+ though and the made u walking with your mask on.. all i can say is everyone was soooo freaking nice, and it was definitely lit and i surly will be going back soon.

I had a great time here! Lots of great music, I was dancing all night! I also love the color light background behind the bar. It was super crowded, but we were towards the section area and underneath the fans, it made the experience better!

After reading the reviews regarding a mean door woman.. I rather not take the risk to visit this place for a good time. I don’t know how I would act if some large woman or anyone decided to shove me. This place use to be the place to release some steam on the dance floor but after a few years not attending.. I’ll move on to something more promising

The employees are very disrespectful to women. They made snide comments calling us poor for no apparent reason and made us feel very uncomfortable.

1st club I ever went too and it was an awesome time. Dance floor is small but has an amazing view on the second floor to have drinks and chat with people

This place is lit. One of the best bars/night clubs in Houston. Only 8 pounds to get in. Drinks are a bit expensive though. But its definitely worth it .

I DO NOT recommend this place at all. They always have a “fake line” to draw attention to their establishment, but it’s empty once you get in. Additionally, I ordered a Kettle One shot, and it clearly wasn’t. It ended up being some kind of cinnamon shot. When I tried to confront the bartender, he told me that it was Kettle One and there was nothing he could do about it. However, if you’re under 21, then this is your only option in the gayborhood.

Great to see kids 18+ still go here and SOBE Montrose is like a meusum now. Lol. SOBE guys and gals need to go back and restart up the place. Bring back the old days. :)

Security is not welcoming. Place almost always breaks into a fight. And if you’re under 21 you will get charged every time you reenter the place. Aside from that music is good

Went to this place by chance, had the best time! Not Lesbian or anything, but everyone was so nice! The dancers, the bartenders, even the person at the door. Definitely recommend going. Also, across the street is the BEST taco truck!

I was here today it was raining and there was this guy I guess he was the bouncer not Putting racial profile outhere but he was (African American) wearing a UFC Shirt who got so aggressive over the fact that people where waiting for friends to come out so they could go home. He even pushed me and got violent because I was waiting for a friend to come out out the establishment promises. Honestly this club has gotten out of hand. He tries to act tuff to intimidate gay people. Like calm down people are trying to get their friends home safe. If this is the environment this place is having never comming back and would never recommend.

This place is complete trash and not worth your time. You’re better off going to Eagle, JRs or Crocker’s.

This is the worst club I’ve ever been to in my entire life. I couldn’t see if they actually had a DJ, but if there was an actual DJ they sounded just like someone picking songs from a teenage girls playlist on an aux cord. The people here are incredibly unfriendly, and were banging on the door while my friends and I were trying to use the restroom. They smashed the door on my friends finger, and the bartenders refused to give us a cup of ice for her finger. I politely tried to tell them our friend smashed her finger and I would pay for their precious ice, in which they still refused and said I had to purchase a drink. It took about 20 minutes to get a drink from the bartenders, as they only prioritize people who are buying them shots. It was $8 to get in, but honestly you will have a better time if you spend your money literally anywhere else. This place should be paying for people to come. It is mediocre on its absolute best night. I will make sure no one I know spends their money here.

Depending on the night you go, the music varies from ratchet to sexy dancing with your partner or lonesome. Its almost always packed though so pack light and keep things close. Drinks are quick. You should mostly go for the dancing if not there are bars next door that arent as tightly packed. They all got sexy dancers tho. I tell you one thing though I only needed one drink to get in the groove when I went

The overweight Asian woman at the door assaulted me. We came in and asked what the cover charge was. She explained it was $8 for people who are 21+ and $10 for people who are under 21. This added up to $26 for our group. I attempted to give her $25 cash and $1 on a card because I did not want to break another $20 bill for a $1 charge. She then told me to “stop being f****** cheap”. At that point just paid the fee in all cash. As we were walking past her I asked my girlfriend why this woman was being so rude to me. At that point she lunged at me and used her large linebacker frame to slam me into the wall. A man then shoved me out of the door and refused to give me my money back until I got the police officers outside to approach them.

You don’t go to this bar to make good choices. Five stars for fun, but three because the choices.

This place is great on Sunday night. The drinks are strong and the music is awesome if you like Latin pop. If you go here check out Ozzie in the front bar area. He is fast, courteous and makes excellent drinks.

Best dancing experience Ive had at a bad hands down. Tons of attractive people to dance with. Drinks are reasonable. Loved it.

Rude staff especially the heavy Asian lady at the door. Great music and fun place minus the customer service. They are quick to put you on the street with no debit card and tell you to take a hike!

Went on a Friday night and it was pretty packed, pretty fun, drinks were strong, the orange juice for the screwdrivers was very tangy and not really sweet, so if youre looking for a sweet drink, maybe go blue Hawaiian or something. They wont give you free water, which my head really isnt appreciating this morning.

They charge u for 2 entrees and if u dont buy a drink that cost as much as the bottle they throw u out its been 3 times they have done it. So they are terrible the music the staff everything about them is the worse Id go anywhere hut here

First time going and it was Amazing! Stayed until they closed. Great atmosphere

No wine. Very bad ammonia bleach smell. I suppose they needed to clean the place but my eyes were burning from the strong ammonia. My female friend had to remove her contacts because the smoke on dance floor irritated them so much. I suppose it would probably be best if one didnt wear contacts here.

Worst bar I’ve ever been to in my life. Jojo is the worst there and a piece of s*** person. Me and my friend went last night to have fun and went through the usual procedures, bag check and id check. Im 20 and my friend is over 21 so I got the X’s on my hand no problem at all. Once we entered the club I had to use the restroom like any normal person who washes their hands after they use the restroom that’s what I did. We went to go sit down and my friend went to buy herself a drink at the bar and I stayed in the booth minding my business. Jojo the fat girl with green or blue hair comes up to me and asks to see my hands. I showed them to her not payong attention that the ink smeared off my hands and faded away just a little bit. The X’s on my hands were still pretty visible under a flashlight but she didn’t care. She begins to tell me that I had to leave because I “purposely” washed the X’s off of my hands. So I begin to tell her yea I went to the bathroom and washed my hands but I did not purposely wash it off. She still says that I had to leave so I ask her okay if I could just get the X’s back on is that okay, she says no. I then asks her if I just pay again I wouldn’t mind because it wasnt a big deal and she says no you have to leave. So I got up and said okay fine im just going to let my friend know at the bar that I have to leave and jojo says “no you have to go now” so I told her okay thats fine I understand but Im still going to let my friend know. So I walk to my friend at the bar and explain to her that I had to leave because the X’s are off my hands blah blah blah. Jojo then starts to shove me towards the door and up until that point I got angry and told her don’t put your hands on me it’s no need for that because Im walking out. She starts to become more aggressive and shoves me to the ground making me scrape my knee and still saying that I needed to leave. Im not sure what her issue was because she seen me come in the door since it was dead in there but she must of took her anger out on me for some odd reason. I had no issue with leaving up until the point when she starts to become violent. I tried talking to the manger of the club and got no response so I am now taking it upon myself to press charges against jojo for assaulting me the way she did. I was a regular customer at that club and now I will never go there again. The employees are violent to the people who walk in there because this wasn’t the first I have heard about them assulting people at this club. PLEASE read this and don’t come to this club unless you want to be assulted here. There needs to be better staff who work here and I am still going to follow through with pressing charges.

After the south beach drag show I head over to blur, where the real party gets started! The music is very mainstream and very easy to dance to. There are female dancers and a small stage to get crunk on if youre really feeling it. Not to mention there is a top level with furniture and a balcony to smoke some cigs if thats what youre into. BE PREPARED TO WAIT FOR ABOUT 10 MINS. This club likes to have a line out front. I would suggest going around 10:30 to 11 for maximum fun!

Will openly refuse to serve you a glass of water.Expensive bottles only. . .If youre over 21and have to leave for any reason .evwn thought you have been tagged and paid your entry you will habe to wait in the long ass line if ther is one.Soft drinks cost more than import beer .If you are drunk enough they will try and sneek charges on to your ticket. Caught one of them trying to do it after i refused to buy a bottle of water. He said he would cover it becaise i was willing to cancel the entire drink order he made for me, then tried to sneak it in . After I told him i didnt want it i wont pay for it he got pissed and threw the money (only $3 but its principle) at me . Security is very hostile and rude saw they were just picking on the guy infront of the line cause idk he was drunk or something they just kept threating him .

Theres two things I dislike about this place: the unorganized restroom situation and the line you must wait in prior to entering.Lets start with the line. If you have to wait to get in, its likely because theyve reached maximum occupancy. I believe thats somewhere in the range of 200-300 people. Usually the amount of people that can leave is the amount of people that may enter.The restrooms are all in one room with mens only having 2 urinals and 2 toilets. The womens has 3 toilets. For two to three hundred intoxicated people... it can get a little challenging. You must wait in line and put up with intoxicated people skipping the line.Other than that, the place is great. They play great music, have a decently sized dance floor (although South Beachs is larger), an outside smoking area (a nice cozy patio) and drinks are priced similarly to other bars ($5-8 per drink/beer). Theres also enough bartenders (or perhaps the bartenders are very fast) that you wait very little to get a drink.As far as the people, expect the age range to be between 18-23 with a very rare variation up to 40. Compared to other bars Ive been to, this bar is mostly for people in their late teens / early to mid twenties.
